An unique way to measure the country's economic prosperity is counting the number of brand new cars running in the cities and towns. Turkey's majour cities have many new European cars. A Turkish man told me he had to have three cars for the members of family to be mobile. I had to tell him in the post-industrial economy, people chose to walk, bicycle or work from home. He laughed as he considered it impossible and unpractical for the distance he had to travel every day to make living. The Turkish economy is definitely growing. The time will come the people must revaluate the life values. It's always the same, financial stability in place makes people realise the spiritual needs. Whatever it is, Turkey is a secular Muslim country and on the way to improvement. The current inflationary economy will stabilise.

There should be books written on Western plot against Turkish development. I remember those and many others. So much so, unfortunate many local politicians dont the the development of their country and would rather turn back the clock, like moving back to Ataturk Airport. They rather see failure than their country competing against the elite.
This mentality needs to be changed.

I find it interesting how the AKP and its coalition pay so little respect or acknowledgememt to Atatürt, they attempt to diminish his accomplishments and almost wish they could erase him from the hearts of so many Turks.

There should be a balanced approach to all historic people. Their success and failures should be mentioned. Yes, has won the independence of Turkey by fighting foreign armies. He has also been prosecuted and caused the death of many for petty things like attire that people wear. At his time, the Western way of thinking was like a thing. If he was alive today, I dont he would have done what he has done back in the day. His thinking was shortsighted.
The current way of teaching and remembering Ataturk in Turkey is wrong. It has gone in the direction of Man worship.
The rest of the world has based on this stage, Turkiye is the Last. Turkey is even worse than Communist China and Chairman Mao in some areas.

Atatürt destroyed Turkey, only blind man cannot see it. If I told you now you have to uns chines letters to write and forbade you to use english and your mother language, you wouldnt be able. If I forbade it to all people, I would made a country incapable to live normal. Exactly that did this idiot to Turkey. He froze exploatation of resources for 100 years, destroyed economy. He was big big dictator. How on earth can somebody say anything good about him???

The video is nicely prepared but not real. I am Turkish and have been living here for 22 years. Our economy is not just bad, it is terrible. Corruption is increasing fastly and no one can stop it because the entire judicial system consists of peoole supported by the ruling party. Another turning point, the president of turkey assigned his son-in-law as the minister of economy, in fact the son-in-law was the last person in turkey who knows economy 😀. He was responsible for the economy for a long time, and he literally fucked up. Turkish lira is so worthless that turkish goverment is selling citizenship to foreigners in exchange for us dollars, regardless of whether they are mafia drug traffickers, murderers or innocent. For example, an mafia drug trafficker, who is escaping from Interpol, found in turkey. Interpol demanded the surrender of the culprit, but it was rejected. Because he paid money to get Turkish citizenship and escape Interpol….
