I do not plan on surgery for my recent acl tear. Not doing enough activity to warrant it. What do B&B think?

    Are there particular stretches you can do to relieve stress for the ACL/PCL? I've looked on your channel without much luck.
    Sometimes when changing positions during sitting, I would get a sharp pain, like I'm overstretching a ligament in one of my knees. I have very good body awareness and am certain its my ACL since it's coming from within my knee. I've also done the tests you recommend and didn't get any pain indicating meniscus issue.
    It's fine 99% of the time during walking or running. Just in those particular situations where I might twist and simultaneously stretch my knee (similar motion to those ACL tests that you said a physician would usually do). It might be just my lack of flexibility in my legs. I have some anterior pelvic tilt too so I'm sure that would affect it, since the body is one unit.
    I haven't had any injury and don't play sports and am 24yrs young.

      @diamanteduul8084 Před 2 lety

      edit: a few days later and its better now. Must've been those daily leg and hip flexor stretching exercises I do. It must've put some kind of strain on it. It's much less apparent now.

      I had some bruising around my knee joint as well as the tear, I feel like the bruising was worse but I felt the ACL tear itself and it felt like you tied a piece of rope to a point and held it, at the same time were cutting it with a knife. So you could feel the rope getting looser after every tear, only difference is that with the ACL it happened in a fraction of a second

    Go to a doctor. You don’t just get an ACL tear and have no pain. You know something happened. The question is what happened. This video also negates more important tests that confirm an injury. Whatever happened, you know you need help. I wouldn’t risk of hurting yourself with this injury.

      Go to the gym and start training legs. Squats, hamstring curls, calf raises and leg press, your leg musles will grow back to original size and the pain will fade away. I was in the same situation as you, but now after just 4 months of regular gym work out, not only did my muscles get back to original size but they also keep growing and I rarely have any discomfort in my knee. The secret is to train consistently for years and get your legs as massive as possible, then you can start running and jumping again. If I keep this up, I might return to football next year.
