Man I love Ichiro Suzuki. So happy he became and still is a Seattle Mariner. I was heartbroken when Seattle traded him to the Yankees. But I guess in a weird way that was our way of sharing him with the rest of MLB. So happy he came back home and is still such an integral part if this organization. He will get a title in Seattle. With the leadership we have in place now I feel like the Mariners are in the best hands they've ever been in. Jerry and Scott are a perfect team and they are doing this thing the right way. We will win a title sooner than some of you think. Go M's!!!!
Such an amazing player. So sad he never won a World Series
I agree, though I remind myself, Ichiro IS the World Series. :)
He still will as a special assistant. He'll get that title
Ichiro is a first ballot Hall Of Famer. I hope he gets in unanimously.
His professionalism is on a different level even within the best league in the world. I really hope some day somehow he would be able to win the championship with this team that he loves.
I dig that suit he's donning at 1:00 He wears that well!
Also, I didn't realize how much I missed those black long sleeve home uniforms from the early 2000s. If we make the playoffs, we definitely need to bring those back!
I know there’s strong competition, but to me, Ichiro is the greatest M of all time.
Ichiro and Cal Ripken will always be my favorite baseball players
🐐🐐🐐
Someone says 'Ichiro doesn't have enogh Base on Balls, so his OBP is not better than we thought.'
But in my opinion, the value of single and walk is different. If a fast runner is on first base, Ichiro's at-bat becomes even more important.
Unlike walk, single hit has possibility sending 1st base runner to 3rd.
We cannot evaluate him simply by OBP. He was a one of the greatest team player.
I agree. Walks are good for leadoff and maybe second, but getting hits consistently send runners in motion and enables the player themselves to reach second more often.
イチロー!!
I would like see another player come to MLB after playing 9 years in another professional league, be 27 and try to hit 3000 hits, have 10 consecutive 200 hit seasons, almost hit 300 ever year, get 10 consecutive gold gloves and break a 84 year old single season hit record. Ichiro Suzuki is a special player.
Come on put some ichiro in MLB22
The best player to ever play baseball period. If you are a manager of a team you want a player like Ichiro on your team.
if ichiro doesnt make the hall of fame, my respect for the mlb will be at a 0
Ichiro is John the Baptist, Ohtani is Jesus.
