Annie, so sad 😞 to hear this, my wife & I were loyal followers and loved your uploads…being not only an inspiration, but also a kind & giving person. Your personality shines behind the camera. Keep us posted and Godspeed on your healing.
Thank goodness for the earthly angels who have appeared to bring you their loving support and excellent care. So much love, compassion, uplift and admiration are streaming to you from all directions Anne ❤❤❤
Anne I am so sorry you got hurt and the pain must have been horrible. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse. You have done more than zi could ever dream of doing. I love that you loved it so much. It is something I have wanted to do since I was a teenager! I will miss seeing you in your element but thank God that you will heal and go on to live life some more. Love you Anne
Oh Annie! I’m so very sorry! I can only imagine your disappointment. Praying for you. PLEASE post an at home video to let us know how you are. We all care!!
I love your attitude of thanks for the journey you made. My heart hurts for you, just a random accident, but so glad you had good people helping you. Rest and heal in all ways.
Oh Anne. I hope your feeling better. Always look at the positive. Not the negative. You’re an amazing person. I’m just thankful you didn’t get hurt worse. I will be keeping you in my prayers. Hugs and prayers. 🙏🤗🙏
Only you can have such a positive attitude about this. I’m sure it’s also so heartbreaking, but I love that you’re focusing on what you have done accomplished rather than what you haven’t. We’re all so proud of you and love you so much.
oh my dear Annie.. I love you so much. I am soo terribly sorry I have no words. I am praying for you .for safety and healing.... May God help you in every way we are all praying for you!!!!
Oh Anne, I am so very sorry that this happened to you! But I am so proud of you for what you have done! You are truly an inspiration for us all! Bless you and please take care...my thoughts and prayers for you will continue ❤
I’m so sorry about the accident. Annie, in the face of adversity, you continue to be so positive and optimistic. You are so gracious and strong. I’m so glad my Grace shared this link. I knew you were a special person when Grace shared a video of you playing the piano/Christmas songs at Daniel’s party at M and G’s . God bless you and praying for a full recovery. Take care of yourself.🙏🏻
Oh my goodness, Annie. You are so sweet and I so enjoy following you. I wish you a full recovery and hope to see you on the CZcams soon with an update.
Bless your heart…I hate to hear that you had to end your AT journey…but glad you had a great week and so many good people surrounding you on trail. You were so sweet to give some of your gear away. Please do some update videos so we know how you are doing. I followed your last hike too. I hope you don’t give up on backpacking and hiking …you just need to find a way to do it thats works better for you, but still allows you to get out in nature and enjoy…there are easier trails, or maybe ones closer to home that you could do with friends or family…maybe even some camping/hiking…just not as big of a challenge/commitment. O know its hard when you have the leg power and stamina to hike, but have had these 2 accidents..but i think over time, you will fond a way to enjoy the great outdoors..just maybe a little differently…take care, and great job on making it to Pennsylvania!
This just popped up my feed, I've been following a couple of hikers, and my heart goes out to you. One woman who I started following also had to leave the trail. Her injury wasn't as serious as yours. She's been posting some hikes/adventures from home. I'm subscribing, so hope to hear how you're doing. So generous of you to think of others as you go through such a difficult time personally. Good decision to stay put for a few days so you can settle a bit before heading home. Wishing you all the best!
I’m so sorry, Annie :( I hope you will be okay. Sending hugs and prayers your way. I am so glad you had people there to help you, so thank our LORD for that!! ❤
Well dang. I also know about injuries on the trail. It is heart breaking and confusing and just so many emotions. There is nothing worse than walking into something and it wipes you out. I’m glad you had help during the night and such great care by your rescue team. I hope you have a speedy recovery. You may want to do sections at some point. My hiking pal from TN is going out again this spring she is 74. She broke her pelvis one year and went back and she just loves the trail and the community. Never say never❤. Thank you for sharing your journey. It was a joy to watch until you got hurt. Important for hikers to see the hardest reason we leave the trail and the emotions that come with it. Peace to you Sookie 2016
I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’m praying for a speedy and complete healing physically and emotionally. I had to end a thru hike of the BMT and was heartbreaking. It took me 4 months to get over what happened. With some Inspiration from a friend I have now gotten back to backpacking. Not to the level of I was at but I enjoy spending a few days on the BMT or the AT. It’s kind of nice knowing I’m going home in a few days to see my wife, family and dogs. Not to mention hot showers, a comfortable bed and good food. lol Hang in there. Don’t give up on what you love. 😁
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! My friend and I just started a flip flop and we were at that shelter just a few days earlier. We also did a Nero at Zero Day Hostel. So happy Hoody was able to help you! He is a great guy! Hope you heal fully and quickly and are able to get back on trail in whatever capacity you find works for you. You are a very tough lady! Not too many people would hike down even 4 miles with a broken wrist!
Take care, heal up, and you can continue when the time is right. This is not as easy as it looks. Our bodies are fragile, and I'm sure you'll be in good shape soon. I know two ladies with similar injuries who got medical help, got better, and are doing normal things now. Keep us posted.
Thanks for the videos. You hiked many miles and should be proud of that! You create an enjoyable vlog so if you vlogged some local day hikes after your wrist is up to it, I would watch that! Hope you heal quickly 👍
I had the same sort of fracture. The one thing I would tell you is to strive for the greatest recovery you can. I was told I would never play guitar again (I broke my left hand/wrist), never be able to do all sorts of things. I have some limitations, but more functionality by far than what I was told.
@@AnnietheHiker Oh, a cello player!❤️ czcams.com/video/w_1zFwzNOXc/video.htmlsi=Imr3UsYBF3Ia3F0C Not what I was, but playing, by gosh. Best to your recovery and keep pressing to find yourself!
Thank you for sharing your journey. Hope you heal up soon. Don't be hard on yourself, you have done something that I'm not able to do anymore and we have seen a new and beautiful part of the Appalachian Trail from a hiker's prospective.
The good lord is obviously intervening everytime you get on that trail so just know everything happens for a reason and when it's your time to complete it, he will allow it! Trust the man above and stay positive.
Oh Annie, im so sorry this happened. Dont let this stop your dream. Heal and come back out, even if you do it by weekly sections. Look at the good times you had in the week. A freak incident should define or change your dream. My husband has been section hiking the AT for years. Feel better and give yourself some time and grace both mentally and physically. God bless and keep us updated.
Only you can have such a positive attitude about this. I’m sure it’s also so heartbreaking, but I love that you’re focusing on what you have accomplished rather than what you haven’t. We’re all so proud of you and love you so much.
