  • In this video, we'll be checking out the Constellation Taurus ship - ROC mining combination!
    The Constellation Taurus is a variant of the Constellation series of spaceships in Star Citizen.
    Here are some key features and details about the Constellation Taurus:
    Manufacturer: The Constellation Taurus is manufactured by RSI (Roberts Space Industries), one of the fictional ship manufacturers in the Star Citizen universe.
    Role: The Taurus is primarily designed for cargo hauling and trading. It is focused on carrying a significant amount of cargo in its spacious hold.
    Crew: Like other Constellation variants, the Taurus is a multi-crew ship, typically requiring a crew of four to operate efficiently. It has stations for a pilot, co-pilot, and gunners.
    Cargo Capacity: The Constellation Taurus is known for its substantial cargo capacity, making it suitable for hauling goods and commodities across the universe. It has a large dedicated cargo bay for this purpose.
    Armament: While the Taurus isn't as heavily armed as some other Constellation variants, it still has defensive weaponry to protect itself from threats. It typically includes turrets and missile launchers.
    Interior: The Constellation series is known for its modular design. The Taurus has an interior layout that is optimized for cargo storage, and it may have fewer luxury amenities compared to some other variants. The crew can access the cargo bay directly from the ship's interior.
    Exploration: While its primary role is cargo transport, the Constellation series, including the Taurus, is capable of some level of exploration. It's not as exploration-focused as some other ships in the game, but it can be equipped for various roles.

    What do you think of the Constellation Taurus + Greycat ROC pair?

    Lovely ship! Maybe I can afford it one day. Great seeing you swat that pest!

    I started with a basic Avenger Titan package then upgraded a bunch lol, went from that to a Cutlass Black, to a Constellation Andromeda, to a Drake Corsair, and also own a RSI Scorpius for combat. But the Corsair is no snob either when it comes to firepower. But love your videos man! You really capture that true, authentic SC experience lmao no smoke and mirrors

      Avenger Titan takes me back for when I first started lol and thank you! I like to call things out how I see them 😅

    This is my exact setup. the Taurus has a 179 storage and I found that you get less jumping around with the roc if you turn it off and close the doors on it while lifting a lowering it from the Taurus. also the storage in the back is used to smuggle contraband as when your ship is scanned it wont show whatever is back there

    • @zirHazeGaming
      @zirHazeGaming  Před 8 měsíci

      Ohhh I’m gonna have to try this! Last time, the ROC jumped so much it nearly killed me lol and cool, it’s good to know that the back part has some use.

    I started with the Origin 100i on the occasion of the Red Festival event, but now I do delivery missions and illegal corgo transport with the 315p, much more spacious, I like it a lot. Now, I want a Vulture for salvage mission to buy a Prospector for mining. Thanks for the nice video.

    Glad you did this video o was thinking about this too the phoneix variant. It would be nice out of all the videos you made on the roc to choose an overall yojr favourite out of them all. What would you take out above the rest and why

    I've used this Combo since the Roc got released, though it was with a Aquila to Start as the Taurus was not released.
    Once it was released though lucky for me i already had the Jpeg purchased.
    Now a lit of my friends like to use the mole for mining, i prefer taking two others with me in my Taurus.
    So a pilot, Two ROC's and two ppl to drive the ROC's.
    Once we find a nice cluster of Hadinite (we try and find two cluster) we drop of one ROC per cluster while the Taurus gives Air support from above.
    We don't ROC mine foe profit in our case, we practice ROC mining for our Geology training (Science gameplay).
    We are in an Exploration org so its all going practice for us.
    Great video loved your enthusiasm, very relaxing and entertaining video.

    My first ship was an Aurora, quickly upgraded to a 125a for bunkers.
    The lower turret of your Taurus is actually a tractor beam, for loading and unloading cargo when the cargo elevator is down. Like the cargo room on the Mercury Star Runner, the room which used to house the snub fighter on other Constellations is shielded, so will be used to prevent scans from detecting illegal cargo inside. The enemy you fought was an NPC spawned for someones bounty mission, you can tell because he has a space in his name (players can't use spaces). As long as you're in the armistice zone of the mining facility (it's the no bullets icon in the upper right, the other is a satellite to indicate that criminal offenses will be logged) those NPCs actually can't damage you. The Constellation series are extremely strong combat ships, capable of doing very high and extreme threat bounty missions.

      @zirHazeGaming  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Yea, constellation are a really good do it all ship! Love them! I have the Taurus, C1, and then pledging the prospector next!

  • @secretweapon7764
    @secretweapon7764 Před 8 měsíci +2

    I love the Taurus, but I find it too hard to land on some places to Roc mine. Uneven terrain and rocks in the way. I used in game money to buy a cutty for Roc hauling and save my Taurus for cargo runs and bounty hunting.

    • @zirHazeGaming
      @zirHazeGaming  Před 8 měsíci

      Yea, it is a bit challenging at times, specially with the cargo bay having to be lowered. I’m keeping it so I can haul the stuff I refine after it being mined with the prospector.

  • @Minimeister317
    @Minimeister317 Před 7 měsíci +1

    I had no idea you could scan rocks inside your non-mining ship, good to know!

  • @Desrtfox71
    @Desrtfox71 Před 8 měsíci +1

    This is my go to ROC mining setup except with the Phoenix instead of the Taurus. The lift gives you a roll on roll off capability and decreases the chance that you'll land the ship in a way that makes the ROC difficult or impossible to get back into the ship.

    • @zirHazeGaming
      @zirHazeGaming  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Heck yea! Connies are a good setup overall! I hope the fix the ROC issues soon though 🙏🏽

  • @stephenhillyer88
    @stephenhillyer88 Před 8 měsíci

    Love the Taurus! Only one turret though, the lower turret is a tractor beam turret for loading the ship.... The other Constellation models have weapons in the lower turret.

    • @zirHazeGaming
      @zirHazeGaming  Před 8 měsíci

      Ohhh didn’t know that! Thanks for clarifying 🙏🏽

    • @durtyred86
      @durtyred86 Před 8 měsíci +1

      Not all of them. The Aquila has a turret in the bottom but a scanner in the top. It's an exploration ship. The Taurus being a cargo ship makes sense to have a tractor beam attached. The combat variant 'Andromeda' and the luxury variant 'Phoenix'both have double turrets, though.

  • @durtyred86
    @durtyred86 Před 8 měsíci +1

    If you can only own ONE ship, the Constellation Taurus is THAT SHIP to own lol... It's literally a Cutless Black on steroids. It can cover several game loops easily. I a Wing Commander and still, I glorify this ship. ❤

      It is really the best overall ship. Taurus hauls much more than other Connie variants. I also picked up a Drake Corsair for Pyro (if we ever actually get there)
