    Not kidding. This video alone helped me to decide that duster is worth to be my next car, which will be a used economical, reliable, comfortable and relatively light little vehicle that can actually do a bit of off- roading. I live in a countryside so the differential and suspension modification on this great platform will make it shine off- road and I am sure will also improve on- road performance in terms of crnering stability and overall traction without none of the drawbacks on fuel economy if its an autolockind diff and the vehicle remains super economical by maintaining its 2wd mode. Thank you thank you and thank you for your professionalism!!!

    Mi-ar fi placut mai mult clipul daca nu vedeam in fiecare groapa cate o sticla de bere... care puteati sa le adunati in loc sa le spargeti. In rest foarte cool. Imi place dusterul.

    The example of the test is great. You can see where it gets in use. I have some questions:
    - I hear a metalic sound (3:30) and more. It it the diff locking? Does it affect something?
    - Do the mods affect warranty? Can a disclaimer be put on it, if something on rear axel breaks - no waranty, but the rest (engine, gearbox, electric etc) still be covered?
    I see red plates, what is final total cost (approx.)?

      The sound is caused by the traction control with the torque biasing of the diff

    Buenas, muy buen video. Tengo una consulta, a ver si alguien me podria decir si se puede o no.
    Yo tengo un Duster del 2019 faros halógenos, ¿se le podría quitar y poner los faros led del Duster 2021? Ya que he averiguado que son exactamente iguales, solo cambia lo de dentro. La instalación o la centralita del 2019 aguantaria los leds.

    i use a (torsen-style) helical differential in my jeep. i love it. huge difference to open diff. BUT it ist NOT a locking differential at all. it is a torque-distribution-device. extreme off-road usually does require a locking diff. for mild off-roading the torsen/helical is maybe the better choice.

      you can easily turn the torsen into a pure locking diff. just pull on the hand break a little bit and it will lock up the rear axel

      @@lookingforthemeaning it won't lock up 100%. i have to pull the handbrake very much sometimes. the good old AMC 4.0 still gives enough power to overrun the brake, but sometimes (rarely) it is just not enough 'lock'.

      the use of handbrake caused my axle tubes to break lose from the diff housing. i avoid pulling the handbrake that much from now on. i will go with a spartan in front for compensation. might be less torture on the mechanical parts.

      @@lucyyanlionte Asa am gasit recomandat pe youtube acum cateva zile, a pus cineva "diferential din rusia" , un tip cu duster de HD si zicea ca trebuie cateva schimburi facute din 6 in 6 luni + a sesizat ceva uzura la planetare pe spate, nu stiu exact cum s-a exprimat. Daca gasesc, o sa revin. Ma tot interesez, deoarece as vrea sa trec la un duster 4x4, dar am si alti candidati in bugetul de 7k euro si nu prea stiu ce alegere sa fac :)

      @@mangreek9975 într-adevăr , la planetarele spate s-a modificat unghiul, e posibil sa fie uzura mai mare in timp.

    Salut! Ce motorizare ati alege in varianta 4x4? As vrea sa iau una in primavara insa sunt in dilema in privinta problemelor de la addblue si benzinarul tce, care are si el dezavantajul consumului cu cca. 2l in plus. Ar fi masina de uz zilnic, oras+munte+drumuri extraurbane.

      @@DusterCoolTravels deci nu vine din fabrica cu Torsen, ci tot cu Haldex. ai idee cat costa trecerea de la Haldex la Torsen? e mai ok decat haldexul, stiu de la passat. adica b5.5 are torsen si merge oriunde si b6 are haldex care se strica des.

    I'm Sorry but I don't understand why you refer about a torsen, then an haldex in the thumb. And an autolock. Can you explain a Better way? Duster doesn't feature neither a torsen nor an haldex... And the autolock Is obtained by locking the freeweeling wheel by mean the use of the brake...
    How did you do this? (Sorry for my english)

    1. Cum de au incaput anvelope de 225/70/16 pe noul duster facelift? Incap fara sa atingă?
    2. Le ai trecut in certificat?
    3. Montarea autoblocantului nu anulează garanția masinii?

      Îți răspund eu în locul lui :
      1. Nu încap fără să atingă. Trebuie făcut bricolaj în zona pasajelor - îndoit o tablă, împins cu flacăra carenajul etc.
      2. Mai mult ca sigur nu.
      3. Clar că da

      1. Au fost modificate carenajele si nu atinge nimic
      2. Nu le am in certificat, le folosesc doar cand ies pe off-road sau in afara drumurilor publice
      3. Nu cred ca ar putea fi anulata intreaga garantie a masinii... poate doar ce tine de grup

    As fi curios de un versus la faruri. Se simte diferenta trecerii la LED pe faza scurta?
    Blocheaza repede diferentialul roata care patineaza pe spate

      the facelift duster has the torsen diff but it’s not from the factory. The owner installed it after he bought the duster. There is no difference on the rear differential between the facelift and the first model of the second generation. Cheers

      Stage 1 e suficient să mai crești puterea motorului și forța de cuplu. Fără impact negativ pe motor, dacă e făcut cum trebuie.

    you canot give a realistic test if the two vehicles have different tyre makes, size tread pattern, conpounds, ect. this test is pointless.

      @@DusterCoolTravels Mersi ! si inca niste intrebari: e torsen pe ambele punti,si mai are al 3-lea diferential la mijloc,are diferential spate blocabil la buton,si ce ai prezentat e torsen din fabrica sau e modificata?Eu am un suzuki ignis si nu are diferential de mijloc si nici un fel de buton de cuplare se vede doar ca mai are o cutie de transfer si atit !

    I don’t see so much difference; other duster has also bigger tires!
    Torsen differential when you have a wheel not touching the ground (in the air) is useless (unless you apply a little bit of handbrake). It helps a lot and makes difference only in velocity where all tires are in contact with ground. For this reason it’s a type of differential used mainly for road and sport vehicles

      It would be awesome to see comparisson while both dusters have the same type of tires...it makes a huge diffrence,therefore more realistic...nevertheless awesome video,thumbs up

      Not need for handbrake, it has a very good "automatic break" when is necesary

      @@Pecke1234 yes but with a wheel in the air, with no resistance torque, torsen is useless. In all other occasion is fantastic and helps a lot in transferring torque to the wheel with greater grip (up to a limit percentage)

      @@cocalarusnk CVT is not that reliable for offroading. for everithing else, is. just think of the way of how you get to chose and use low range gears. cvt takes that away from you.

      @@lbtlbt3144 secondo me è un lock right e non un torsen si evince sia dal comportamento dell’auto sia dal tipico rumore che produce quel differenziale. Comunque si vende e si monta sostituendo il differenziale originale

      Il differenziale lock right in realtà è un autosbloccante cioe sempre bloccato e si sblocca in curva su delle pendenze laterali per giunta può risultare pericoloso guardati qualche video sul differenziale lock right c’è ne sono molti su CZcams
