- Mario Maker 3 is still a long time away and we don't know for sure if we'll ever get it. That's why I started creating my own Mario Maker game in Unity! In this video we'll take a look at some new enemies!

For the wing behaviour it would be cool if it was some sort of balistic missile thing, where if it sees mario, it detonates itself and aims at you, sending those firework right on your face. Or, it would make each seperate part have there own wing, and each part follows the main body, in a squid like movement

The pushing feature could be added when you give one of these guys a mushroom, like they gain the strength to push mario when big

Similar to how small Hammer bros turn into Sumo bros when given a mushroom and gain the ability to do stunning ground pounds
The hittbox for mawmaw eating things should be moved back a little into its mouth. Currently it looks like the enemy just disappeared and not like the mawmaw ate it
And it should also probably tween into its mouth

the giant Goomba does look like it could be eaten by the Maw-maw maybe it takes longer to swallow if you think it is to big to just eat.

Maybe for winged Babooms, when stomped on, they flip upside down, shooting their fireworks downward, with the recoil blasting the base upward to keep it in the air

i think it should also explode every 3 jumps
I think it would be neat if the Winged Baboom shot up into the air like a rocket when spawned, detonating all three fireworks at once in a slight spread pattern when it reaches the peak of its jump.

You know since Mario Multiverse is not leaving beta for a long long time and mario maker 3 will launch probably never i am so glad you are doing this i won't say that i hope it comes out soon cause i know game development takes time so i just hope it comes out someday thank you and best wishes!

Variation Ideas:
Winged Baboom: It flys through the sky, turning around if it hits something (like the winged thwomp). If Mario is above or below it, it would shoot a firework up or down depending on where Mario was.
Large MauMau: Same as the normal MauMau, except it mouth opens a few blocks higher. It can eat large enemies and rush through brick blocks.
Winged MauMau: A MauMau that flys through the sky, mouth always open. The mouth would stretch up and down. Anything eatable that touches the mouth would be inhaled. MauMau would stop for a moment to chew before opening its mouth to continue flying.
( I know I probably misspelled the names and I don’t really care )
if you make a big foo it becomes a tyfoo and gains the wind efect
02:24 I'd say the winged version flies left and right, and when attacked they start exploding. BUT, whenever they shoot a firework they're launched downwards and glide back up for the next one

hey I’m on the team for the game. While we don’t really plan to make the game source free, we have discussed adding mod functionality for the game in some forms, but that’s still up for debate. so maybe in the very distant future, but no guarantee.
That firework enemy when it's winged should fly from left to right in the air, it will be upside down and when it sees the player it start detonating sending the blast downwards.
I think for the winged baboons, just have em be like Paratroopas; they keep their wings and flow like ? Blocks, until they're jumped on. They lose the wings upon being jumped on and they'll blow up as per usual.
02:24 it would be cool if the sections launched off and bounced before firing causing a little bit of chaos with the enemy itself floating towards mario horizontally or walking if placed on the ground

The wing behavior to baboom could be where it flies like a bob-omb, but when jumped on it will fall and make the firework explosions simultaneously in three different directions when it hits the ground

Wing and big ideas:
Winged baboom: Maybe the fireworks curve or go farther.
Winged mawmaw: Either faster chase or acting similar to flying wigglers
Big mawmaw: Eat big enemies and take 3 hits
Kabam: Winged ones fly like bobombs but become heat sealing missiles so to speak when hit.
Big ones could explode into 2?
Foo winged ones float and make more fog.
Big ones become typhoo and can push Mario or enemies?

Wing behavior: They fly left, changing direction to right upon hitting a wall. And occasionally as they fly, they launch a firework of a random color without losing any segments. If stomped on, they become a normal baboom.
Also, I feel the baboom's explosions should make Bob-Ombs detonate instantly if hit.

