Id be tempted to see what the tr black 5s plays like
Black 6X here. Tipped about 2 inches with Velocore label close to the adapter. 6X and tipped would not have been my first choice but beggars can't be choosers. I got used to the X flex after a couple of range sessions. As is, it is miles better than OEM Blue 6S.
I love the Ventus Black and moved to the TR Black as soon as it was released as I am aggressive with the downswing at the top with the handle. Great shaft and I thought nothing would beat it. Please try the Proxima shaft. Recently switched to it and will never go back. I’ve got the Proxima 6X. Super stable and nothing I’ve ever hit or tested is as good into the wind. Proxima is straighter and gives a little more distance but it’s “super power” is its consistency and accuracy.
How would you compare the tr black to the Hazrdus 4th gen black ?

What about if you added swing weight like the other video?
Would the black tr be a good hybrid shaft?
I’m definitely intrigued by extra weight, but I think late in the round it wouldn’t be beneficial. Unfortunately there isn’t a TR hybrid shaft yet, but I wouldn’t rule out one in the future.
What would you recommend for long-term use (mid handicap, 5 months into golf), the black tr 5s or the red tr 6s option?
I honestly don’t know how to answer this question. I’d find a fujikura fitter and go through the correct process.
i understand for low handicap to pro golfers shaft is vital but would there be a major difference of a premier shaft to off the shelf shafts they sell with drivers at retail for a mid to high handicapper with a consistent swing technique.
There’s always a benefit to better equipment when properly fitted, but I suppose for a lot of people it gets down to whether or not they can justify the cost. In my opinion, the worse the golfer, the more they can benefit from fitted gear. At a professional level, the gains from fitting are so minute, but obviously very important. Spend what you are comfortable spending and enjoy your golf. 😃

just wondering what is the length with the stealth head on that you got to swing weight D2.7 thx.
I’m sure it was 45 1/8 at D2.7.
