I think i need to replace my filters...i didnt think i might have to butcher part of my micra 😂
Bloody hell... On my Yaris you literally take out the glove box and you're good to go. Good ol' Micra making things complicated! (But a car I love to learn things working on)
lol !. Yeah Nissan could have made this a bit easier alright ! :)
Well, conversely the headlight bulbs are so much easier on a Micra than on a Yaris from my experience. Give some take some.
Thanks for video, very helpful as I couldn't figure out how to remove the glove box. After seeing your video, I just changed my filter in ten minutes on my 1998 k11. I did not need to do any sawing thanks to a removable metal plate with 4 screws at the back of the glove box.
Good for you. thanks for watching :)
Little micra secret :D This was a shock to me :D
What? How can a replacement item need plastic to be cut? Weird.
omg REALY!!!! I THOUGHT MY BLOWER WAS TURING IN OPISITE DIRECTION AND YES I CHANGED A POLLEN FILTER FROM A HYUNDAY LANTRA RECENTLY but i never thougt in this case the filter was behind the motor(similar to hyunday)…..haha omg and i looked for that vertical slot and never bothered again when i saw that obstruction in front of it......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAMOGOMGOMGOMGFOMGOMGOMG ETCETC
VERY GOOD VIDEO...….
LOL thanks very much :)
NISSAN MICRA II (K11) 1.0 i 16V (54Cv), gasolina, A/C to 1999 has a polen filter?
Is it not the same as in this video ?
ScrewsNutsAndBolts It does not look the same, but I'll check it again. thank you.
did you found where is the filter?
me too I have a micra 1.0 A / C and it's different, I can not find the pollen filter !!!
@@ezanfirescu K11s with A/C don't have a cabin filter,only these without A/C have.
Hi, congratulations on your videos,
I have a nissan micra identical to the one in the video ... I followed all the steps .. but when I get to unscrew the plate to remove the filter, I have a problem ... there is no screw or plate there is all a single block of plastic ... 🙈 can you help me? Thank you.
Sorry for my poor english...
I have the same problem my friend, do you also have the ac model?
If so, I think that ac models don't have cabin air filter.
@@ptso34 correct, ac models dont have filters, if the system is dirty just buy a ac cleaning bom and follow the instructions on that
So what happens if I don't do a patch repair job on that plastic but just rip it out on these dotted lines? What is the structural function of that plastic? Is my stupid car falling apart when I don't patch that up?
I used to drive a Micra from '93 with more than 300.000km on the counter. It was my baby and my lovely Gertrude.
Sadly, the bottom plate was rusted through and through so I bought a 2001 ugly orange thing (christened Tom) with flaky paint, a broken air mass meter and a blower capacity that can't even blow out a candle. But hey, times are hard and he didn't cost me a kidney, I don't care about the paint but since I am going on a 1000km round trip this summer, I like that blower to work. (That air mass meter thing is been going on for a solid year now and it still goes so who cares huh?)
Thanks for this vid. I never would have molested that plastic on my own.
Don't call it stupid :( Micra will always love you.
@@Holms I would never call Tom stupid. He is just different. But still going strong. 😊
2001 models just have a metal plate instead of plastic that needs to be cut
No matter what I do, I cannot get those glove box pins out. Any hints and tips?
Are they the exact same as these ones ?. They should just pull out. Don't lever them, just hold them by the narrow bit and slide them straight out.
@@screwsnutsandbolts yeah, they rotate and I've held and pulled and twisted and they are NOT coming out lol.
@@betrayhonesty use screwdriver it will pull out, you won't break anything.
How often should you change the filter
Probably once every 30,000 miles. It should be made a lot easier than this though !
Every 15k km or one year.
@@liviu9181 lol 1 year, really? Maybe if you live near a desert, yes. 😂
does micra with air con doesnt have a filter
I don't know, sorry
@@screwsnutsandbolts It does not have a cabin filter
If I had to destroy the plastic panel behind the glove box , I will keep the filter dirty anyway
It's certainly the quickest way
On est obligé de couper la boite 😳
On some models, yes
@@screwsnutsandbolts ok thanks you
