      Stock besser als FCX24 Power Wagon stock ;-)

    Another great video. MCCT has been on 🔥🔥these past couple of months!!!
    The K5 body is heavy for the Fcx24 chassis and the bumpers get stuck on everything. I’ve been running mine without the body (put it back on for the shelf) and just putting a piece of foam on top to protect the electronics when it falls. Have only needed to add better wheels and tires and it performs very well. Of course any truck will perform better without the body, but the ground clearance of the portals and the low speed control of the esc make the Fcx24 exceptional imo. Too bad FMS doesn’t offer a lightweight Lexan, competition style body for the Fcx series.

      Lemur ;-)

      @JT-6s Před 7 měsíci

      @@donaldsneffe Lol, true the Lemur has a “competition” look, but it also appears unnecessarily heavy for a micro crawler chassis. And in stock form the giant tires make for even worse CG. I guess we’ll all find out on MCCT 😂

      @@JT-6s Did already test and film it - 36.68 points ;-) ... actually modifying the Lemur (longer links, etc.), then will do a MCCT Lemur stock vs. mod.
      More hope on a Tarantula with FCX18 parts...

    That heavy body and the rear bumper sure don't do those any favors. It looks pretty good though, even if the proportions seem a bit off. Definitely a good platform, those FCX24s. I think I need to get me one, eventually. It will be interesting to see how the new Unimog does in your test. I'm thinking it will do quite a bit worse than the K5, but look better doing it.
    I received my Hobby Plus T-Hunter kit from Fair RC (seckilling bargain) a little while ago, that I have to build, and will try to install one of those FCX24 gearboxes and motors in there, as I have one lying around here somewhere. Or maybe go brushless with some Furitek I haven't gotten around to using yet. :D

      It was also a big surprise for me. In stock form it performed better than the FCX24 Power Wagon in stock form, never would have thought this.
      Biggest drawback: Going down (but the heavy front on the other side makes it very capable in climbing the hills, won't tip over easily).
      Unimog? I ordered two (did not yet arrive), will make a similar MCCT episode with stock Unimog and upgraded (only wheels, maybe shocks, some links).
      I did already test the Unimog in "Mogrich form" (episode 15), and this was also a big, big surprise. It could climb all (!!!) obstacles. But even worse in "down" than the K5.
      Unimog MCCT will probably be up in two weeks or so (and also Lemur - stock vs. upgraded).
      Too many new models out there, wish, they would slow down a bit and only release one or two a year...

    Nice video👍.May I ask, can I use the ax-4 transmitter from a scx24 on a 1:10 scale?

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thank you. No - not with the 3-in-1 unit, it is not strong enough. There are 3 different SCX24 transmitters, the newest one (coming with the new Power Wagon) you can maybe use with a different receiver (I do not have it), the elder ones not.

      @@donaldsneffe But I am referring only to the transmitter, and place the esc on another channel?

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@alvaroloyola3342 OK, the "v1" electronics and v3 electronics have a ch2 out, so you could use it. "V2" (blue) electronics (Gladiator, Bronco and the new version of the Jeep) not.

      Thanks for the answers. I'm putting together a 1:10 based on a lot of recycled parts. And I just had 2 bad SCX24 v1 receivers but I remembered that I could connect the ESC to channel 2 and it worked. I don't have a multimeter to measure but the servo seems to work without problems and the motor too. greetings
