About MLB.com:
Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig announced on January 19, 2000, that the 30 Major League club owners voted unanimously to centralize all of Baseball's internet operations into an independent technology company. Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) was formed and charged with developing, building and managing the most comprehensive baseball experience available on the internet. In August 2002, MLB.com streamed the first-ever live, full length MLB game when the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees faced off at Yankee Stadium. Since that time, millions of baseball fans around the world have subscribed to MLB.TV, the live video streaming product that airs every game in HD to nearly 400 different devices. MLB.com also provides an array of mobile apps for fans to choose from, including At Bat, the highest-grossing iOS sports app of all-time. MLB.com features a stable of club beat reporters and award-winning national columnists, the largest contingent of baseball reporters under one roof, who deliver over 100 original articles every day. MLB.com also offers extensive historical information and footage, online ticket sales, official baseball merchandise, authenticated memorabilia and collectibles and fantasy games.

I’m English, live in England.
Never played baseball in my life but my days do I love Ichiro…
Ichiro's first career MLB game (2001): Mariners beat A's, 5-4.
Ichiro's final career MLB game (2019): Mariners beat A's, 5-4.
Ichiro won the American League batting title, the AL Rookie of the Year Award and the AL MVP Award in 2001, and he remains the only player in MLB history to win all three in his first season.
Ichiro holds the record for most hits in a single season. A record that stood for 84 years before Ichiro broke it.
Ichiro is the only person to ever have 10 straight years of gold gloves and 200 hits in each season. Pete Rose is the only other player to ever have 10 years of 200 hits but it took him 15 years to do it.
Ichiro started in 10 straight All-Star Games.
Ichiro is the only one to ever hit an Inside-the-Park-Homerun in an All-Star Game. He was also the MVP of that game.
Ichiro has hits against every MLB team.
There are also a great slew of records that Ichiro is in elite company with.
Based on his first 10 years in the MLB, his age 27-37 seasons, he is a no doubt that he is a lock for Cooperstown. While his production dropped some over his remaining years, keep in mind those were his age 38-45 seasons. That said, he holds an career average of .311.
He could hit. He could catch. He could throw. He could run. He was clutch. One of the best of all time.
He should be unanimous when he gets inducted into Cooperstown.
"Chicks who dig home runs aren't the ones who appeal to me. I think there's sexiness in infield hits because they require technique than with my brute strength. Then, every now and then, just to show I can do that, too, I might flirt a little by hitting one out."

日本語の「走攻守」は、イチローが生まれるのをずっと待ってたのかな。
彼のための言葉のようだな。
ICHIRO is the legend; not only in Japan, but also in the world
I teared up. Always be my favorite player
I was there on Opening Day in 2001. Appropriately he got his first major-league hit by way of a hard grounder into centerfield. And equally appropriate was the second: a perfectly placed bunt single. Ichiro is among the greatest five-tool players in baseball history, and by all accounts, one of the greatest teammates you could hope to have. Thank you, Ichiro!
Speaking on business side, if you kept the ticket stub, it’s worth 4000 bucks on eBay
@@victorle7693 Didn’t keep that one. My ex probably has those stubs. But I still have a bunch of 1995 playoff stubs. All three vs the Yankees, and all three vs the (then) Indians. Not for sale - but I still got ‘em. 🙂☮️
Amazing video.
日本の神様はシアトルにめちゃくちゃ愛れていたのがよくわかる。
Thank you Ichiro. Baseball is more than just a game in my family. I was 10 years old when he debut and I remember getting exited every time we’d listen or watch the mariners play and hearing Ichiro making a play or coming up at bat it’s something unexplainable. Thank you for all those memories.
Wow. This video is so cool and heartwarming.
How wonderful is the United States and the city of Seattle.
Thank you for welcoming Ichiro from Japan in 2001.
I’m not even a baseball fan and found this amazing.
Ichiro a Legend, future hall of fame.
I was there that night! It was incredible to see Ichiro inducted into the Mariner's Hall of Fame... unfortunately, the M's lost to the Guardians.
All around great player, happy he was a Mariner for all of those years. Thank you Ichiro for sharing your years with all of us Mariner Fans!!
Chills!!! Thank you Ichiro!!
Ichiro played the game the right way
Great movie!!! Thank you, Ichiro. I cannot appreciate too much having witnessed what you have done in the history of MLB.
Great player 👏❤️
Hero, winner, good man.
LEGEND
Ichiro!Ichiro!Ichiro!!
Grew up watching him and was a big time ichiro fan. But only now am I starting to realize the gravity of it all.
Thanks, Seattle
Even now, when I have a bit of a hard time, I still come to see this video. An invincible record left by a certain person. And the story of a little Asian who turned a barrage of taunts into a legendary frenzy. He changed even the ideal image of the sport of baseball. While I appreciate being Japanese like him, I also feel the pressure.
めちゃくちゃいい動画
Better be unanimous
Favorite player ever the 🐐 the man who carried Seattle on its back, and the mariners front office could never build a team around a guy with a career average of .311
🌻🙏

投げて、打って、守って、走れる選手
Kinda off topic, but that is one hell of an aspect ratio. I need a 32:9 monitor now.
