Thank you. I've released 40 episodes but was about to give up. I logged in to Riverside today to push out one more episode - maybe a farewell episode- but after watching this video I'm re-energized and feel confident that I can keep doing them because I love them.
That's great to hear, and keep going! I would say aim for at least 50 and see how it's going then!
Thank you for the tips. Appreciate you.
Well Done Sir! The best part is that I will need to watch this vid at least 10 more times to take in all the value. Thank You!
Thank you! Watch as many times as you'd like 😉
My podcast, "Phat Love Talk", just had its 133rd episode and I'll be recording another one this week and I do not feel like I'm in the top 10% of podcasters, even if Podcasts for Spotify is posting it on multiple platforms for me. I do like these tips though. As someone who has a budget podcast, I think there are a lot of great tips in here to keep myself sharp. Great video.
Appreciate that, and keep going! Make sure you're sharing clips on all the platforms too!
Awesome tips in every category . Thank you !
You're welcome!
Hi, thanks for this helpful video! Could you say more about the tip to plan shareable moments? Any advice on how to do that?
Your'e welcome! By shareable moments, I mean when you know a topic is trending or may perform well on social media, pre-plan a 30-45 second monologue (or dialogue) about it that encapsulates the most interesting info. Maybe at the beginning of a topic you run down the lights, or summarize it at the end of the segment, then use that clip on social!
Thank you for the information 🙏 Very useful 👍
Glad it helped!
Great tips! ✅
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it 🙏
Awesome
Starting a podcast seems less scary with a clear plan. It's great to know I don't have to spend lots of money to begin. Learning that cheap USB mics work well was comforting. Now, I'm excited to dig deep into my interests to discover my unique topic.
Great to hear, and it doesn't take a lot to get started! Go for it!
This was a masterclass
Glad it was helpful!
Hi have already launch my podcast on another podcast editor, can I switch to Spotify x riverside with my RSS feeds? Do my stats will go back to Zero?
I love those audio panels on your wall. Where can I find those or something similar?
Those are from Gik Acoustics here! www.gikacoustics.com/ref/287/
Does the linked mic arm work with the Audio technica microphone? Are there other mic arm recommendations for different budget levels
Yes, it can work with multiple mounting options. Here's a cheaper arm but keep in mind they may squeak or make other noises depending on build quality: a.co/d/6ACwFei
Because you you, I’m making an extra $300 a month through Apple Subscriptions. I watched your video multiple times when getting it set up.
That's amazing! So glad they're working out for you!
Please, how to put overlays like the ones with the tip numbers? How do you split the screen in 1/2 with text in black and white?
Those were all done in Final Cut, and those animations are plugins from MotionVFX!
Do you recommend that if you have a podcast you should also have a website?
A website is helpful, especially for sharing additional content, linking show notes, and more. Yes, we would suggest that, but many podcast hosts offer a website as part of the plan! transistor.fm and Buzzsprout.com both give you a website with your hosting.
Thank you for this video. I am a new podcaster and we are focused on sharing the importance of farmers in the discussion of food. amplifying farmer voice. I hope you can check it out sometime for critique to improve. Again thank you. I will watch this again.
That sounds fascinating! Let us know the name of the show when it's live!
@@Riversidefm the show is On the Ground with Farmer AD and we have 2 episodes loaded so far. More in production.
Does Riverside record without a wifi connection? I recently recorded a podcast and frustratingly lost 15 minutes when the Spotify nascent recording tool failed to process. Not really sure why it happened, but want to avoid in the future.
You do need Internet to upload the video and audio files to the cloud. If you lose internet during a recording, you can still stop, then visit Riverside.fm/upload once you have internet again to finish the upload process.
Was this done with Riverside?
I recorded this video on a mirrorless camera and edited in Final Cut.
"I'm curious about microphones. We typically rely on lavalier microphones when recording on location. Would it also be beneficial to use them in the studio for increased freedom of movement?"
You can use in-studio as well, but if subjects are seated a shotgun mic would do well too.
Another good tip: don't talk too quickly.
Sorry, was trying to fit in 50 podcast tips 😅
He is giving 50 tips in 15 min 🙄 thank him instead
@@manmayarai2185 Is that a threat?
But that is one of the hardest skills to learn
I thought it was great and wondering how I can speed up my own pace in Riverside? I have a tendency to be a slower thinker but I think it's way too slow for my podcast!
