      As I noted above. Riverside needs full HD 1080p for live streaming for me to jump over to them.

    I don’t use a computer for my podcasts. I’m 100% Mobil. How about a video for doing this off an iPhone and iPad?

    Hi, is there a way to record multiple mirrorless cameras without having to use a switcher?

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  Před 2 měsíci

      Great question. It’s not something I personally have experience with, so I’m not sure if it’s possible without a switcher in Riverside. It might work in OBS, and since it’s a free tool, it might be worth starting there.

    Can you only have one guest showing at a time?

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  Před 4 měsíci

      Great question! In Riverside, you can record up to 8 guests as a time.

    Is it possible to later in a prerecorded intro and outtro with riverside only? I want to record my podcast outdoors with the phone- and I don’t want to pay for both descript and riverside.

      Hey Morgan! Great question. I tried doing a little more research, and I don’t think it’s currently possible to add clips together. (And I agree with you that using a pre-recording intro and outro is a great strategy.) So if you’re looking for an all-in-one tool to do recording on your phone and editing, I’d likely recommend Descript (witandwire.com/descript). If remote recording was a major piece of your podcast strategy, that’s where I think Riverside would become more crucial. I hope that helps!

    How do I add a jingle and how do I cut out and save a snippet separately in the edit mode? I was used to using podcasters app en now Im lost. I am using the free version.

    Hi Melissa, two questions: Can I share my second camera for a painting demonstration video with Riverside? And if it's live, can I do the same? In a previous video of yours, about the 5 types of videos, you didn't explain the tools for demo-type videos. In summary, I'm looking for an option to: 1. record my courses, edit, and upload them to Teachable, and 2. share them with my students live in class. I hope you can advise me. Thank you.

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  Před rokem +2

      Great question. Yes, in Riverside, you can connect a second camera from a second device. (For example, you could join the meeting from your phone and utilize that as a second camera for your demo video.) This would work whether you're broadcasting or just recording locally with your two devices. Another option to explore could be Ecamm (witandwire.com/ecamm).
      For sharing live in either tool though, you won't have the Zoom experience of students in a class who can chat with your or come on video. I think for a live workshop with a physical demo, you would most likely just want to use Zoom and use the same strategy of using a second device (like a smartphone) to dial into the call and have it film your painting. Last tip; make sure it's muted so it doesn't create echo. I hope that helps!

    Sadly riverside does not livestream in 1080p, only 720.. Thanks not a good thing..

      To clarify, you can save the files in up to 4K on any of their paid plans. If higher quality livestreaming is your goal, you might try witandwire.com/ecamm

    Is Text-Based Editing, and AI Transcription available on Pro Plan?

    • @witandwire

      Great question. They are both available on the Standard Plan, the lowest paid tier, but on the Pro plan, the AI transcription is unlimited rather than capped. You can learn more about both at witandwire.com/riverside
