    Years ago I found this unknown red piece of plastic with that said "push" on the top. I thought maybe it came with a fire extinguisher but wasn't sure so I saved it and put it away in a drawer. Thanks to your video, I now know what it belongs to. This Windtunnel max that I found in my aunt's garage has never been used but more than once or twice if at all. I found it bagless and it's clean as a whistle. Just installed the new envirocare filtration bags. Thanks a lot!

    I owned a Bissell Healthy Home Bagless Upright for the past 10 or so years and decided to retire it to my basement man cave. It was way too heavy to carry and emptying it in the garage always caused a huge dust storm. Cleaning the Bissell was also very time consuming, so I bought the Hoover Windtunnel Max Bagged from Amazon a couple months ago and love it.

      I thought those Healthy Homes looked pretty good for a bagless bissell, but they were always comically oversized and overweight. Cleaned well though! Glad you like the Hoover.

    I have a Hoover Tempo for almost 7 years, it still works even after falling down a flight of stairs and was beat to death by people who I let borrow it over the years. The only problem now is the cord is all messed up and the motor is starting to go. The temp has amazing suction, really cleans my rugs well. Hope this will do the same or better.

    I purchased 2 of these today. 1 for myself one for my daughter. Both Factory Blems thru Direct tool discount. I paid $35 each after my Military discount. Both vacuums bogged down on my carpet while using the highest carpet setting. The bogged down to the point that the roller stopped… yes, both vacuum’s. As soon as I pushed them the roller spun well. Now it seemed as if the more I used them the less it stopped the roller. Almost like it had to learn my carpet..🤷‍♂️🤣. You are definitely correct about the cheap attachments. Wow are they!! I can’t complain too much because in the end it seemed like the picked up nicely and for $35

      They both need new belts. They likely sat new in the box with the brushroll belts getting stretched out. New brushroll belts will solve your issue completely.

    Funny you should mention about it being important that the brush-roll remains stationary when locked in an upright position, because my dad utterly ruined a 90’s bagged Eureka we had nearly 20 years ago, because he sat it directly down on rocks to use the hose to clean his truck.
    It actually kept working, but only because the motor was able to overpower the belt and actually keep turning even though the brush-roll has seized.
    Eventually the entire vacuum seized and it never worked again

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 4 lety +2

      That's a shame. A brushroll shutoff feature when the machine is upright definitely helps protect the vacuum.

    Last summer my 34 yr old hoover windtunnel finally gave up the ghost when I ruined it somehow while trying to replace the belt myself , after it got caught on something. It still sucked liked a wind funnel, and except for cracked wands, it ran like new at 34 years old. 😢 Family had even run over the cord and stripped the insulation off in multiple places along the length of it and it was wrapped with electrical tape, and until I did SOMETHING I shouldn't have or whatever got caught up in it, it was a treasure.

    That part where you said that upright vacuums they rub on the carpet when you're using the attachments because the brush roll isn't shutting off well most vacuums except for kenmore's they go to automatically the highest position so the brush roll doesn't rub the floor but there might be a problem with a Kenmore

    • @VacTech1

      I think so! If you're going for thick plush carpet, you're going to want a vacuum with a generous manual carpet height adjustment, which this Hoover has. Be sure to change the belt on this Hoover as needed to maintain performance (every year or two). Thanks for watching!

      Hi I just seen your question about are these uprights good for Mohawk carpets they actually are very good for Mohawk Carpet my sister has really thick medium shag Mohawk plush carpet and they were out of town and I was watching her house and I brought it over and I vacuumed the carpet with it and it did exceptionally well. Being that it has 8 carpet height adjustment it allows you to ra4 nozzle high enough to wear it still groom the carpet and allows for adequate air flow across the nozzle. So yes you will love this upright it's a very good upright I've had it now for about 2 years. And it's still going strong and I have to say I really like it

    Hello again. So I’ve had this model for about a month now and I really like it. I have a question for you. I didn’t think I’d ever use the roller attachment that goes on the end of the hose but I’ve come to really like it. However that attachment recently started to make a howling noise and I can tell it’s not spinning at full speed because when it stops the howling noise it spins much faster. Do you know the cause or possible fix for this if you are familiar with what I’m explaining. Thanks again.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 3 lety +1

      You may need to open the tool up, and clean out any hair built-up around the brushroll (including the ends), and any on the turbine inside the tool. Make sure the hose has good suction too, and if it doesn't, change the bag, or clear out any obstructions in the hose. I hope this helps! The turbo-tools work great.

    • @zowenso
      @zowenso Před 3 lety +1

      @@VacTech1 Thanks, I’ll give that a shot. Suction is good on the hose, so that’s not the issue and the bag isn’t close to full. When I hear the noise it sounds like it’s coming from the belt inside the tool or at least the sound is coming from that side. I’ll give it a check. Thanks a lot.

    Hello. I have a question. On this model what I wish was different is the tube that you put on the end of the hose. I wish it was longer for better reach under things. @@VacTech1 Hello again. So I got the vacuum today. Seems nice and a step up from the Tempo model that I was using. I did notice one difference and I was wondering if you could confirm this. On the Tempo I had been using, when I stepped on the pedal to release the handle to start cleaning, the handle went down about half way to the floor before the roller end lifted, making it easy to get over thresh holds and up onto carpets. The Max only goes right down to the floor, it doesn’t stop halfway so you can push down and lift the front over thresholds and carpets. Is that how this model is or does mine have an issue? Thanks again for the help.

      It takes Hoover type Y bags, which come in a variety of levels of quality and price ranges. Generic Type Y bags are very inexpensive.
