- We spent Easter 2023 at Fields End Water Caravan Park in Doddington Cambridgeshire. A 5 Star Tranquil Parks site and we can't praise the site enough. www.fieldsendwater.co.uk/

The site looks lovely and the pitch size is amazing. What a beautiful pitch on the waters edge too. The facilities looked top notch too.
I have never seen a friendly Canadian goose 😂😂
Some people say the rain was biblical and it’s a pitter patter but me oh my - that was real rain 🌧️

Good video , pleased you had a nice stay but we weren’t so lucky, we were there Easter 2022 when the site was invaded by travellers who had managed to get past the barriers early on the Thursday morning before we arrived and refused to leave.
Washing over hedges, toys noise , children, teenagers …
The site owner knew the travellers had broken in when we and many others arrived to start our weeks stay for Easter but chose to say nothing, everywhere was barricaded off to stop anyone entering so we asked what was wrong , he said nothing. Just lied !
By the next day there were children running riot in our loo block , water fights, mess , they took over the laundry room . It got very tense.
The site owner left them to it for 3 days and we had no information, no advice, no contact from the site owner, we had no facilities to use( obviously we had our own) and were not allowed to use the lakeside facilities!!
After 3 days of letting them wreck the loo block near us he closed it.
There were screaming, traveller children knocking on our caravan door saying they wanted to buy our caravan.
Traveller women walking about looking for any spare grass areas .
A huge row and stand off between the site owner and a senior male traveller, cars screeching round the gravel of the carpark and fighting.
Police who could do nothing as was a bank holiday and had to wait till Tuesday when the courts opened… security guards bought in who were useless and looked terrified .
Then 30 minutes notice on Easter Sunday morning for all of us ( every single caravan) to get off the site as fast as we could as the owner was leaving.. we had to get our awning down and pack up in 30 minutes as we hadn’t seen the email at 8am and we were the last on the site to get a knock on our door from site staff at 9.30 am.
We had already decided late on Sat night enough was enough, we would go Sunday but obviously after we had rung round to find somewhere else but then obviously things were out of our hands and it was just ridiculous with the thought of being left behind if we were late packing up.
From the Thursday when we arrived until the Sunday when we left the site owner didn’t even have the good grace to call on each of us to apologise or check we were ok, we couldn’t get off site as it was barricaded with cars and pick ups . He had closed the office and on site shop.
He was totally unapproachable , awfully rude and extremely uncaring of the site visitors when we even tried to talk to him on the Friday and Saturday he just put his hand up to block us, we had run out of a couple of things but he refused to open the shop.
There was clearly history between the site owner and the travellers and the site owner and i think something similar had happened before.
On the Sunday with the mass exodus there were queues for us all trying to get off the site and more travellers waiting to come in.
It was awful!
I was on my phone in the car as we left trying to get in at another site , we were lucky and several of us managed to get in at Ferry Meadows thank goodness.
After that the site owner would not answer calls or emails for days , we asked for a full refund but he refused saying he would only refund for the four nights we had not stayed even though he booked us in knowing full well what an awful time we would all have.
After several emails he got very nasty, refunded us in full and we will never go back !
He clearly only cares about the money and not his paying guests .
Sounds awful, as I said in the video, I couldn't fault the site but then we didn't have any of the cabaret you have experienced. Hope you give the site another go.
@@wardieswobblebox we would have definitely gone back if the owner had been nicer, seeing him under pressure it was clear to everyone on the site his only worry was for himself and he didn’t care at all about his paying guests and sadly his staff were the same .
They all had 3 days & nights to check on us, reassure us, offer to let us use the shop as we couldn’t get out most of the time but absolutely nothing and when i asked to buy some coffee the owner was particularly rude and obnoxious, he showed his true colours so would not go back or recommend the site as its not the first time it had happened and we were told after that its an ongoing conflict and will happen again x

We haven't gone anywhere, just busy with family, home and work and not as active on CZcams as I would like to be. Hoping to change that soon - thanks for noticing we aren't around.
