Great games for sure, i would like to see Eternal Darkness, MGS Twin Snakes and RE4 bcs there are some OG stuff visually that were only in that GC original, later on every single port of RE4 lost that magic…
Gamecube online would be great. I'd hope for Luigi's Mansion 1, Double Dash, Starfox Assault and the Mario Parties.

I’m ready for the Metroid Prime 2 remaster. Bring it on! Had a blast replaying the first remaster. First time playing since the year after the original launched. Such an amazing game.

I don't really like NSO that much but honestly I am just ok with Gamecube Games getting remakes and remasters because I would get it physically and own it to plus it can be part of the collection to. To NSO Subscribers I would feel happy 4 them at least!

I doubt we'll see large scale Gamecube emulation on the current hardware. Gamecube is a tough system to emulate, and we shouldn't forget Switch has the performance of a 10 year old smartphone.
We already have gamecube adapters, so I'd love it if the wireless option references the Wavebird design.
Hm, sounds to me like an exclusive feature for the Switch's successor. And the library for it would probably be small, like around 20 titles, since there's a lot of first-party Gamecube titles on the Switch already.
Nintendon't care what fans want. they WILL add a higher price tier to their online if any new systems get added.

When it comes to the current storage situation with GC game file sizes it is easily avoidable if you lets say COULD download the games individually or cloud streamed but next to nobody has JUST the stock internal storage so it would be fine either way.
What scares me, if they ad GameCube, they’ll bring the price up to $70 or $80

When the 2017 console came out, they should of right away made a decision and say an Explanation pack is coming to add good content and over time, add more content and then add the GameCube tier at $50 a year, but instead of doing that, they added the Expansion pack addition later and now it’s so later that when they make the next console, GameCube would be added with an increase and leaving people that still has the original Nintendo Switch out of the picture and want people that probably doesn’t have the money to spend on a brand new console to play GameCube, I just wish they added it like in 2018 or 2019 vs letting players to wait and wait if it’s going to be added this year

We've already got remakes for some of THE best Gamecube games. Metroid Prime Remastered, Pikmin 1 and 2, Super Mario Sunshine in 3D All Stars, Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess on the Wii U, Sonic Adventure games on steam for $8 and $10, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy Chronicles, and who could forget? Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door is going to get a remake. Also Beyond Good & Evil too.
I hope the GameCube style controllers they release actually have the analog L/R buttons.

It depends on what they are planing to do, if the game cube on the Nintendo switch online they would exclude the game that are planing a remaster, and put the game that already have a remaster, and if their is not enough game for that, then they would add Nintendo DS games on the expension pack, if they are not part of the third tier, because if they want the third tier of price to be ready, for Nintendo switch 2 and the third tier would include everything in the base plan, expension pack, then the extra console like 3DS Wii and other mistery console obviously not WiiU. It also be lock into a one year subscrption. Does are just guessing.
The GameCube came out in 2001, which is when it was patented, they are just renewing the patent, which is due, don't overthink this guys

I feel like there's no point adding a gamecube games on NSO. After a months/months/a year, it would have been totally useless without the membership. I want a port or a remaster so that I can get it physically.

Just so you know, if you focus on a digital switch, it’s fair to say it will cost a lot but none of this stuff is cheap. A decent micro sd card will be able to hold a huge section of games making the switch currently, ideal for holding many GameCube games. There are a few games currently that take up a crazy amount of space. It’s a development issue.
Honestly Nintendo is gonna make sure that it’s gonna be impossible to play GameCube games in the distant future

There is most likely a NSO trailer for the next direct. Likely a new GBA wave, theres still a lot of first party titles they can add, would love to see Warioland 4 and Pokemon Emerald make it on

I pay for the basic service and I think if they are going to do GameCube games then some serious memory cards are going to have to be purchased. There’s no way that all of that GameCube data would be able to be kept on a Nintendo switch.

I don't think it's going to happen. Every one just assumes that since it came after the N64 it should be next to be added. But I remember that back a few years ago, people assumed the same with the mini consoles. Everyone was saying the N64 was next because we just got the SNES, so it had to happen. But it never did. The gamecube library is probably going to only happen on remasters for the time being. Don't get me wrong I would very much like this to happen, but I just don't see it. I hope I'm wrong.

If they do put GameCube games on Nintendo Switch Online I would be really happy. They should do the same thing with the 3DS games too and the DS. I really think it be really amazing. I know Nintendo shop is shutting down on the 3rd and Wii U but I’m hoping that if you really cool that if they did that but 3DS games on switch and game cube games, they should do the same thing with Nintendo Wii as well. Nintendo is amazing and I think it’s, pretty awesome to see that they’ve been doing their Nintendo Switch Online import to put their old gaming system. like the Nintendo 64 on Nintendo Switch Online and I really enjoy it and then I think it’s great that they’re doing it. I hope they will do it at the next Nintendo direct.

