i like how they printed a sign instead of just putting graphics on the screen. So bob and brad of them.
Watched it all, did all the exercises, no pain. Been 53 days since weird injury. Walking on a side hill. Left leg higher, felt confusing pain on left knee. Crutches for a month. Exercising for past 20 days. Doing better. Your exercises, showing no pain, plus the "you do not need surgery" comment, makes me feel better. Thankyou guys, excellent video. Truly appreciate it. Now to stop pretending Jack Lalanne was in great shape just by watching TV. Doesn't work!
Hello i also was hiking and injured my knee three weeks ago and drs say MRI is ok but still my knee feels weird. Also my leg was higher and too bent. Can you send me a message?
Your theme song slaps!
" Slap" is a good thing 😉
Who done your song
On bro
It slaps hard.
I was on a night out the other night and it popped into my head 😂
You guys are just the best. Your videos are always here for me and are an amazing supplement (in many cases more informative as to how to go about rehabiliting an injury) than my actual physiotherapist - although both are great. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge in this field - and your dad-jokes, those are off the charts good too.
You both are SO helpful! I'm a personal trainer and I get a lot of clients with injuries who come to me. I don't try to diagnose them, but your information gives me a much better understanding of how to take care of them! Thank you so much!
thank you for all the details and explanations. you guys are great
Very greatful for this video! I landed terrible wrong on my knee during a bouldering fall and I've got the exact symptoms displayed here. I'll definitely be doing these exercises to help get my range of motion back. Thank you gentlemen, so much!
Came across your video since I got a root tear on my left meniscus, have been doing your exercises and the pain went away. I could even run a 5k around my neighborhood last week with little to no pain.
Thank you so much for showing us all these exercises to get our knees heal without surgery.
How long did it take you my guy?
Always lovely to read about successful recoveries from these frustrating injuries!
I feel like the sharp pain I get when I put pressure down to run after I've sat for a while is all located on the lateral side and down my leg, also my leg is more stiff and tight, does this even sound like a meniscus tear? I'm so confused
@@mikemacedo532 how are you now
Great instructional tips and demo by Brad & Bob to fix our knee, leg and strengthen limbs below waist!! Body heals slowly, we got to adjust and get along with these exercises good for everybody. Grateful for that video, Many thanks B & B👍
Awesome video. Thank you both soo much...I've already done some and its helping...mine is on the right leg. Y'all have a blessed day
You both are miracle workers. Thanks for instantly removing months of pain with the towel.

I had meniscus tear repair surgery about 3 years ago. For the first six months, I still had pain but after that, it's been feeling great. No pain at all but my other knee feels like it's out now.😢
Excellent thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Thank you very much. This has been very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
I really appreciate you gentlemen
Thank you for this very informative video! I don’t go to ortho & get an MRI until next week but this just solidified what I already knew.. BUT! I am excited to try the exercises & getting on the road to recovery.
You guys are great
You guys are awesome
thanks guys ... excellent video
You’re welcome!
Hi guys ,
I I really appreciate all the effort you put into videos for us. Fantastic!
I have a question specific to the knee; if your knee can’t lock back, standing straight up, most of the time and sometimes it can straighten more but there is an audible click when it does, what would be the root problem and what sort of specialist would be best able to help ?
Do these guys even reply and answer questions? I'm unsubscribing.
Thank you sooo much
You two are awsome
Thank you guys!!
Ps..in 15mins you helped get rid of a horrible pain and I can now walk properly 💙
Thankyou!!
Thanks guys
Good video. And Bob/Brad can you do a video on McKinsey method lumbar strengthening/stretching ? I can’t go to PT right now but would like to do some home therapy.
I'm imagining the pain whilst watching their explanation..
Thanks for the update by the way
Thank you!
Hey guys great vid ive hard bad pain for 6 months but in the last few weeks ive been of work resting and better. I i do the excersizes at 12:14 both knees crackle loud.
Thanks!
It's quite sad that people have to self-diagnose their own conditions because access to a doctor or hospital in a first world country can make an average working-class person bankruptcy... I'm so relieved I live in a country with public healthcare and second chances.
no one is going bankrupt in the usa for getting a meniscus tear diagnosed. you are uninformed.
