The first time Death Adder dies, his voice line "Daaayyyuummm" is sampled from Raphael's frustration from Casey Jones escaping in the first Turtles movie. The second time he dies when he falls off with Gilius, his scream is sampled from the policeofficer that falls to his death from the helicopter in Rambo: First Blood. Funny how they used those sounds :)

Virtua Racing and the original Columns 2 (which only was released on the Saturn after the Arcace-Version). As simply put, it's one of the finest Beat 'Em Ups ever produced! Genuinely baffling this year marks the very first time it's being officially released outside of arcades.. 1 Up Cabinet is nice, but this seriously needs a digital release (Or a physical in a Golden Axe Collection would be beyond measure!) on modern platforms to really make it available to the largest audience possible! That said this is one heck of a crypto-masterpiece i had NO friggin clue this existed and that late afternoon many years ago that i happen to stumble upon it while searching videos for good mame games on youtube i was SHOCKED i just couldnt believe my eyes LITTERALY i was also stunned by the year of its release the first game that looks primitive compared to this had only been out 3-4 years earlier..i just couldnt believe that. I can only imagine the feeling of walking as a kid in 1992 in an arcade place and seeing and playing this all the while comparing its graphical power with your sega genesis or snes bk at home MINDBLOWING! Mame is a treasure and im lucky to have it as many others do but rly no port of this SEGA...? Im confused probably a copyright issue or smth entirely else i guess we'll never know the reason but it rly is a crime for this not to have been ported anywhere.
PS: i'll take it up a notch and say this imagine this game its style and art upscaled for a dreamcast release...holy fuckballs now that would ve been awesome.

I played this for the first time a couple months back. It was at Mikado, a great retro arcade here in Tokyo. Never even knew about it before. But as a fan of the series, I dug it a lot.
It’s funny, though, how the centaur girl’s legs kinda disappear when riding mounts.

Fantastic game. I did a play through on my channel using Mame. Such a shame this game never got a Saturn release, or even a Dreamcast release. With all of the Sega compilations that have come out over the recent years, this would have been a great addition. I really feel for those that own this PCB, though...like Game Sack Joe. With that well known issue, this REALLY needs to get a home port on the current gen systems.

This and the original were the best in the series for me. Poor Gilius. He was my main in the 2 home console games released. Too bad in GA3 (my least favorite in the series) they didn't have a character similar to Gilius playable. While he wasn't technically playable in physical attacks but magic in this, the fact that he was the hero that saved the day and ended the reign of Death Adder was symbolic. This is probably my favorite arcade of all time with the visuals, characters, music, mounts, multiple paths, character abilities and 4 players. This is a must.

I remember playing this master piece, in the arcades in Chinatown, here in NY. I spent countless hours playing this game, and I loved every minute of it. I was sad that Sega never released it for any of the home consoles. But I still play it nowadays, via emulation, on my PC. Its still one of the best games Sega ever made. They should definitely come out with a sequel, to this game. Hey, it took Sega 25/30 years to make a sequel to Streets of rage. Maybe golden axe will be next? I'm hoping.

Of course games like this are emulated but, the hardware and all the console content are from personal ownership. Without help, you can literally go broke doing this.

This is my all time favorite video-game, and shame that it never got an official console release. A mall close to where I am had the game once upon a time, and just got it again in a new arcade which recently opened up inside of it too. I also used to have the PCB to it for use in my Jamma arcade cabinet, which I sold when I got my Mame machine. But at least there is now an official way to play it at home via the Arcade 1Up, which is great though. That of which also has the original Golden Axe on it, in addition to the other games mentioned in this video as well. There's also a way to use your magic on the first Death Adder battle, which is to get him into the air after you attack him, and do so just before he's back on the ground too.
