One of the best to do it on the mound in the 2000s and 2010s. He definitely deserved this. Thank you King Felix for being an inspiration to so many people not only in the Pacific NW but to kids all around the country and in Venezuela as well

Congrats King Felix! 🎉 its a proud feeling to have rooted for you as a Mariners fan....
Truly one of the greatest Mariners both as a player and a person. I can say personally he is one of the best humans ever. Two occasions i had the honor of interacting with King Felix, both where I worked at Lucky Strike in Bellevue.
First, there was a charity event with lots of Seattle pro players from all our teams and I as the bowling mechanic was running ragged making sure all the pinsetters ran without a flaw. During that night I got stuck playing guard in the VIP section where the autographed items were being kept while players were autographing, while trying to keep all the machines running and keeping non VIP's out I was running out of gas and King Felix came over to thank me for all I was doing and took the VIP badge from around his neck and autographed it and again thanked me for all I was doing.
Second, also working for Lucky Strike, King Felix was in the venue with his kids bowling. As on occasion with small children bowling the bowling ball didn't quite make it to the pin deck. Felix made sure that neither one of his kids rolled another ball and also waited till he just happened to catch me waking by to let me know all that cause he didn't want to see any possible damage to our machines, just from that respect I went and made sure he and his kids got another full game each one me. Respect like that really does not happen often any more in most bowling alleys.
He truly is King Felix.

Well this might have cut a few onions. Its true I've never been a Mariner fan but boy have I adored many Mariner players, and Felix is most certainly one of them. Fire and fun, very few were as fun to watch. In any sport. It was a privilege.

I’ve lived in IL my whole life but always loved the Mariners and they’re fans. King Felix was dominant and a shame he didn’t have more help at times because he would of had even better career numbers?! Congrats King Felix, well deserved to not only a great pitcher but role model. He gave his right arm to Seattle!

Felix looks like he's all Ready to go to Studio 54 and get down Saturday Night Fever. There's something to be said about a player these days that plays for 1 team his whole career that's puts him up there with Edgar show loyalty and fans appreciate that.
Boys derserve a night off after that but lets go get that series tomorrow if we can take 2 out of 3 with J.P out, That would be amazing. Also had I Sewald and I belive Kelenic last time we played them in Baltimore. We just had a very timely off day today.
Next on the Mariners HOF, Kyle Seager. Honorary mention, Julio Cruz, the original Mariner who has been with the franchise since its first season. in 1977 until he was traded to the White Sox in 1983

Long live the king. As a young Latino in Idaho who played baseball, Felix was one of my biggest role models growing up. Rushing home after practice to catch his starts was something I remember vividly. What a privilege it was to grow up with him as a Mariners franchise icon alongside Ichiro.
In short, Felix was incredible on the field, but his impact off the field was even bigger.
