- Well here it is. The first ever 100% dammageless run of Ninja Gaiden. In this run I complete the full game and take No damage from anything. Unlike other no damage runs I do NOT take a hit from the demon head. I'm able to kill the head before it hits me. Hope you enjoy and thank you for watching.

If Karl Jobst didn't make a video about this i would never found out, congratulations on making history!
#2.....you madlad. :D
#3 I enjoy watching madlads do what they do best. Thanks to Karl for pointing out this video. I hated playing Ninja Gaiden back in the day.
Same, idk how didn't heard about this before. Congratulations Slackanater!
Still wondering why that video was in my recommendations...
Karl allegedly committed the crime of defamation. Karl is not a nice bloke and needs to apologise for this.
Man, how poetic is it that the only way to beat this ninja game in the most ninja way possible is with a secret technique learned and mastered by a chosen few?
Very poetic.
Indeed, very poetic (and fitting as well), and that's why even oldies still has some stuff to offer despite having a lot of knowledge nowdays about them.
We tougth it was a game, but if you think deeper, this game really makes you go through the Ninja Way!
And the fact that it took 30 years for someone to finally master it gives it a more ninja feeling
It is rumored that he was freshly shaved when he started trying for that video.
It was rumored he last shaved in 1988
Lmfao
The darkness is finally over.
Anyone who tried to beat this game as a child knows that this should have been #1 on Trending.
I could never beat these games as a child. I was barely able to beat Ninja Gaiden II as an adult....barely, I mean I had to save using the new NES feature.
This game was so rad!
Yep, bested 1 & 2 on the Nintendo, didn’t get a chance to play part 3
Ive reached Act 3 just now
@delt pakisabi keep safe sa covid
Came from Karl Jobst. Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment!
Also saw it on Karl Jobst. Congrats.
Ditto!
Same, Massive congrats! You're now a GOD TIER gamer, my friend!!
Same. This should have over 1M views. InSaNe!! run my friend. Just awesome.
Igual.
Increible o_O
Congratulations!
How is this not more famous?
This is a legendary run.
There is just soooo much out there now it is easy for things to get overlooked. I have a few other runs that I think are even harder than this. Zelda 2 damagless is a good example czcams.com/video/ow-1vznCGNw/video.html
@@slackanater6639 wait you did a no damage Zelda 2 run??? Can we be friends?
Good explainer✔️

No dmg run✔️
As someone who grew up with this game, what this man has done is insane. It's BRUTAL.
This game is hard as hell what he did omg
I thought I was the best...till I seen this guy on this game
It's crazy right? Back around 1990-92 I remember having sleepover parties with the other kids in the neighborhood where we would stay up as late as we possibly could in the hopes of beating this game. There were many other games that we were able to beat, but this one was never beaten. Watching Slackinator do it in 15 minutes was bindblowing.
You know what’s particularly satisfying about this? It’s the hardest no-hit game from the ORIGINAL era of gaming. Over 30 years to complete is testament to that. So well done, sir.
Ghost and goblins
@@adventurefishing3190 czcams.com/video/VyA4RJdgXAY/video.html
there's something poetic about the "classic" difficult game never getting a true no damage until decades later.
NES is far from the ORIGINAL era of gaming.
@@TheTenCentStory the era people cared about. 🤷♂️
This is literally gaming history right here and deserves so much recognition
I am not ashamed to say that I have watched this at least 4 or 5 times now... Such a amazing feat!!! Congrats on making gaming history!!!
I will admit that I have watched it a few times as well
I don't blame you... I'd be proud as hell myself if I were you!!! 😄
congratulations, dude!
One of the more impressive feats in gaming I've witnessed. A truly.....FLAWLESS VICTORY.
Why does this not have a lot more views? This man is a legend.
Legends need a storyteller. Fortunately, Karl Jobst just took up the role.
We have to spread the Legend of this man 👍😎
facts
Because that moron Karl stole them
I admit !
I love how enthusiastic and positive you are throughout this run despite the fact that it was seemingly such a long haul. Well done and congrats!
"The Sun has risen on the very first ever 0 Damage Run of Ninja Gaiden."
Highly beautiful and poetic? Understatement. Thank you for opening not just a door, but a portal to even more possibilities.
The man, the myth, the legend. Some say he is still running around not taking damage to this day.
Ha! that's great
You've been Jobsted. Congrats on the run!
Been playing this since '87 and just learned the slash kills the boss in one shot. This guy is legendary.
Just unbelievable. So unreal that the glory of your achievement has spread out around the world, to the very distant places like Russia, where I'm from, and I'm very glad to know that such a cool guy like you finally reached this impossible goal through god knows how many attempts.
That unlike was for the frigging demon head LOL
Ha your right. That demon head is a doofus!
The dislikes are Arcus's cats
Godlike! Not only do you avoid every single hit, you also do it fast as hell. Not only did I have to do it in 3 segments, but I used very slow and playing-it-safe type strategies. You just rush through everything like a true ninja.
Im curious, what does doing it in 3 segments mean? Isnt it a 20minute run, what part of it necessitates splitting it up into 3 segments? Or are you just taking the best 3 segments where you havent gotten hit?
@@lockekappa500 Breaking the game into segements where he save stated to make a checkpoint. Then he took best runs he ever could do in them and still got blown away by Slackinator. Of course segmented Runs are often reserved for proof of concepts after all.
@@Zelinkokitsune Ok. Just seems odd to do a no-hit run in multiple segments in multiple sittings. Kind of defeats the purpose?
@@lockekappa500 It was more a proof of concept deal than anything. You see these kind of things with collaboration projects to setup Proof of Concepts for the ideal run at the time.
@@Zelinkokitsune I see. Thank you. Sorry wasnt trying to invalidate his accomplishment, I just dont fully grasp this "no-hit" scene. Thanks for teaching me tho!