Why a next tier for the expansion pack? The expansion pack is at this point not worth it. They should do it like the Xbox game pass, and
just add more games. Nintendo get there money anyway.
And bring the feature to buy all old games directly from the eShop. Like they did with the DS.

what if... Nintendo really shocks us by shadow dropping prime 1 & 2 .. but not as purchasable games but as part of the gamecube NSO that will also be shadow dropped along side of it.
I'm a little unimpressed with the nso packs. I mean, you can already get these game libraries, complete, on your phone. I've been waiting for GameCube and Wii on a handheld, for years. Honestly, I would much rather buy an emulation device like rp4 pro and play my GameCube games on that, instead of waiting on Nintendo to finally add them to nso, and pay a monthly subscription for the privilege to play games that I already legally own physical copies of. I don't even want much... If Nintendo would port Zelda ww and tp for GameCube, I would be so happy! Of course, I want remasters, not nso subscription versions.
I'd love to see a wind waker HD and twilight princess HD physical game cartridge for switch. We have skyward sword HD botw & totk as well as NSO ones. an OoT remake physical game would be top teir.

Unless they drop that price tag considerably I just don’t have an interest in it at the moment. Paying for online is one thing but that expansion pack price has always been bullcrap and I sure as hell hope they fix that with their next system.

GameCube is probably the only generation that rivals the Switch for me as Nintendo’s best. Switch is still probably better but GameCube is a super close 2nd in my book!

But doesn't the Switch already have a Gamecube controller accessory? Not just an attachment that allows you to plug wired and Wavebird Gamecube controllers, but an actual wireless Gamecube controller that can be synced to the Switch?
Also, it's not likely that DS and 3DS games are gonna be added right away, unless the Switch 2 has a dual screen setup, simply because a lot of DS and 3DS games were built around that dual screen
Not happening. Switch isn't powerful enough to run Gamecube emulation well, all GCN games that are on the switch are either hybrid emulated/remastered.

I am still waiting on Super Smash Bros 64 to be released on NINTENDO SWITCH ONLINE. Then we would be playing the first 2 games in the Super Smash Bros series (SUPER SMASH BROS 64 and SUPER SMASH BROS MELEE).

Maybe they are releasing the Gamecube controllers alongside some GameCube HD ports (windwaker, twilight Princess, Metroid prime 2&3, f-zero gx, kid Icarus uprising) and the current announced GameCube HD ports and has nothing to do with NSO.
Anything except Pokemon please. But I can’t see them rolling it out in the current switch, perhaps the new hardware?
The only things Nintendo need to release a record breaking switch 2 is a new open world mainline pokemon game, and a new Mario Kart

I wouldn't be happy with a new tier. The Expansion Pack tier is just barely keeping me subscribed, I feel like Gamecube would be needed to keep me one for another year or two. As far as what games? Too many good ones.

All i want is Need for speed Most wanted 2005 no matter how i would even pay 80€ for it if its atleast in 1080p. Currently i have to emulate the Gamecube version to play it sadly.
I am highly doubtful of GameCube games on NSO considering
1. The larger file sizes of GameCube games would make an all in one app impractical
2. We have already gotten several remakes/remasters of GameCube games already. Metroid Prime, Pikmin 1+2, Paper Mario TTYD and I don't see that trend stopping anytime soon.
Main reason it won't happen is the switch isn't powerful enough to properly emulate GCN games, which Nintendo would probably want to do to not have to port a bunch of games over.
Pikmin 1 & 2 kind of throws out the idea, doesn't it? Especially with how successful it was.
They could just port the games over with minimal changes and sell it for $30, or go the Metroid route and do a full remaster for $40.
And Gamecube games now are in high demand!
Why would they put gamecube on NSO, when they can just charge you 60 dollar's for a remaster copy instead.
For the games that they won’t give the remaster treatment to. I think it’ll happen sooner or later, but likely not on the current switch.
If it’s Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Sunshine, Mario Baseball or a remastered Legend of Zelda games then I would upgrade.

Idk how well Nintendo online is doing but for me I only subbed twice and after having no new additions to the classics catalogs I cancelled my subscription and haven’t looked back since
Personally, I think that GameCube IMO has a 60/40 chance of coming. After all, I don't think they will remaster Mario Kart Double Dash or Super Smash Bros Melee so If GameCube NSO were to happen, I think the games Nintendo doesn't plan to touch in terms of remasters will be put in there
This is not good news because this means you will rent the games and also you will need to have many gbs of space just to download them all.
