Marques better buy those guys separate microphones or they finna unionise 😂
dudes out here like conjoined twins
- $8000 cameras
- $1000 cans for everyone
- Do the audio guys at the back need mics?
i think they just keep doing this as a joke tho
Control😂 if he does, they will be talking 95℅ of the time and he knows it🤣

"Some companies are just getting started with AI, but here at Google, we've already evolved from it."
But we can’t figure out how to launch it, and besides, we’re still trying to track you.
@@ncrider2000 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And Apple haven’t left the starting line yet when it comes to AI….
🤣
I expect this is some kind of joke.
i don’t even care if they piggyback off Google; siri needs a 100% redo.
Curveball would be Apple doesn’t even use the words “AI”. Just how they like to use their own marketing terms. Like how it’s not called a fingerprint scanner on iPhone it’s called “Touch ID”. It’s not an OLED HDR display, it’s called “Super Retina XDR”. My bet they don’t call it AI, they call it like “Apple Mind” or something like that lol
100%. Without a doubt. I'd be willing to bet the word "Magic" is in there lol
That gives them authenticity which others will copy like FACE RECOGNITION bla bla
They’ll just name the features:
“Enhanced Siri”
“Xcode assistant”
“Summarizations”
Then they’ll say that they’re “powered by machine learning/deep learning/LLMs” and move on
Super Retina is tested in color accurcacy od delta e of 1. Othe OLED HDR are just high dynamic range but high delta e so not color accurate
..the thing is.. in the may 7th event they said ai... quite a lot, even when they didn't present anything about ai yet..
If yall believe it’s all about Craig like this comment.
I hope hes the next CEO. Hes perfect!
Apple's AI will be called Craig how tf did we not see this coming?
3:25 The keyboard is worse especially when you use two or more languages. If I forget to switch from English to the other language that I’m typing, it will add words to the English vocabulary or suggestion list from the other language. And for many times when I’m typing in English, it suggests me words from the other language. The second annoying thing (I don’t know if it’s related to the keyboard), is when you try to edit a text, select words or phrases, or just to move the dash wherever you need, it just misses and the dash moves wherever probably Apple thinks is good for you and not where you want it to be.
I have been very annoyed by trying to select words and move the dash on my iphone. I definitely think its gotten worse somehow.
this is only a problem for languages that use the same alphabets (so mostly euro-centric languages)
@@Archchill a huge amount of people speak these languages though

My bet: Sundar Pichai joins Tim Cook on stage to announce the collab. The pitch deck itself will show just the Gemini branding but verbally Cook will say Google. If I'm wrong, round of coffees on me for the Waveform team.
I was mid 6 mile run when I found out that Gemini can't play songs from YTM. Why would they even release Gemini as a replacement to Assistant when it can't even do the basics?
Still in development
It couldn't even set alarms like Google assistant when it came out. It's going to improve, but yeah it's definitely not the best version of AI that we will see.
Wasn’t it announced that they have a deal with Anthropic too? My guess is Siri does local AI for secure things and then you pick your LLM for external queries. During setup, pick Gemini, Anthropic, OpenAI etc…
It bothers me every time, why the other two guys back there don't have separate mics , i mean they have all the resources….
I read a comment a few episodes back, and someone said something like the software or hardware they use limits them to 4 mics.
The interface they use has 4 mic inputs. I guess they could change this interface but they haven’t for whatever reason
@@GunzyHD they could also split the mic signal as long as they’re using the same mic. Then the gain shouldn’t change and that would work well.
It’s looks like some kind of hierarchy. If intended or not - it triggers me hard. Also that there are no women voices in these rounds.
It's intended they are the producers they don't want to be really involved in it much just once on the blue moon remember Marcus can easily get the mic it's a no-brainer think about it why would they do it
Crazy Frog is a Swedish CGI-animated character and Eurodance musician created in 2003 by actor and playwright Erik Wernquist.
