A slight historical sapphic romance book is Pride and Prejudice and Pittsburgh by Rachael Lippincott. It’s set in the early 1800s when a modern-day teen gets sent back in time and she falls in love with a girl she met there who is trying to escape her future with a man she doesn’t love. Amazing recommendation. Good for adults and YA alike. 5 stars.
the coldest touch by isabel sterling is such a perf book rec for sapphic twilight but less creepy! i just recently visited it and i really enjoyed it!
Tipping the Velvet is a historical sapphic book. I read it years ago so can’t remember much about it though. I bought Astrid Parker last week with my birthday money as I enjoyed Delilah Green so much! I love these book rec videos ❤

There are so many great historical sapphic books (I'm an enormous enthusiast of the genre). Any gay must pick up Sarah Waters, that requires no explanation. I'm partial to Tipping the Velvet but Fingersmith is a masterpiece. I love her angstier stuff too but it's not for everyone, for example, Affinity. Other than Sarah Water, I recommend Patience and Sarah by Isabelle Miller, Backwards to Oregon by Jae, and The Perks of Loving a Wallflower by Erica Ridley if you're more into romances. Regarding the Twilight prompt, I weirdly have a rec too. There's an older series by Malinda Lo that isn't about vamps but is supernatural and has all the early 2010s YA conventions. It also has a bi heroine and a m/f/f love triangle. The first book is Adaptation. Look it up, it's really fun!
i used to always HATE reading because you were forced to in school and stuff but THEN i discovered fanfiction and suddenly LOVED reading. Its had a consequence though, fanfic has rotted my mind so much that i cant read physical paper books. I CAN ONLY read from a screen and even more specifically the AO3 format, like if its not that format my brain wont get into it, like i actually cant understand the words im reading or string them together, so if i find a book i wanna read i have to get it online and then copy and paste the entire thing into a word doc and put it landscape and the AO3 font to be able to focus on it at all or physically be able to read it. I fucking love sapphic books so much but its a whole process for me :(
For the mystery one I would highly recommend The Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir. It's always described as lesbian necromancers who explore a haunted castle which is correct but it's leading more towards mystery. Just a warning that it can be really confusing which is honestly what makes them such a fun read!
Re: enby characters - Chef's Kiss by TJ Alexander for romance. If you're into SFF, Genesis of Misery by Neon Yang and Once and Future by Cory McCarthy and AR Capetta.
For historical stuff, Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl by Andrea Lawlor. Set in the early 90s and written by someone who experienced that time, it's a very spicy tour of various iconic queer things of the era, from Michfest to Provincetown to San Francisco, all through the lens of a character who has a unique relationship with gender.
I just read Cinderella is dead. A queer book about 2 girls trying to avenge Cinderella’s death and the girls end up dating.
I'm currently writing a queer mystery and looking for an agent and publisher so hopefully I can help with that reccomendation soon! 😂
Wolfsong is a recommended twilight but gay. There are also a bunch of gay vampire books out there. I haven’t actually read any myself, so I can’t recommend any unfortunately.
My favourite historical sapphic book of all time is Fingersmith by Sarah Waters, but it's for readers with a lot of patience because I've seem people who call it boring.
Historic Lesbian books - Emma Donogue Learned by Heart is a coming of age Anne Lister story.

twilight gay and less creepy… i’ve been reading Carmilla. well, scratch that - i read Carmilla, hated the gothic writing style bc it made my brain hurt and made me bored. butttttt “Carmilla and Laura” by S D Simper is 10/10. the OG is good in the manner that you can appreciate and really dive into the “remake” Simper created so well. reading the original alsoooo means that you can see where the main detours or elaborations were made in comparison. quite nice, quick reads :) anywho, that’s legitimately the closest i could imagine for twilight lol, sorry if not!
