    I still am amazed at the difference in beach crowd sizes during mid-day vs early/late. From a weather standpoint, I can see that it does make sense, maybe even more so than how we normally do it. But I'm also curious if it could partly be due the mindset that leisure during the middle of the day is looked at as laziness. I noticed that when living in Japan and didn't know if it might also apply to Vietnam. Regardless, that evening holiday festival celebration sure brought out the crowd.

      I got into this mentality living in Thailand. Up early morning and do all your chores. If there is some task or diy that needs doing you can work on it till 11:00 or even 12:00 at the latest. Then its too hot, time for lunch and then head to the bedroom for an afternoon siesta and turn on the aircon. Relax, do online stuff, have a snooze if tired from the morning activities. Then about 4pm time to get up, do chores again, have dinner, watch the amazing sunset, etc.
