Lol, I run a reefer, and one of the common loads we get are watermelons. First time I loaded them, sure enough, the yellow light went off on my reefer. "What the hell?" I'm out checking the reefer, and everything looks fine? Come to find out, yep, ambient temperature at the dock was around 100, and they stacked those puppies damn near to the roof. Reefer was fine, it just took several hours for the darned things to cool down enough for the reefer to quit spitting out the error.

This is a really good video. I would like to add you can never press the defrost button enough times when the humidity is high. Also, keep up on maintenance and learn how to check every component yourself.
You should make some videos showing some things. You have a lot to teach being a reefer mechanic

Good to know. I wonder if that's why my refer kept saying refrigerant pressure low while it was 100 degrees and they were unloading part of my -10 degree load at the kwick trip today?
You may be low on refrigerant., Or something else like a weak compressor
@@DIYSEMI it didn't do it at stop one when it was 80° at five in the morning. Started at stop two when it was hot enough to kill the power to the DC in Wisconsin, and stopped by the time I got down the road to stop close to stop there and four. Hasn't done it since. It's a carrier and I'm still figuring it out. Haven't hauled reefer this much since I got my CDL like 7 years ago. I know what to do with some chains and binders or some wrench's... But give me a load of candy topper's and I'm a freaking new guy again. 😂
@@DIYSEMI yep... It spun a gear and sprung a couple leak's in crucial places. The codes were telling the truth for once. It's all better now. 😂