@@johnbrown81 There's still a lot of people who can't afford it though.
I can see my doctor within a week once I make an appointment free of charge?? We're are u living??
For real, america is a place of opportunity but then again it sucks
Good for you jackass. All the innovation comes from companies and not the government. You also have to wait months for basic services. Your economy is likely stagnant and have negative interest rates
I’ve done something to the knee I had ACL surgery on 3 years ago. It’s very painful, unstable and is making horrible clicking noises so I know something isn’t right, but I have a feeling it’s my meniscus because it doesn’t feel the same as when I ruptured my ACL. These tests hurt, but reassured me it might not be too much of a bad tear if that’s what I’ve done… will wait to see what the doctor says.
What ended up happening? I also had acl surgery 3 years ago and yesterday I was playing football and was taking hard cuts. I didn’t feel sudden pain but I just noticed my knee started to feel weak so I chilled out. My knee hurt a little but today it was hurt a bit more and it swell up a little. The pain is on the interior and I’m hoping I didn’t tear anything because knee injuries scare the outta me after my acl. I tested if I could cut and jumping from knee to knee and and have full mobility. Nothing feels unstable or week but I was laying down for a while and when I was walking it felt pretty weird. I’m just icing it rn but I’m really scared I really hope I didn’t tear it.
Thank you Sirs👌
Lol
Would love to see these guys in a movie or show lol they’re so fun. Love their personalities
Lol
Guys just a few lil massages and my knee isnt popping anymore! I don’t know what I did but your videos are always helpful ☺️
If you can do tik tok anyone can!
No but in all seriousness, I love you informative channel and I am an aspiring physical therapist.
Lol
I tried doing those things with my right knee only to be in horrible pain! Can hardly walk with my right knee unless I put on a Futuro stretch knee brace which helps the pain.how long will this pain last Guys? I need help asap🥺
Oh and Ty for explaining everything as a awesome time
Thank you. God bless you. Just today the Dr told me I need a knee replacement because pain, occasionally lack of my right knee and I unable to walk without support. I feel sad and scary, but God is wonderful and I found this video. I'll follow yours recommendations.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Best of luck!
Thanks from Australia
Thanks for watching!
Thanks
I've complained about knee pain since I was five and I finally got diagnosed with a meniscus tear in my left knee at twenty five. I'm probably looking at surgery because it has been affecting my sleep as of recent
Dang so it can last that long ?
Also, B&B, do you have a series on arthritis? Early in my experience and wanting to do useful exercises to improve range of motion and pain management. Even just making a playlist to address this would be helpful since you include so many exercises while addressing specific conditions. Thanks!
Hi! Just a tip for you; which I hope will work as well for you, as it has done for me!🤗.
I've suffered with 'Chronic Osteoarthritis' in my Spine & all Joints;- also a very small patch of Osteoporosis{Spinal} for approx' 42Years! I've tried all sorts of 'Remedies' that did not give any relief. I was going to try the 'cbd' Oil; albeit, I couldn't take it, as I'm a 'Whole~Life Warfarin User'. A few Months ago, it was suggested to me, that 'Gluten' is the worst perpetrator of the serious pain~ inducing detrimental suffering for anyone with this disease. (Gluten is,as I say 'The Devil's spawn'~to Arthritis......!👿!) SO! Since I eliminated Gluten from my diet (I eat really healthily;~
Fruit;Salad;Veg;Fish;Chicken;
nuts;Seeds etc) Within a WEEK I had reduced pain....& by 3-4wks I had an improvement of 95% total pain~FREE! It is one of the easiest to control as there is always alternative Gluten-Free products as Bread; Flour etc.
Also Restaurants are beginning to cater with GF Meals & incorporate this option into their Menus!!
Please🙏🏻 try it; you cannot lose out really. Try Bread initially(White Bread is the worst!👿!) then move onto Pasta(2nd👿worst!) & gradually you can level out to a comfortable way of eating. Don't get me wrong;~I still miss my burnt toast & burnt crispy french stick crusts!😢! But the~ mostly....'Pain~Free' Life is worth the loss!! I really do hope you will benefit:~pass the tip on so that others may find some relief. Others do NOT understand the invisible, yet horrendous pain, that Arthritis Sufferers endure!😢😫🤐!
