    Glad I found your channel! I just replaced my M104 engine due to someone putting bolts in the engine. My diff and transmission are leaking.

    Thanks for showing how to change the fluid. Certainly people will argue what type of fluid to use. Sticking with non-synthetic myself. Know the weight, but still deciding what brand.

    Good to see you point out that the filler plug needs to be removed first. I've known of a number of people who got burned by draining the oil and then being unable to get the filler plug out. Oops!

    I think the magnetic plugs are after market, not factory.

    Thank you for the video. My 1995 W124 E300 diesel SE has ASD (and it actually works, flashes " ! "). Looking into what oil to use. 75W-90 Valvoline Synthetic is readily available here (Long Island) and says for "limited slip" use. A 75W should flow better in the winter, but be no thinner than a 90 in summer. What do you suggest?

    Hey I have a question, my w124 is making a whining sound from the back, which keeps building up when I go faster. My local garage said it was the diff and so he said that he replaced the old one, but I still hear the whining noise. I cannot enjoy the ride. Can someone help me

    Hey Great Video & Information! Can ATF oil be used as a Differential oil?

    • @68Repair
      @68Repair Před 3 lety

      ATF is very thin for the Differential and wouldn't work on this Part. You only can use ATF for the Gearbox
