During 1991 Gulf War, some US Army Engineer, Air Force Security Personnel and National Guard units still wore WW2 era M1 Helmets. Even in the late 2000s, M1 Helmets were still issue to the small headed males and females in the US Air Force Security Personnel until they were replaced by the Enhanced Combat Helmet later in the 2010s. Currently, M1 Helmet were still worn for recruit training purpose in some countries such as Republic of China and Malaysia.
the reason why US Marines stamp their Branch insignia is that they love to let people know that they're the Marines.
They even put their Branch insignia on their current patterns, gear, and their combat boots
kinda lol, but they also just don’t add anything signifying they’re marines or apart of the us while wearing their gear, unlike the army with their division and flag. only under all the gear do you see that they’re marines.
Hello comrade! Good video, this was one of the most popular camo patterns around the world, specially in the 90s when mostly all countries in Latin America adopt it
Awesome load out and information 🤙🏽
Love it mate.
Very informative, great work!
Great video man.
Greetings from Tucson, Arizona.
Thank You my friend. Arizona is amazing State. 🤝
I was 2 years old during this operation 😄
Excellent video ! …I’ve been a WW2 German reenactor for over 25 years and I’ve never had a huge interest in any Militaria beyond that time, but you make every “modern” load out from every country you showcase, extremely interesting.
Сенкс мэн, гуд жаб. Ит воз со информатив 😉
M 56 yokes were H style. Better weight distribution. And canvas breaks in over time and nylon does not. The difference may be suggestive, but that's up to the user to determine. Also, the Ranger mod was in use but as usual, not official or officially approved.
Thanks for the like. Do you know the Ranger mods?
Hello, I managed to purchase a PASGT helmet with contract February 1983 specifying for the Op. Urgent Fury.. it wasn't easy at all.. I’ll like have some information on helmet camo. I saw in the photos that some soldiers use on the PASGT helmet only the woodland camo cover + cat eyes and that's it while others was putting nets on the top of there helmets taken from cover material such as jeeps or pieces of attigleria. in addition they used to weave pieces of cloth. Can you tell me what material they used? so for example in Panama they used pieces of old woodland uniforms. while for Urgent Fury it seems that they used pieces of sandbags or those ribbons that paratroopers used during D-Day woven into the nets on the M1C.
Thanks
Sorry, I don’t know what kind of close was used.
This is probably too late but it was old BDUs and that material potato bags are made out of, I forgot the name.
@@IsraelGovermentOfficial The potato bag fabric is Hessian fabric, also known as burlap in American English.
The ragheads, forget their actual division or whatever. They used pieces of torn up M81 BDUs but it wasn't common enough for most people to concern themselves with unless you're going for it specifically
do you have any info about the Pavn soldiers with the m56 east german helmet?
Saw few pictures of it in use
Can you make a video of the counterpart of this conflict? I would be nice to know what did the Grenada Armed forces used to wear
No
👍
Ive also seen in some footage that some soldiers use olive fatigues probably the OG-507s but I really dont know, could someone confirm this?
How did you get the wrinkles out of the uniforms? I can’t get them out of mine.
Iron and patience.
@@RedIvanAirsoftEng Thanks.
Did the 82nd parachute into grenada??
Yes they did.
@ohioankid8617 I had a hard time finding documentation on it was only able to find the 75th rangers 1st and 2nd battalion that jumped into the air field on c-130s
They also used kevlar helmets witch was more common to see used by the marines
During Grenada most if not all marines wore M1, only US army troops had Kevlar PSGT.
@@RedIvanAirsoftEng ya I was yapping about Panama In Grenada they used an updated version of the M1
Usmc never used m1c helmets...
Not sure about Grenada Grenada specifically ( I am using M1c because I already have the helmet) but in Vietnam there are pictures of marines using m1c.
When the world reanacted we know we are truly doomed
In the English language, when saying the year 1991 you don't say Nineteen Ninety First, that is not correct. The correct way is to say Nineteen Ninety One
Thank You.
@@RedIvanAirsoftEng You're welcome. Same thing applies for the other numbers, you say Nineteen Ninety Two, Nineteen Ninety Three etc....
@@alexhidell8022 practice makes perfect. I appreciate your corrections. Will try to follow your advice in the next video. 🤝