Big h🤗gs to all Sufferers. Just TRY it!!😑. Rosie🦓{UK}

Watching this video let’s me know I definitely have a torn a meniscus in my left knee 😭
Hello Bob and brad very interesting bcoz im suffering right now for miniscus tear pls pls help me if it's still necessary for surgery
At my age.... everything hurts daily.....no matter what.
I don't need to do these to induce more pain...lol.
Your videos SOOO HELPFUL! I'm a single mom, I have to get back to work. 😱
I think I would watch these guys explain anything
. thank you . the third exrcise is impossible and hurts so much . but i will give it time to heal . i hit my kneee when on the bus .
I would love that mattress!
No
I get the locking and pain with my elbow. Is it possible to have the issue shown in this video but for your elbow?
Hello sir! You both are doing great job to heal people in a very light and naughty way! Thanks...my question is how long it takes to heal meniscus.i know that it depends on which stage but roughly 3 months? 2 years? Waiting for your answer sir...
Скажите пожалуйста как вы сейчас? Вылечились без операции? У меня такая проблема год хромаю не лучше не хуже
I'm a physiotherapy student in Jamaica. Where have you guys been when I was doing my clinical rotations?
I can run, lunge, box jump and squat but as soon as I get on my bike my knee starts to pain. I originally thought it was my ITB but it wasn't.... I'm lost but thanks for the videos B and B
Had an issue with mine for a while now and I'm only 22, going into surgery in a week since it's always locking up, been like that for like 2 years.
I would like it if you show which name goes with which test.
Thanks Still works. Right knee - geesh
Hi B&B, Can you do a series or session that will work all body as a self massage, stretches to use pre or post work out? Thanks!
Thank you for the great information! I have a complete radial tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus junction with the posterior root with slight extrusion of the meniscus joint. This is info from my MRI. I was sprinting and heard a pop. It was awful! Happened right b4 Thanksgiving 2019 and was in therapy up until March when quarantine began. Was to have surgery in Feb. but was afraid of side effects, mainly onset of arthritis, which I don't have and doctor thought my range was too good for surgery, but said he would schedule it whenever I decide to move forward. Have had pain since the injury occurred. However, back of knee hurts terribly when leg is stretched straight out in front of me. Ex. sitting in recliner...so much pain occurs and I have to keep pillow under it, same occurs when in bed. I can do excercises, squats and workouts, but I have to modify things and I hurt daily. Should I have surgery or wait it out? You mentioned in first video on meniscus issues that if no locking is occurring probably don't have surgery bc knee will be the same. Please advise. Surgery or no surgery?
Also, that mattress may help me with the pain I'm having with my knee. I also have a shoulder injury and I just watched one of your videos on possible injuries and I think it's the rotator or clavicle problem. I need that mattress and your advice on knee surgery. Thanks!
Well, I’m not our favorite physical therapists, but I can tell you about what caused the pain behind my knee, I had very bad pain and swelling so I saw the doctor. She ordered an ultrasound and discovered that I had what is called. Bakers cyst behind my knee. You can feel it behind your knee., along with the pain plus a sensation of pins and needles
Hopefully, you're feeling better soon
do the surgery they do it to me now I go back to sports
Which doctor do I see to get checked?
Very well explained - Thanks! Only the last lying down rotational test hurts with me. I'm doing lots of strengthening so see what happens.
Sounds great, glad we could help!
@@BobandBrad Thanks once again! Actually I'm able to do all of your self tests including the lying down knee rotation so I think I'm ok and no torn cartilage. I will just concentrate on leg strengthening exercises and hope for the best! As you say it's good to test the good side first so you know what it should feel like before you test the bad side.
My pain is in my inner knee, I get a pocket of swelling :(
The older I get the more often I come to this channel.
Just recently started playing golf and disc golf.... my inner left knee( right side of my left knee) just ached or a muscle behind my left knee became pulled somehow waking me up 2 in the morning.... meaning I was asleep when I became aware of this pain...I played with it for awhile doesn’t seem extreme but I know that there’s a difference in the back of my left knee as of right now.. I’m only 20 years old. Any information that anyone might know plzzzzz let me know what should I do as well. Thank you very much.