I think why Google launches the A series phone at a later date is because the original Pixel A series phone (Pixel 3 A) was launched after the Pixel 3 and 3 XL (This is probably because they came up with the 3 A after they already were working on the the 3 so it ended up get launched later) and Google just decided to continue launching the A series at the same time every year.
the guy just described how Apple works in a single simple phrase:
2:29 "all of the new features have been out already, and they waited until it was definitely popular, polished the hell out of it, and popped it out"
It has been like that for years and everyone knows that! And I would even add that Apple most of times makes a feature popular. They can say whatever they want, that a certain feature came centuries ago in the other OS, but when it comes polished and useful in iOS, it is always a hit, and other brands follow.
Apple innovates tbh , you can’t disagree that Apple apps and whole phone works 10x better than any other phone
That’s why I left Apple after owning them all but one since 4S. I’m too impatient and I was tired of waiting for cool new features that everyone else had for years.
@@christianbearden28I see it differently. iPhones are simple to use, extremely reliable for all the things I need, which it shouldn’t be much on a phone. I’m too busy in real life to care for all those features. When they come they’re welcomed but it doesn’t affect me in any way. I just love the simplicity and how smooth the ecosystem is. If I was to really need something so badly, it would probably be a program that probably only a desktop would have.
@@Tetrathegod Yes I can. It definitely does not work "10x better" than any other flagship phone with practically the same specs and os layout
@@dapivimuyou can remove the word iPhone from this and replace it with dozens of phones and it would still make sense. Smart ones have existed for decades so the bare minimum just doesn’t cut it anymore.
"An Incredible amount of things that people are branding as AI now were just machine learning thats been happening for a long time". ok! i'm finishing this video to the end🔥 great timing😂😂😂
Solid discussion!
On Apple and their usage of the term AI - I remembered Steve Jobs corrected Walt Mossberg, in an All Things Digital conference (D8), that Siri isn’t a search company rather an AI company. Then, there was a brief moment of pause.
Prior, Walt kept classifying Siri as a search company - and Steve kept trying to correct him 30 minutes into the sit-down.
I think when talking about certain features , they will say something along the lines of “and we partnered with Google to bring you (X feature)”.
Yea, they definitely could do that and call it something else like what they did with dynamic island 😂
It's not really possible/feasible to use Gemini locally. You probably wouldn't even be able to run mistral or gemma with 7b parameters on an A17 or snapdragon 8 gen 3 chip (considering max ram of 8gb and 12gb respectively anyway).
Remember that Apple hired ex-Google AI scientist and ex-Google chief of search and artificial intelligence👀👀
2:25 that's a good way to look at it, they wait to make sure a piece of technology isn't just a passing trend
I think Apple will release a private and secure personal assistant AI (iPA) that lives on device to handle personal tasks, but utilizes Gemini on the backend for larger context questions/info/work requests. iPA requests to Gemini will be anonymous. Personal data stays on device and is managed and secured by iPA.
Sounds possible and ideal imo, if apple truly has nothing of their own worth using.
They wouldnt call it IPA as that's the name of the File system that apps run off of
They sell ipas to you on their app store.
I think they’ll revamp Google app for iPhone and introduce utilities through that back door. Think iMessage games type of optional integration… or new menu options under the share feature
circle to search is awesome
The "AI Type R" bit caught me off guard and I loved it 😂😂
Maybe a pixel tablet with a desktop UI?
This would be perfect
yeah
THIS!!!!
please do a video about how many assistants/chatting services that google created and how much they spend for each?
The keyboard dictate button gets replaced by a Siri button where you prompts Siri to write something or make a picture into any text box
Please talk about the Reddit AMA with the Google Home staff!
Lmao the Crazy Frog outro 😆
I am loving the bet am now looking forward to the google IO AND wwdc 😅
It's really crazy how quickly AI develops now.
Just like renewable energy and recycle products and electronics is good once the wheel start turning Man we're going to get some crazy stuff for example like electric cars The range going to just get longer and longer example like 2000 mi on a single charge lite battery
why do the two guys only have one mic?
