    Thanks for showing the campsite. Fontana Hilton must be the nicest shelter in the AT. The places you stay at and the people you meet just make the journey so worth it. How nice that they did your laundry.

    The hiking staff leaning against the entrance of The Hike Inn is just about identical to mine.
    Rest days seem to be either the worst from frustration and/or pain, or the best from the mod cons and/or just the relief of rest instead of hiking like a maniac.

    Good morning. What great camp site. I wanted to go camp on a island one more time.... but its surrounded with poison ivy and oak.....i mean not just a little..i went to spray ..i have a shot for it.....yes there is one....and I could see it fighting it off.....its so thick there.
    So instead I'm getting a smaller tent and getting back to plien airing instead....

      @WorldTowning I'm sure it's hard! Probably hard for him to call you by a trail name too! I remember when my trail friends got their trail names it was hard and I only knew them for a couple weeks! Good luck! Lol

    Appreciate most detail on Fontana Hilton shelter and tent pads I have seen to date. Fontana hiker battery charging station powered by large solar panel for low light condition created by tree shade (+2:53). Who said solar panels do not work on AT low light conditions?
    Better to show size of shower with picture of Largo standing in shower. I took shower at Hilton and noticed larger shower than most hotels.

      I’ve read on other sites there are lots of left over foods & the main thing are spikes for winter footwear. Lots of washers for water filters. Few discarded rain clothing that’s torn

    Why do you use the word "humans" it seems so odd, I think they are people

    • @WorldTowning
      @WorldTowning  Před 17 dny +1

      I don't know why I use that word. I just have for years and it is now part of my vocabulary. I think I started by saying "humaning is hard" and "peopling is hard" did not really make sense to me. Ha!