It’s been awhile but it’s good to see that the game is still alive
The wing behavior for the firework guys could be that they fly around and pursue Mario kind of like a lakitu and fire their fireworks at him independently (firing up if he’s above them and down if he’s below)
Just some constructive criticism, I would make the maw as much faster. I loved the feeling of terror I got when I first encountered this speedy boi. Love what your doing here!
(Also, PLEASE add those munchy guys in wonder! I feel like that would make level creation so cool!)

I think the maw should chase big enemies but then look dissatisfied when they aren't able to eat it

Looks great so far! I think maybe you should add a slight animation so items and enemies shrink or move towards the mawmaw while it eats them, it looks quite off when they just disappear
I think the flying behavior of the baboom should have it fly around like a space invader trying to shoot under you

2:20 the winged variant can work similar to a thwomp walk underneath and the fireworks go directly downwards, loosing height the more fireworks are used
The wing behavior for the firework enemy should let him bounce like a koopa, and aim the fireworks at Mario when stomped, while floating in the air

I was so happy to get another one of these videos I watched it twice
I think the pushing effect could be used to make some interesting levels, like perhaps using the Foo to counter act the wind on wind levels. I'd also say maybe having the foo push enemies around could be interesting too, but honestly, I can't think of anything practical you could really do with that.

The flying mawmaw could fly in a straight line, colliding with blocks. If the player is close to them underneath or close to underneath it would swoop down like winged boom boom

for the baboom with wings, maybe the fireworks should fly in a sin wave wiggly pattern and have a special explosion ? like maybe its the same size but has 4-8 extra little fire bursts that destroy blocks.

The winged booboom variant should fly up and down, and when you jump on it it should tilt forward, still floating midair, and fire the fireworks forward (like a gun).

For the Winged BaBooms, they could shoot rockets down/upwards at mario, like the winged spiny
Here’s some ideas for the next video like this: A Sledge Bro. variant of the Boomerang Bro., Seeker Bullet Bills, Serponts, and Rexes.
The wing feature for the first enemy should be just like red Parakoopa, but it falls after being jumped on and explodes.
You know how Mario maker 1 and 2 had original powerups, like the weird mushroom, costume mushroom, super hammer, and a few others? It would be cool if you add custom powerups too, like maybe a lightning flower that can make platforms like the cloud flower, and shoot lightning projectiles or something.
This is wolf9 on a different account, and I have a Idea for the winged versions! (Like if you agree)
The winged kabam can ignite as soon as it sees mario and launch towards him exploding in that spot. This will keep mario on his toes when encountering them
The winged mau can also launch after mairo, but once the launch is finished, he gets exhausted and rests for a minute
And lastly, the winged baboom can shoot in only 4 directions after the first and second one, and 8 for the last one. It will start as a × pattern, then a + pattern, and after that, it should be obvious. If that's too difficult to code, then I completely understand

Hey, can you please go through a bunch of mario games, go through all the levels, and add all the stuff not in SMM2? (well, i guess also including the stuff in SMM2 actually). That way it would truly be the ultimate Maker since we would get all the tools Nintendo used.
I think that for the Baboom, you should make it so the fireworks are the same color as the sprite itself, so maybe make the Baboom with the red, blue and yellow colors, but thay would be har dwith the 3 color liminstion of the SMB style, so maybe make the fireworks white, yellow and orange/red

the winged mawmaws and kabombs should be able to chase anything detected vertically as well. the detection range for the mawmaw should also be expanded vertically

also, you should make the maw-maw faster. it's pretty slow as of right now
I think the firework enemy's wing formation (or any formation) should have it so every section it loses fires once per hit. Like Mario would have to jump on it 3 times with each jump being after a section is launched which could add some timing difficulty to fully killing it.

idea, if you had styles you could have side effects, so if you had wonder u could add a super jump and safety bounce for smb 3 speed meter and speed jump. smb w has spinjump and shell grab. nsmb has wall jump and air spin.

Recently i play super mario land 1 for the gameboy and there is a lots of hidden gem in there such has rock platform that drop from the sky and moove in a sinuzoid or bullette blaster that come out of pipe or moaï enemy and other stuff i think it could be a great addition + bring light on stuff that isnt used in mario game since then