What was that at the end!? 😂🤣
Do you think apple will bring AI also to older devices or gatekeep it to new devices, like they did with the 24MP pictures and the 15 pro, although the 14p also had a 48MP sensor?
They could implement it similar to how they implemented on device Siri a few years ago where they were generous with older device support with the iPhone XS getting on device Siri even though the iPhone 12 was out at the time. It’s all going to depend on the neural engine cores in the A chip. They’ve been increasing the neural engine’s power each generation so it’ll likely depend on how much power the AI requires, this does mean if a ton of AI features are announced then it’d likely end up being on a feature by feature basis with potentially the most powerful AI tools being restricted to the iPhone 15 pro lineup as they got a big boost to their neural cores last year.
Bro I'm glad I gave Google my info come Christmas time and peoples birthdays everyone is "WOW" that's great gift.
I’m so pleased you have an age/idea mentality difference in the group ..
I’d love a Samsung dex like feature with the iPhone/ipad
For AI I can see finder/files app, Siri and spotlight search will get the biggest overhaul
Not necessarily for ios/ipados but I can see AI integration into Xcode which could assist developers.
What I would love to see is a debug ai that would automatically test builds with potential optimizations to try and optimize apps for developers. Just leave the system running for like 24 hours and it’ll build a list of potential improvements that developers can add to test themselves for unintended bugs that may popup.
3:45 Meanwhile Word's Co-Pilot be like "I'm write your whole book for you with suggestion alone."
We need to talk about those Tesla bots in your studio for that last short you posted.. more on that please.
He later mentioned that was some VFX magic for 1st April
it would be nice to have a Pixel Tablet with pro apps , just like the Ipad.
3:29 I agree with you. The keyboard is really bad now ever since they made the latest changes to predictive text. I have to correct the autocorrect with much more frequency than before. Also, the recommendations are horrible.
Lol, they don't think apple collects peoples data.
They do. They just don’t sell it or share it
5:18 correct--only on-device.
If they actually allow us to move icons and widgets anywhere we want, my mind will be blown
For AI - Maybe they don't mention Google exactly, but give you the option to select the LLM which powers Siri? Like you select the default search provider. You can switch between Gemini, OpenAI, etc. as you want.
No way Apple allows that kind of freedom
And I just used both Siri and Google Gemini and I said how far away is June 10 , only one that responded was Siri
5:09 yes and no. The Base model is trained on a data set of common words however the NPU learns what you type and will suggest corrections based on that. And Apple will actually create an automation supports and use differential privacy to extract the most common aggregated words used without association to users and update the model.
@mkbhd will you be around during Google I/O this year?
The comments about the need to compromise privacy in order to train models do not take into consideration technologies that can already do this. Eg Federated Learning.
Love the Mangy Moose hat. Jackson Hole!
What if Siri is a Hybrid AI, on device for most common and cloud (with your permition to connect to your own OpenAi or Gemini account)
It isn't necessary for an assistant to know everything about you. It might be prudent reveal as much as one knows so that the assistant can supply the most relevant reply.
The fact that at Google I/O they actually did their own counter of how many times they said AI (it was 120)
The new Ballmer moment; after Developers ! Developers ! Developers! AI! AI! AI!
All the comments about the other two guys only having one mic. I feel like they're mostly just producing for starters. The Rodecast Pro does only have 4 inputs. They could use another mixer before running into that one but that overcomplicates it when they don't talk much anyway. It's fine. What's the big deal?
Spell check text prediction is awful in iOS. I just want feature in Siri settings to turn off whatever that magic feature is that takes my dictated text from being 100% accurate to being 35% inaccurate and at the moment you go to push send. Wanna turn off whatever that crap is in iOS.
5:03 LMAOOOO
Marques' face at 21:10 😆😆
I don’t think Gemini is going to be implemented by Apple however assuming it is I feel like they have to mention it’s powered by Gemini to prevent a potential PR disaster where a bunch of media companies go “oh look google’s taking your data and Apple is in on it” and it’d likely be a opt in system that shows up during setup.
