    Me again. The usefulness of your video made me want to suggest that you either do a whole series on Beginners' Mistakes, or that you incorporate the mistakes that beginners make into every tutorial video you do. So, please consider that a suggestion!

    Good explanation, but you really should consider showing the techniques from multiple angles. Here a view from ukes back would have been beneficial to drive the poont home.

    Great video as always Shintaro Sensei, that "wrong pull" can happen even in people who been training for a while (Not beginners), I think is a little misconception in some Judokas, I use that pull to the front searching for the backwards reaction of Uke... Then I can go with my O-soto, but it can take a while to master that... Amazing advice!! I'll be checking my Kohais...

    • @Shigashi84
      @Shigashi84  Před 4 lety +2

      Agreed. Good point! If you have intentions to look for a reaction backwards, then Yes!

    Great stuff. Many thanks for this and your channel.
    I was watching a Yamashita video yesterday in which he used a slightly different method to control the head - pushing up with his lapel hand to raise Uke's chin. My Sensei also uses this kind of idea, but emphasizes more of a 'punch' upwards with the lapel hand. Regardless, it seems that you all agree that controlling the head is vital. Thanks again.

    • @nicocontreras5366
      @nicocontreras5366 Před 4 lety +3

      That is the best way against taller people, my sensei uses that method too.

    • @Shigashi84
      @Shigashi84  Před 4 lety +3

      Very true. The yamashita osoto where he punches the chin is amazing for RvL (kenkayotsu or right vs left).

    There is no problem with pulling.If its done to get a reaction of uke.If i pull and my oponnent reflex is in the opposite direction than this will add to my Osoto.

    Bro for a series idea, you should upload No Gi Judo techniques

  • @bombastikderteutone6858

    Youre tips are super usefull for me in Terms of principles!
    Principle Shown Here: „control the head with o soto“.
    HOW you control the Head however is Not a 100% clear for me.
    Are you pushing with the gi into her chin Almost like a punch with your ellbow up?
    Ronda rousey showed a version Where you kuszhushied your uke towards your head sideways - sleeve hand watches the clock, lapel hand „answers the phone“.
    I guess my Point is: could you maybe show the detail of your Right Hand?
    Thanks in advance!:)

      Use your forearm to drive in a single neck-tie instead of the collar grip? The other hand is still fine at the elbow/wrist without the gi
