Let's actually say this punter is right about Hartman being an entitled, bitter former employee. Was Mecole lying about anything? Was he wrong about his assessment? Jets haven't been to the playoffs in 13 years. The Browns have been twice since they last saw a post season game on the field.

EXACTLY!!!! I LOVED the full podcast with him on 'The Pivot'!!!!! He said nothing negative abt Aaron Rogers!!! He knew Aaron Rogers was an incredible QB!!! He spoke very highly about Aaron R as a QB!!! He also spoke very highly about their defense.

He does. His opinion was that he quit on the team when going got tough, and tried to induce tampering at BEST and compromised the integrity of the game at worst. He was also right about the disfunction after the AR injury. Both can be true, but everyone knew the disfunction and nobody knew he was a toxic rat that quit on a professional football team when he got outplayed by a rookie. The only people who had issues with what he said are the New York media and their players. He NEVER called out any players. He did shade the offensive staff and the S/T coordinator but gave props to the defense
I know & to Aaron Rogers he spoke very highly about, & was amazed by his talent!!!! And he w/o Aaron they had NO BACK UP!!!! Again it shows you how great Coach Reid & the Organization is, when they were talking about, w/ how great Pat is, they STILL ALWAYS have a back up QB!!! They immediately knew, & talked about how they remembered the Chiefs won 1 playoff game w/o Pat in a prior season whn he wz hurt!!! Last season, whn Pat sprang his ankle, Pat wz angry at Coach Reid cuz he wanted 2b back out there & play, while Reid sent out a back up QB. I recently rewatched that game. I think Andy did at 1 pt let him try, but Pat could barely walk & wz hopping even though he threw a great pass. But immediately after that play he wz on the ground. Andy took him off then & made him wait until 1/2 time so his ankle could be x-rayed & then they taped it up!!!

Shady should speak highly of both of them because he got two rings because of them. He played one snap in the Chiefs postseason and two snaps in the Bucs postseason and didn’t play in either of the superbowl games. He was a key role of the Chiefs regular season or course but he was a beneficiary of rings from those guys so he’d better speak well of them 😂

Why is no one talking about how horrendous the Jets offense line was? Not only does a better line potentially prevent Rodgers from getting injured, but when Zach Wilson actually had time in the pocket, he made some good plays. I don't think he's a QB1, but they have enough talent on that team and on the defense that if they had invested anything into that O-line they really might have made the playoffs, even with Wilson under center. I'm not a Jets fan at all, but I watched several of their games this year and that's my perspective.

What’s even stranger, is the same can be said about the Jets. People have such short memories. The Jets went to the AFC Champiomship game 2 years in a row in 2009 and 2010. Also what were the Chiefs before Andy Reid got there? The only 2 teams that have been consistently good for the last 2 decades are the Steelers and the Packers. Even the Patriots don't count because of theit last 4 years. Situations and luck have as much to do with it as anything. Congratulations to Mecole Hardman for playing on a Superbowl winning team, but he was fortunate to have landed in the right situation. 31 other teams did not win the Superbowl this past season. The Chiefs receivers were the weakness of that team all season.
The problem is the NFL caught up with Aaron Rodgers and no one was man enough to tell him . Let’s assist you a little more !!
Mecole when healthy had 500 to 600 yards for three years as the 3rd or 4th option in KC. He was having his best year, prior to getting injured his last year in KC.
Went to the Jets. Look at the production of the Jets Receiving core 😬. You have Wilson followed by Conklin and Hall 😂. Mecole getting them 500 to 600 yards would have helped them win more games. I think he would've gotten more if they used him correctly.
Go watch KC vs Chargers last game. Chiefs had Blaine Gabbert at QB. Blaine Gabbert! And Hardman put up 77. And Jets had him riding the bench. Look at what he did in the Superbowl.

Mecole’s statement is interesting because he’s accurate that they don’t have a winning culture and it’s definitely being overblown as a much bigger deal than it actually was mostly because NY fans, players and media don’t wanna hear it because it’s basically kicking them while they’re down. At the same time it’s funny because throwing the offense to Aaron isn’t some absurd thing as if that isn’t what happens in most offenses when they have an elite QB - let’s not pretend that while the Chiefs are run way better than the Jets that the offense isn’t focused on Mahomes and would be changed substantially if somebody else had to operate it. The indictment against the Jets is how poorly Hackett pivoted to adjust things for an entirely different player when Wilson had to take over. But it’s also funny because even as a Chiefs fan realistically the only reason he’s speaking up is because he went there and they didn’t use him at all when he was there and only had one target in NY. And speaking big about winning is also funny coming from him because while he has been on a team that’s gone to four superbowls and has three rings he has played a noticeable role in two of those games. He had strong production in 2020 when they beat the Browns and he came through huge in this superbowl. Otherwise in all the other playoff games he played in he was a 3 or fewer targets for 20 or fewer yards receiver in the rest and last year he didn’t play in the superbowl. So imagine for the team and fans it’s rubbing salt in a wound that a guy who didn’t get time for you and would be considered by many to have been a smaller role player who has had the luck of being on a great team to have rings telling them how you win.