A big reason I don’t think Apple would use Gemini is it would likely be added to their current anti trust case as the two main os players are working together and preventing third party AI’s from being used instead of Siri/Gemini and that seems like too much of a risk for Apple, they’re already getting a ton of flack for their search engine deal they’d be very hesitant expanding the deal with deep integration into the OS.
if apple don’t go ahead with Gemini they don’t have much in their basket, it will be again an old iphone packaged as 16.
I'm crossing my fingers for a big Siri revamp that's powered by Gemini, with deep system hooks and a much improved siri dev api to allow devs to feed their app data into siri to take advantage of that.
I would also bet that they won't mention Gemini, or the google partnership once. At best that's going to be a footnote on some obscure documentation page, but maybe not even there.
But the question is if Gemini can run on device? Because while Siri is significantly more limited, it runs all on device. On device Siri was a real reason I considered upgrading my ultra to the ultra 2 because I use Siri enough and with the Apple Watch series 8(and original ultra) and older it’s still all done in the cloud causing delays or not functioning at all. For me at least requiring the cloud again to power Siri would be a downgrade.
There is a Gemini Variant that can run on device (probably not on a watch though). My guess is that on-device siri features will remain largely unchanged (and still work with the old tech), and that we will instead see additional features that require internet access and those will be powered by Gemini. But all of it will be branded under the Siri umbrella term.
That's just a guess though. I think it'd make sense based on the amount of time they had to build features on top of Gemini, but you know.. we'll see.
Jobs tweeted? Amazing.
Knowing apple and their tendency for naming things, I bet they will come up with a special name for their own AI model, something like Gemini but different, with the apple spin on it, maybe. 😅

Apple better announce RCS support at WWDC!
They have already announced it you’re late…Months late
@@Madeintheshade65 yeah I'm aware they announced it months ago. I'm saying they better announce when it's being implemented, I assume it will be implemented with iOS18.
Welcome iUser...... The future is now 🤯
I hear they'll have the internet on computers soon too 🤣
Since moving to an iPhone from Samsung last year, I’ve noticed that my CZcams recommendations more often have to do with something I looked at on my browser in Mac and also in my other devices.
All this despite using DDG and regularly erasing browser data and using multiple browsers. All because I moved to iPhone.
So I’m incredibly skeptical of Apple’s commitment to privacy because before moving from Android, my recommendations were rarely that relevant to what I was looking at elsewhere
Agreed predictive typing has been changed and is a lot worse, it will improve slightly in the new version when it comes out of beta if it hasn’t already. Absolutely sucks still though!
Totally agree that autocorrect on iPhone has got worse.
Saint Internet.
But like can't we have the mkbhd x jay z tech meeting for the tech skyscraper and or amusement tech park.

Samsung has Gemini AI in their features. Did they talk about Gemini? NO.
The same way apple won't mention google
It’s time for Apple to stop being late to the party I mean they show up being one of best dressed at the party but what’s the use of being the best dressed when you get there the party is almost over
apple shows up to the party to promote the cooler afterparty lol
They show up with a sash saying "anything they can do we can do later"😂
Didn't they tried to make self driving car and failed hard? Google has the best self driving technology and Tesla has one of the best EV. All these things only apply for things like phone or computer or early phones. Apple can't make as complex things as Google.
@@violety_indigo52 a car is far to complex for a phone company....oh wait didn't Xiaomi recently release and EV 🤔🤣
@@Spoonfed78 I said self driving car. Self driving.
hmm...Google now asks you on the phone if they should make Gemini the default assistant. So on my phone now assistant is Gemini...or Gemini powered..
I’d be happy if they decide to make Siri not useless and work offline. I work underground where I don’t always have cell service since we have 4/5G in only some places.
I can’t even make a reminder or timer on my watch because Siri is useless.

