    For Oogie Boogie his range - right at the end there - was a B4 down to an E1. He has gone higher and lower. His recent cover of _Jack's Lament_ I think he hit an F5 and he hit B0s in the _Halo_ cover and _Valhalla Calling_ , at the least. He touched on an A0 in the Imagine Dragon's cover of _Enemy_ . I think they should name the layer under the mantle in the Earth as the Castellucci Zone. Anybody that doesn't believe in dragons hasn't heard him sing! :)

    • @risperdude
      @risperdude Před 8 měsíci +8

      With a nearly 6 octave range the Castelucci zone reaches from the mantle to though the stratosphere. The man is "goals" for almost every male vocalist. Because he not only hits them, he does it with great tone and musicality. He vibrates the very soul of mankind.

      Geoff is not a dragon.
      He is a vampire. You can see his true nature in This Is Halloween. The reason he's so good at singing is, he's been practicing for the better part of five centuries.

    The descending notes that Geoff sang is called an arpeggio. Also, he has a 5 octave range. Truly amazing talent.

    I won't say that Geoff's a NORMAL human being.
    He's an EXTRAORDINARY person. He is fortunate in his natural range, he becomes unusual in taking the time to become a good singer, he becomes exceptional in deciding to take what he started with and working to extend it even further. It's the work, skill, patience and willpower that really makes him a vocal force to be reckoned with.

    Geoff's bro in law was Santa. Eli did the voice. Geoff is known as the Dragon Slayer for his vocal range, which is 5 octaves. That low note is a E1 subharmonic.

    You werent the only one who heard the deep back bit when you asked and that was definitely from the pits of hell at the end with an E1.

    The end note there is an E1. Geoff dropped three and 7/12 octaves in that quick rundown to it. He does something like that in a number of songs. Check out the Little Mermaid medley where he sings Ursula.
    I believe the lowest note he's hit in any VR or solo vids is B0. I don't know what his highest note is.

    In the movie, Oogie Boogie always spoke and sang in a very exaggerated manner and Geoff did a really good job of capturing that style.
    They all really did a good job of throwing themselves into the cartoony exaggeration of the characters.

    Some refer to them as geffquakes for a reason. I think he's actually can reach an A0 and I'm not completely sure but his highest on record is a F#5 (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
    As for who sings bass when Geoff is singing lead, they take turns I know Eli has done it in the past as well as J None. For their videos they occasionally will just layer him doing both parts.
    Now you can checkout their other Spooky songs like:
    Grim Grinning Ghosts
    This is Halloween
    Kidnap the Sandy Claws
    What's This
    Phantom of the Opera
    Hide and Seek (Ding Dong)
    Once Upon a Time
    That should get you started, sorry if I mentioned one you've already done.

  • @DavideBaroni
    @DavideBaroni Před 8 měsíci +11

    All of them have exceptional ranges. Think of J None, for example. He's now singing for the Navy, and he's singing BASS. 😁
    Eli has played bass while Geoff was taking the lead several times in the past, and I remember reading somewhere he went as low as an A1. And he's an excellent professional voice actor.
    Layne sure can sing bass as well.
    I don't yet know about how low Cesar can actually sing, but if you watch (and carefully listen) to their most recent release, "Hellfire", he plays air guitar at a point, and his high notes are INSANE.
    Earl can go insanely high, I don't know his low range though.
    That said, kudos for noticing the descending arpeggio. Not many reactors did. Ditto for the neck snap, I remember only a couple reactors "kinda noticing" it, and another one noted it and commented that they just killed someone right in front of everyone watching 😅😅.
    Can't wait to watch your reactions to Geoff's version of "Jack's Lament" and Voiceplay's rendition of "Hellfire" (from "Hunchback of Notre Dame"). 😁
    See you next time!

  • @SeliahK
    @SeliahK Před 8 měsíci +10

    Yep. Geoff is a beast - in the best way possible. ;) This man has a 5 octave range. I'm a low alto, and this BASS vocalist can go higher than I can!
    He dropped a B0 in the Halo cover, and I'm pretty sure he hit an F5 on his most recent solo cover (Jack's Lament).
    I'm stuck down here in the 3rd and 4th octaves, and Geoff here has subterranean reach and stratospheric reach all in one! 😂
    Plus he's also just an awesome human being. All of Voiceplay are, honestly. They're all wonderful vocalists, performers and people.
    The group is based in Florida, actually. They don't really tour anymore, but have switched over to video performances instead. They are the theater kids of acapella, and their videos show it.
    But yeah. Geoff the bass singer has a five octave range. You should really give his most recent solo cover a reaction if you're looking for Halloween content. I think you'd enjoy it.

  • @Genthar
    @Genthar Před 8 měsíci +7

    Geoff has around a 5 octave range top to bottom. It's a pretty exceptional range for any professional singer. Most pro singers cover somewhere around 2-3 octaves. Layne and J.None sometimes cover some of the bass lines when Geoff is busy, but they also use layers and will layer an additional tracks of Geoff or others in spots. That little trill Geoff has explained as "Layne doing some of his magic..." (e.g. it was modified in post).
