Thanks for this beautiful wonderful lessen . It made me cry . I had never heard that he helps us through our darkness but who helps him through his darkness ? That he looked on us all of us he seed and we help him through his darkness because he sees us and is doing this for his love for us . Knowing what it will mean for us. I’m going to remember this at Easter and always . That in his offer I have part and hold a place within his heart . Those words will mean so much to me now and all of us . Thank you for that most profound teaching .

Thank you for this take on our Savior. I've been struggling with how to write to a family member that's in jail.
This gave me the reminders of the attitudes I need to have.

This was an inspiring episode for me. I received so much personal revelation. D&C 3 - maybe Jesus used the term “man” because Joseph acted like a “natural man” and then was addressed as “You” to remind him of his true identity. A child of God - and then “Joseph “ because he will always be a beloved son. Joseph had to have an agonizing moment of bitter remorse so as to never make the same mistake again. Experiencing bitter remorse has helped me understand how redemptive love feels and I have no desire to ever do it again ❤

We've been following along with watching the chosen with our family. Sometimes we watch 2 episodes, bit mostly one episode a night. Sometimes I need a couple days in between because there's so much to ingest, or we know what's coming up and it's hard to watch. I savor our Savior.

Thanks you two that we could take you as teachers along on our mission to deepen our faith in Jesus Christ. You have helped us tremendously! Our 1 year India visa expired. So we were sent to Indonesia but that visa wasn't ready either so they sent us to a small country called Timor-Leste to wait. I know, we hadn't heard of it either but we're here and we love these people! We have a "twig" not hardly even a branch of 26 members. These are the prophesied people on the isles of the sea the Lord has not forgotten and is going to gather them in. I wish I could post a picture of the 30 young adults who have signed up to come to our free English course. They are pure and prepared. This country is 90% Catholic. I believe its time is now.

Thank you. These teachings have helped me remember how important my Savior is. I have a lot of fear in my life and usually, Jesus is the only Person who can make me feel better.
I don't know if that discounts my faith because I have selfish reasons for sticking with Jesus, but at least I'm honest!

This was a really great podcast. I really learned a lot. I loved the story about the dream, but it brought up some questions. I don't quite know how to ask this without sounding like a jerk, but at what point does someone just become a professional victim? We all have wounds and idiosyncrasies stemming from our past. Why does it seem like some people get a pass while others have to get over their issues? It seems a little bit like Jesus explaining to you that if the woman with an issue of blood 12 years is a real jerk, then here's why....as opposed to healing her so you don't have to try and deal better with her being a jerk. I can't articulate this very well, but maybe you can understand what I mean.
I guess that this hits a bit of a nerve with me because I have a family member who has acted out in awful ways and has really impacted my life in a negative way and the lives of others in a negative way. People excuse it away by saying that this person had a hard childhood or whatever. Yet we are expected to move on from all the hurt that we have experienced, largely at this person's hand. It is just hard and confusing 😢

    • @talkingscripture
      @talkingscripture  Před měsícem +5

I would still ask: do you see him or her or do you see “it?” There is a time to defend our families even into bloodshed as the Lord told Nephi. There’s also a time to bury our weapons as the anti-Nephi Lehi’s did. There’s a time to rebuke with sharpness, and there’s a time to forgive. The savior will help us know exactly what to do. But we will never qualify for his help until we see the person and not the behavior.

Explaining that gethsemane was Jesus personally experiencing each of us finally explains the How of Enos query. It was a punishing experience and That was the ‘stripes by which we can be healed‘
It was not Jesus being vicariously arbitrarily punished but a punishing event to know us.

  • @silverfoxidm

The fact u were given a very insightful dream of ur nemesis is pretty rare -> dc 6.16; especially to have the culprit of ur consternation confirm it back to u
Yet, u noted u didn’t seem to know what to do with it ? We know Jesus knows what to do w/ the knowledge He has of us !
Mortals have a difficult time learning to take initiative even as Oliver Cowdery required a revelation to help him realize he had a revelation (dc 6)! Interesting!

Does the "it" you talk about at 14:30 refer to the woman or to the situation and actions of the woman? Does the original language offer any clarification?

    • @talkingscripture

I used that word to illustrate that we often see the actions, the outward; rather than the person.