Ai is a fancy way of saying machine learning, and machine learning is just a fancy way of saying statistics algorithms and patterns
I would like Apple to use the data I created myself, such as the shopping lists, social media comments, the documents I saved to the hard drives, and most importantly, my emails.
Get those guys their own mic now, come on lol
I just hope they fix the lag in the keyboard when you have 2 languages in the autocorrect. I know it does not affect the majority of iPhone users since they are in North America, but for European people who use more than one language in their daily life, it's damn frustrating if the keyboard freezes while you are typing. There are thousands of complaints on Apple forums so far and nothing happened.
It's not about the amount of data anymore, it's the quality
I recognised Crazy Frog 3 seconds in
@MKBHD correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Safari by design built on a Google platform? doesn't Google pay Apple billions each year so that Apple doesn't built their own web browser? If this partnership is technically correct doesn't Apple then already have access to all the knowledge built by Google? Apple would have to train their AI on that data if they haven't already but they wouldn't need to start from the bottom.
Potential things to think about for AI with Apple:
- Siri predicting what you want to listen to. No need for a shortcut to read the news, tell you your time for first meeting and travel time, then read the news and open a podcast. Siri already knows. And adapts it by day of the week.
- Homepods in the house know what to play by time of day, who is home and where they are (your music follows you around the house), volume levels by person, etc.
- Same for TV - auto tune to the channel/show per user.
- easy setup of meetings (already does some of this)
- logs the day in journal
- suggestions based on location, who is with me, my texts and emails for the day, etc.
Siri will already make suggestions based on things like Yelp searches, then pulling up maps.
I think (and kinda hope) that Apple is going big on gaming and all game dev support at WWDC this year
Imagine Apple replaced the word 'AI' with 'Magic' 💀
iMagic 😂😂😂😂
Well i'm really starting to wonder now. Because i'll be honest. I've been using gemini quite a lot as of late.
Ima be honest, I don’t want them to spend more than 10 minutes on Vision OS. Most people don’t have that yet and won’t get it. Focus on the things people have
You can be sure, whatever they say. Everything from iPhone16 onwards will have something, current models won't get fully. iPhone 16 for them is the start of a new start to get the iPhone steamroll going again. People are stuck on their iPhones because they made em to good and have no reason to switch. They have the army of clients and just need a reason to buy something new.
I am hoping Google enables desktop mode on Pixel phones and pushes it out of beta. I hope they don't kill Assistant features because Gemini features are sorely lacking.
I completely agree on the keyboard getting worse
MAYBE apple would introduce a policy that they could allow users to chose to share their data with their new AI or not?
You be like we use your product but we dont want anybody to know 😂
4:42 Atradies comes from Greek mythology before Dune
I think the term AI is just a phase. Like HD was. I remember when our local news intro'd "Now in HD". You used to have to search HDTV, now 1080p is the standard with 4k edging nearer. Soon AI will be a part of everything, the question will be, which "HD AI" do you want. 1080p, 4k, 8k....10K?!!! Just think about someone filming something now that's not at least 60fps 1080p, it almost doesn't exist. 2-3 years from now, the hurry to use "AI" in your marketing will be as saying your video is shot in HD.
And I think apple llm will be built in and you can add Gemini as a fallback or as extra knowledge and add more down the line
😂
@@charlesgoldt7943 🤣
no way you guys made a reference to the crazy frog
So Apple has been partnering with Google for a long time with way more than just search. People forget that Apple Maps used to be powered by Google. That whole thing about having the Google brand labeled on Apple Maps and Google Map features available on Android but not on iOS is what got Scott Forstall fired. If Apple does put AI in iOS and it is powered by Gemini I think Apple will probably say something about partnering with Google to do it in WWDC. I don’t know if Steve Jobs would have said it, but Tim is a different guy.
Man do I miss Google Now
Ok you guys have to remember it’s Apple. You’re going to hear something like “Computational Intelligence “.
