    Watched it all, did all the exercises, no pain. Been 53 days since weird injury. Walking on a side hill. Left leg higher, felt confusing pain on left knee. Crutches for a month. Exercising for past 20 days. Doing better. Your exercises, showing no pain, plus the "you do not need surgery" comment, makes me feel better. Thankyou guys, excellent video. Truly appreciate it. Now to stop pretending Jack Lalanne was in great shape just by watching TV. Doesn't work!

    You guys are just the best. Your videos are always here for me and are an amazing supplement (in many cases more informative as to how to go about rehabiliting an injury) than my actual physiotherapist - although both are great. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge in this field - and your dad-jokes, those are off the charts good too.

    I’ve done something to the knee I had ACL surgery on 3 years ago. It’s very painful, unstable and is making horrible clicking noises so I know something isn’t right, but I have a feeling it’s my meniscus because it doesn’t feel the same as when I ruptured my ACL. These tests hurt, but reassured me it might not be too much of a bad tear if that’s what I’ve done… will wait to see what the doctor says.

    • @Isagiyochi395
      @Isagiyochi395 Před rokem

      What ended up happening? I also had acl surgery 3 years ago and yesterday I was playing football and was taking hard cuts. I didn’t feel sudden pain but I just noticed my knee started to feel weak so I chilled out. My knee hurt a little but today it was hurt a bit more and it swell up a little. The pain is on the interior and I’m hoping I didn’t tear anything because knee injuries scare the outta me after my acl. I tested if I could cut and jumping from knee to knee and and have full mobility. Nothing feels unstable or week but I was laying down for a while and when I was walking it felt pretty weird. I’m just icing it rn but I’m really scared I really hope I didn’t tear it.

      Hi! Just a tip for you; which I hope will work as well for you, as it has done for me!🤗.
      I've suffered with 'Chronic Osteoarthritis' in my Spine & all Joints;- also a very small patch of Osteoporosis{Spinal} for approx' 42Years! I've tried all sorts of 'Remedies' that did not give any relief. I was going to try the 'cbd' Oil; albeit, I couldn't take it, as I'm a 'Whole~Life Warfarin User'. A few Months ago, it was suggested to me, that 'Gluten' is the worst perpetrator of the serious pain~ inducing detrimental suffering for anyone with this disease. (Gluten is,as I say 'The Devil's spawn'~to Arthritis......!👿!) SO! Since I eliminated Gluten from my diet (I eat really healthily;~
      Fruit;Salad;Veg;Fish;Chicken;
      nuts;Seeds etc) Within a WEEK I had reduced pain....& by 3-4wks I had an improvement of 95% total pain~FREE! It is one of the easiest to control as there is always alternative Gluten-Free products as Bread; Flour etc.
      Also Restaurants are beginning to cater with GF Meals & incorporate this option into their Menus!!
      Please🙏🏻 try it; you cannot lose out really. Try Bread initially(White Bread is the worst!👿!) then move onto Pasta(2nd👿worst!) & gradually you can level out to a comfortable way of eating. Don't get me wrong;~I still miss my burnt toast & burnt crispy french stick crusts!😢! But the~ mostly....'Pain~Free' Life is worth the loss!! I really do hope you will benefit:~pass the tip on so that others may find some relief. Others do NOT understand the invisible, yet horrendous pain, that Arthritis Sufferers endure!😢😫🤐!
      Big h🤗gs to all Sufferers. Just TRY it!!😑. Rosie🦓{UK}

    Thank you for the great information! I have a complete radial tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus junction with the posterior root with slight extrusion of the meniscus joint. This is info from my MRI. I was sprinting and heard a pop. It was awful! Happened right b4 Thanksgiving 2019 and was in therapy up until March when quarantine began. Was to have surgery in Feb. but was afraid of side effects, mainly onset of arthritis, which I don't have and doctor thought my range was too good for surgery, but said he would schedule it whenever I decide to move forward. Have had pain since the injury occurred. However, back of knee hurts terribly when leg is stretched straight out in front of me. Ex. sitting in recliner...so much pain occurs and I have to keep pillow under it, same occurs when in bed. I can do excercises, squats and workouts, but I have to modify things and I hurt daily. Should I have surgery or wait it out? You mentioned in first video on meniscus issues that if no locking is occurring probably don't have surgery bc knee will be the same. Please advise. Surgery or no surgery?
    Also, that mattress may help me with the pain I'm having with my knee. I also have a shoulder injury and I just watched one of your videos on possible injuries and I think it's the rotator or clavicle problem. I need that mattress and your advice on knee surgery. Thanks!

    Hi Bob and Brad
    I had knee pain for 14 months now.
    I had about 50cc of fluid asperated out of knee.
    The first surgeon recommended removing the meniscus.
    The second surgeon said leave it alone.
    I had to give up my job due to pain and discomfort.
    I had an MRI done on my right knee and it showed up a torn meniscus.
    After the MRI, the knee slowly felt better each day.
    What are your thoughts on magnetics from the MRI having healing benefits?

    I can do all your tests without pain, what causes me pain is if I’m laying in the hip adductor position and then bend my knee I feel pain from the weight of my leg torquing during bend articulation

    My knee doesn't hurt.. It just feels like something tearing or stretched uncomfortably.. When i did the tests there was very little pain in the knee.. None of the exercises were painfull at all.. But while performing them i had the same tearing feeling.. It scares me.. I started feeling like this two weeks before, when i just started to workout and it was a very mild beginner level workout.. Now im completely avoiding lower body workout where any type of squats or lunges are included.. Im going to try these exercises and hope to get recover soon.. Thank you so much for such informative video

    Hi guys. I don't get any pain except when I bend forward to wash my feet when it give way. I did an exercise on my front, lifting my leg up with a bent knee and it has been a problem ever since. I can squat, do leg raises, side laying exercises til I'm blue in the face. No improvement. But no worse either. 😳 any ideas?

    Brad, when discussing the duck walk, mentioned someone he helped by giving them exercises that helped in healing. Would it be possible to get a list of those exercises or maybe another video? Much thanks!

      @ManuelRodriguez-bf2us Před 3 lety +1

      It might be the ones they listed in the second half of the video if you watched it all. Some of those you can do with bands or ankle weights when your ready and the one where you lay prone you can do reverse hyperextensions to make it more advanced

      @@ManuelRodriguez-bf2us Yeah could be. I read about another person who used ankle weights to actually create scar tissue that mimicked cartilage. Crazy I know.

    Could you please add more info about the leg that (slightly) feels that you can't fully extend? This is a symptom of torn meniscus and/or torn cruciate ligament? How can we make the differentiation?
    These tests were negative for me.
    Thanks

  • @Stavraetina
    @Stavraetina Před 2 lety

    All of these tests you've shown would be painful with patellar tendon injury too or patellar tracking issue? How to differentiate then?

  • @theresesimmons1747
    @theresesimmons1747 Před rokem

    Yes it's very sad that I have what I think is a very bad meniscus injury and I cannot be seen by a Dr until November. So now I have to diagnose and self treat myself.

    There is a radial tear at the anterior body of the lateral meniscus at the inner margin.
    Can someone please explain which zone my tear is and will it heal?

    Nice group of tests. No standing possible on that injured leg to try them out. No straightening without major pain. No balancing on pillows in bed without pain. Crutches to the bathroom is exhausting. MRI this afternoon. I hope they figure out something.. actual damage or arthritis flare.
