I love a good thrift. I'd have a field day with all those books! The cobalt glass bowl caught my attention, and I like the knives and swords, as well. :) Thanks for sharing such a unique and interesting place.

I also love visiting these kinds of places, but unfortunately due to my travel lifestyle I try to avoid accumulating things until I settle down.
I think I should rent a storage somewhere as I do come across a lot of things I like, but avoid buying them.
Where would I store a grenade??? But it is something I would have definitely bought as a cool paper weight for my desk.

Loved your video, very interesting place to spend a couple three hours checking the ww2 memorabilia, live that stuff. And of course meet the Latvia women, in the summer for sure. Can't stand frickin Snow. I guess I'm spoiled for living in Florida.

Very sadly this market is being shutdown. Extremely sad. The district is worth a visit eitherway, and and if you decide to visit eitherway, greetings from Marijn to Vasily with the military shop in the back of the market (same shop as in video).

Hi Oliver... sadly, around 90% of the market as seen in this video has now been removed.
Why the authorities decided to 'cleanse' it is a mystery to me, but it's gone. Only a few stalls remain and they're seriously overpriced and focused on ripping off tourists.