What if you feel and hear almost like a creaky sounds or tearing sound when walking up the stairs or when going down a little bit higher of a stair and its painful and gives out
Hi Bob and Brad
I had knee pain for 14 months now.
I had about 50cc of fluid asperated out of knee.
The first surgeon recommended removing the meniscus.
The second surgeon said leave it alone.
I had to give up my job due to pain and discomfort.
I had an MRI done on my right knee and it showed up a torn meniscus.
After the MRI, the knee slowly felt better each day.
What are your thoughts on magnetics from the MRI having healing benefits?
my hip pain caused my leg to over compensate when I walk now my hip is pain free but my knee cant wait bare for a second without severe pain I dont know what I have done Do you have any advise to fix it please
I can do all your tests without pain, what causes me pain is if I’m laying in the hip adductor position and then bend my knee I feel pain from the weight of my leg torquing during bend articulation
My knee doesn't hurt.. It just feels like something tearing or stretched uncomfortably.. When i did the tests there was very little pain in the knee.. None of the exercises were painfull at all.. But while performing them i had the same tearing feeling.. It scares me.. I started feeling like this two weeks before, when i just started to workout and it was a very mild beginner level workout.. Now im completely avoiding lower body workout where any type of squats or lunges are included.. Im going to try these exercises and hope to get recover soon.. Thank you so much for such informative video
any update?
It could be one of the ligaments
Oh no! I'm late to the party!!! I need a mattress.
But I could really use some kinesthetic tape & maybe a PT😬
Thank you very much
Is it possible to have meniscus tear and chondromallacia at the same time because I think i have syndromes of both
Great
Hi do you have sharp pain when fully extending the knee with a meniscus tear.
with pain in the medial meniscus should I go to a physical therapist, a chiropractor, or an MD?
Hi guys. I don't get any pain except when I bend forward to wash my feet when it give way. I did an exercise on my front, lifting my leg up with a bent knee and it has been a problem ever since. I can squat, do leg raises, side laying exercises til I'm blue in the face. No improvement. But no worse either. 😳 any ideas?
Brad, when discussing the duck walk, mentioned someone he helped by giving them exercises that helped in healing. Would it be possible to get a list of those exercises or maybe another video? Much thanks!
It might be the ones they listed in the second half of the video if you watched it all. Some of those you can do with bands or ankle weights when your ready and the one where you lay prone you can do reverse hyperextensions to make it more advanced
@@ManuelRodriguez-bf2us Yeah could be. I read about another person who used ankle weights to actually create scar tissue that mimicked cartilage. Crazy I know.
Bob an Brad how do I do these things if I don't have balance I've been told by home therapist nurse that I might have that tear I use a cane both knees hurt I already feel bone on bone I can't lay on the floor either
Could you please add more info about the leg that (slightly) feels that you can't fully extend? This is a symptom of torn meniscus and/or torn cruciate ligament? How can we make the differentiation?
These tests were negative for me.
Thanks
All of these tests you've shown would be painful with patellar tendon injury too or patellar tracking issue? How to differentiate then?
Yes it's very sad that I have what I think is a very bad meniscus injury and I cannot be seen by a Dr until November. So now I have to diagnose and self treat myself.
Where exactly do you feel the pain because I’m wondering too until I see a pt. Does your knee make clicking sounds?
Doc says
There is a radial tear at the anterior body of the lateral meniscus at the inner margin.
Can someone please explain which zone my tear is and will it heal?
what's constant pressure with no pain on the back of the knee mean?
Was having a pain while bending or extending the knee but didn’t feel any pain doing what you showed, is there any chance of tear??
my knee is throbbing watching these exercises
Nice group of tests. No standing possible on that injured leg to try them out. No straightening without major pain. No balancing on pillows in bed without pain. Crutches to the bathroom is exhausting. MRI this afternoon. I hope they figure out something.. actual damage or arthritis flare.
Sir i really need your help... Pls help me with this when I did the second test which was to rotate the knee on 5 degree it hurted in my inner knee
How long does healing usually take if it is minor tear?
