  • Radiofrequency could be the missing link for treating certain forms of erectile dysfunction. Because it acts upon the fibro-skeleton of the penis. In this video on UroChannel, Dr. med. Dr. phil. Stefan Buntrock, a urologist from Göttingen, explores a groundbreaking radiofrequency device for penile health, promising improvements in erectile function and potential benefits for Peyronie’s disease. This device, crucial for maintaining the penis's fibro-skeleton, addresses venous leakage and erectile dysfunction (ED), notoriously hard to treat. Dr. Buntrock emphasizes the inevitability of penile aging, highlighting the importance of vascular health and lifestyle choices like non-smoking, exercise, and healthy eating.
A key point is the device's at-home usability, offering a convenient approach to penile maintenance. The discussion delves into various regenerative therapies for ED, including shockwaves and platelet-rich plasma, underscoring that such treatments are most effective for mild to moderate ED. The video stresses the importance of seeking professional medical advice before starting treatments like radiofrequency.
The presenter shares results from a pilot study involving 28 men with organic ED. Using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) and the Erectile Hardness Score, the study showed significant improvements in erectile function and rigidity after treatment. However, the video reminds viewers that these are preliminary results from a small-scale study, necessitating larger studies with control groups for conclusive evidence.

Love how science approach this kind of matters. It’s no longer a taboo, and easier from now on to treat.

Have any "pilot" studies been done on older men with ED trying different age female participants?

I bought this device about 2 weeks ago and I did about 6 therapy sessions with it. In the last week, my varicocele reactivated and grew, I have almost constant pain that affects my sleep. Now it's hard for me to believe that this treatment is totally free of adverse effects, since it acts precisely on the veins.

I am sorry that you experience discomfort, but I can’t see any connection to the device. First of all: there is NO venous pathway connecting the testicles with the penis! Varicocele is a venous problem of the testicles. The penis and the testicles follow different paths when it comes to venous drainage. Secondly: The device must NOT be used on your testicles!! It is used on the penis only and if used correctly, the electrodes don’t even touch your scrotum. Lastly, 6 sessions is not a whole lot. I wouldn’t expect much effects this early in the process, let alone side effects. Testicular pain has several reasons. Pain with varicocele is rather uncommon. In these cases I always consider the pelvic floor as a possible cause.

At 83 years old I'm as hard as when I was a teen. Not just hard, it's RIGID. Don't smoke. Never have. Don't drink. Never have. Eat right. At the gym most days. Normal weight. Also, my penis hasn't shrunk. It's still 7 X 5.75. Maybe I should be studied. I enjoy your vids and I'm glad you're here for the men who need you.

Thank you for sharing this! You are an example of what is possible if you abstain from life-shortening lifestyle habits! Yet one has to remember that genes (and luck) also are part of the equation. A long and healthy life can’t be guaranteed if you follow the rules. But it becomes more likely!

The grass is always greener on the other side. Actually there are a lot of things in healthcare I admire the US for. I also order material from the US for my office, because they don’t produce it in Europe.

I wish they were available in the US. I’m a prostate cancer survivor (so far), but all I can get is generic viagra. It works, but the side effects are annoying. Small price to pay, I suppose. Put my name on one from the first batch. I’ll come and get it!

Thank you for your comment. I can see a place for this kind of therapy in penile rehabilitation after prostate cancer treatment. But apart from baseline status, and treatment modality, time is of the essence. I uploaded two videos about it. Here is no. 1: Rationale for penile rehabilitation in prostate cancer | UroChannel
