    I worked at a mechanics shop for a year and a half, doing odd jobs, helping with servicing vehicles, cleaning engine parts etc and NOT ONCE was a cabin filter ever mentioned, ordered or touched. I had no idea....

      And if they do it, they'll overcharge you for it. Left my car in for svc this week. Got a call during the day; " Your cabin filter needs changing".... 'How much' ... " 75euro" 'Leave it'..... Don't know how he decided it needed changing. Plus the car only has 19000Km on it

    In my K12 modal(2008), the glove box has electric cables mounted in left side as well.
    you have to use some pillar and flat screwdriver to push it out.
    If you got some resistance when try pull out the glovebox.
    Don’t forgot to check!

    This is quite possibly the most stupidly designed air box in the history of the automobile! What should take 2 minutes takes half an hour and I've done it a couple of times now.

    • @fallofdutee
      @fallofdutee Před 5 měsíci

      Well, nissan was taken over by Renault and this isn't easy especially if the glove box doesn't come out due to a fixed cable on the lhs behind the glove box. However if you want to see a stupid design try and replace the pollen filter on a mk3 scenic! You have to remove the clutch pedal! The French have no idea. The mk2 scenic was a 10 second job, lift bonnet take off cover out with old in with new

    I removed the filter and drove to town to get a replacement while still running the blower motor. On return home it stopped working. While I suspect a resistor going bad, is there any possible sensor detecting pollen filter removal?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před měsícem

      Not that I know of ?. Does it work at any fan setting ?

    • @andrejpalic
      @andrejpalic Před měsícem

      @@screwsnutsandbolts It ran at any setting after trying it a couple hours later, but only for like 20 minutes, nothing since. But after going through the automatic air condition manual I realized there might not even be a resistor since ctrl + f seems not to find it unlike for manual. Thank you anyway, your channel has been great source of help ever since I bought my micra.

    Hi I have a k12 S, the area where the filter goes in yours, is not the same in mine. It is solid same colour as the rest of the plastic and it looks the same on the drivers side, any ideas where else the filter may be on the model 2006, S petrol, 1.2??

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před rokem

      The system could be low on coolant. That can cause the compressor to be shut off, even if it's showing the light on.

      Wife has manual Micra 1.2S 2005. As usual, the Haynes Manual gets it wrong. No mention of aircon only. Have drilled around the plastic end plate in the filter box, removed it, cleaned up the edges and fitted the filter. An afternoons work but only needed to do it once.

      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 4 dny +1

      Thanks, I did it by the book in this video to show clearly what you need to do. However, you may be able to remove it by just reaching under the glovebox and without removing it, now that you know what you have to do.

  • @stevegrace2134
    @stevegrace2134 Před 9 měsíci

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Wrong ?. The instructions are direct from the Nissan workshop manual. The video isn't for people who have changed cabin filters all the time. It's to show people who've never done it before how to do it and show them clearly what they have to do.

    • @kinggeneral2760
