Hollywood did not stop castng her. She just quit acting, because unlike you she would rather do something fullfilling and isn't in desperate need of attention.

I remember Portia de Rossi from Sirens and her Ally McBeal days. she's a gorgeous woman and quite a good actress... I was always surprised that she didn't become a much bigger star.
She retired from acting 3 years ago. It's a simple as that.

I saw Sirens in the theatre and believed she was an experienced Australian actress who would breakout soon and big in America.
She opted to stop acting to practice on her Art 🖼, General Republic, upon which she was the founder and CEO!
They don't give her credit here. I know a little about her.. enough to know how damn talented she always has been, and perhaps you do need more than a single brain cell to click what happened, where and because of who. That's not my problem. She is beautifully gracious, generous, and hadn't been studying law for four years when Sirens was cast because she wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. The three of them were Australian aristocracy.
