Personally like the concept of the LBE/ Body armor vest as separate items even in 2024. Because there is a time when you need a body armor only, the LBE only or both at the same time. And Russian LBEs 6sh112 and 117 are the most comfortable I have ever tried. The only thing was missing on the old body armor vest in my opinion was molle, but they added molle to 6b45 body armor vest.

@@RedIvanAirsoftEng i only once used non soft body armor with LBE and i found it to be an unstable combo after crawling on my belly, the textile on textile gave room for a lot of side to side shifting because of my mags (double AK pouches on the front) however it was not a russian gear combo and i might have not tightened it properly i just used what was given, i just tried to go easy on the belt & LBE straps because if you make them too tight it will cut you in the scrotum if you go into a kneeling shooting position, especially with the older style woodland pants we got issued😅 I will try to get my hands on that 6b45 with molle, did not know they had a version with it thank you. As i get older sovjet vests & LBE look really attractive with some basic plate carrier under it, people often forget how much one can overheat in combat just by running & stress, they will never get me into a flak jacket + you cant beat russian retro looks with some sovjet era flares, Kino instantly starts playing when equipped👍
