Beating Battletoads without taking damage is impressive enough, but it's amazing how quickly you did it. No cautious approach. You just zip through the levels and still not get hit.

I remember getting to the rolling wheel level only to have one of my brothers run by the nintendo and the vibrations glitched the game out 😢
I remember when this game came out like 30 year ago ... this game was so impressive... the varieties of level design, epic boss fight, very high difficulty on maze levels where require a lot of memory and fast reactions... and above all, the limited numbers of lives and retries....
I never have beaten this game (although one of my friends dit it... because he was more dedicated and better player than me... )
This run is truly impressive for me... one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen... because of the high amount of instant death scenario...

@@chee.rah.monurB it's mostly infamous for being a massive spike from stages 1 & 2. There are many stages like 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11 that are way harder
Lol @ Battletoads.
They made a game with (what was, at the time) a fantastic combat system...and yet 80% of the game is "speeder bike" and platforming segments that can only be beaten through memorization, or super-human reflexes. Played this a lot as a kid-well, the first 3 levels anyway-and never got past the first speeder section. Went back, with an emulator that let me save at any point, and still got so frustrated during the ice level that I just quit.
Thank you for allowing me to see the end of one of my favorite childhood games. I'm blown away that you set such an amazing record while chatting/commenting almost the entire time. With 100% of my focus, I can't pull off what I'm seeing here.
Thank you for your kind words, I am a specialist of this game so for me certain parts are easy and I can spend time talking to chat. Still what you see in this video requires a high skill gameplay for sure and not many people could achieve something like this.

I’ve never played Battletoads, but based on what I’ve heard about it, this guy is insanely good at it and spent a ridiculous amount of time practicing to make this run. Also, whenever I’ve played video games, if they get too difficult, I can’t say anything at all because I’ve been so focused on the game. This guy was just having regular conversation.
I have speedrun this game since 2013 so I am used to the game, but you're right I have spend a good amount of time playing this game in particular.
Daaaamnnn... I tortured this game as a kid (or it tortured me?) and never got past the underground kangaroo land race sequence. This run thru the whole game is just insane.

That ice stage was really something else. Much more nerve-wracking than the egg zone in my opinion. The whole run is truly incredible.
I felt accomplished beating the game 3 times with no warps, but this is just low-key insane! You are a beast, TMR!

Porco-Dio FIlm That’s misleading. Definitely you need to put in time, but also a bit of luck. Some people spend a lot of time unknowingly doing the practice wrong whereas others figure it out sooner. It all depends.
Definitely anyone would be better than if they didn’t practice.

Damn. Impressive. Battletoads is widely considered one of the toughest games, and I always thought the same back in the 90s when I used to play it. That and ghosts and goblins. Impossible.
Yep I agree, they are very difficult games, btw there is a harder version of Ghost and Goblins. The Japanese version starts on loop 2 and it is notoriously harder.
Hey. Did you know, at around 13min game time, instead of falling, if you wait until the last possible moment and jump to the right over the spikes you’ll land right next to the exit and probably shave a good amount of time off.
the bike stage is super cold and very hard to pass, nice run

This was like watching Yo Yo Ma playing a concerto on a Stradivarius flawlessly.
14:10 En esa parte hay un atajo haciendo un "dash-jump" hacia la derecha para alcanzar el final, es poca cosa pero para un speedrun puede hacer ganar unos 40 segundos, sin necesidad de esperar el resto de las serpientes.

I played this game for 3 years as a kid and never got passed the shuttle cars in like the 3rd or 4th scene. I could never beat them no matter how much i played, it's nice to finally see what else the game had all these years later. lol
Battletoads has to be the one game where those kidnapped really don't want to be rescued.

The hover bikes just always seemed like a gratuitous "fuck you" from the game. Even without that level, it's still hard af!

Wait what the fuck? I honestly had no clue there was another 3 or 4 snakes at the end of level 6. I've always just cleared the 3 vertical stacked spikes from the pink and yellow one, and gone straight for the "out" hole. Thought that'd be speed run shortcut for sure!
It is a speedrun shortcut, but this run was thought mainly for CZcams, you know people always complqin if you take a shortcut claiming that you are cheating and don't know how to beat the game without them.

All the games he's missing cost hundreds of dollars (or more). I've been on the lookout for a Flintstones cart for $250 or less, but the cheapest I've seen so far is ~$400.
I propose a new challenge. Play a toad together with a partner. One plays with his left hand, and the second plays only with his right hand, without warp and without damage :) Pass the game with one hand - cool, but not original) I have a friend, he only had 1 hand from birth, he also passed the toad more than once :)

Мы в детстве лет так в 9 (1999))на уровне 3-1 при прыжках слетали вниз при проходов платформ до мотоциклах(такой был китайский хак) потом нашли способ дошли до гонок от шара)))
We were 9 years old in childhood (1999))at level 3-1, when jumping, they flew down when passing platforms to motorcycles (this was a Chinese hack) then they found a way to get to the races from the ball)))