I love how those ninjas decided to just keep jumping into the pillar.

Ah Basaquer, my old nemesis...
12:24
Awww... My favorite enemy, and thus the saddest part of any NG playthrough: the Kelbeross. -At least the one on the right didn't suffer.-
16:31 - 16:53
Speed is important for a ninja, but stealth is the more important skill in an either/or. I love that you get that. Not everyone does.
19:34 - 19:39
The moment that Karl Jobst sent so many of us to see.
19:58
Congratulations, you *absolute* legend.
One of my favorites on NES growing up! I bought this game brand new at a Sears when I was a young teenager for $39.99 😱
Love the intro explaining the history, solid work as always man.
Yeah, a world first preceded by an intro and explanation is such a rare thing. When I came to watch this video (from Jobst, obvs) I assumed the intro was edited in for the upload to youtube. To see the actual run start after the intro was a thing of beauty.
There is something euphoric about accomplishing something that everyone else thinks is impossible.
I stil remember the awesome game review to Ninja Gaiden from The Angry Video Game Nerd: "This game is impossible!"
Slackanater: "Impossible? i don´t know what that means"
13:25 “The Pillars of Shwing” - title of my next album thanks! 🤣
Your welcome 😆
HE DID IT,
THE MADMAN ACTUALLY DID IT
Absolutely incredible job Slackanater. I always thought that the hit from the head was completely impossible to avoid, but you went in there, trashed the place, blasted him to kingdom come, and made him clean up the mess. You completely killed this run and I've never been happier to be proven wrong. Keep up the fantastic work mate.
Yo you're the dude with the "no damage run" but with a hit at the end. That was still really impressive
I was the man in high school, just because I beat this game. Yes I'm old, this was a 'new' game then. It's crazy what you new generations of gamers are doing. This was inspiring, amazing work.
Her: wow that was amazing... How are you that good with those hands?
Me: i beated ninja gaiden on the NES with zero damage babe
Even when knowing that you werent gonna get hit, I was still nervous in the later part of the run lol
Speed Runner keep doing thing "Impossible" to be "Possible" you guys got my full respect.
Insane man. Congratulations on in my opinion of the most if not the most technical runs ever performed. Absolutely mind blowing to consider what you put together.
After watching this, the word "impossible" lost its meaning. Congrats!!! That is absolutely legendary.
Avatar fromsaint senya ,right ?
@@MatekPL100 yes it is
Logic lost its meaning years ago
I don't even watch streamers, ever, and I watched this entire run. Congratulations, sir. That was absolutely incredible.
Why is it that Ninja Gaiden runners are always the nicest people on the planet? GGs on the no hit! Incredible landmark.
13:21 The Pillars of Schwing had me rolling 🤣🤣🤣
seeing dislikes on this makes me question humanity in general. Amazing history making run! 🤯
WOW! How could anyone not love this video? I didn't even check and saw your comment and was so shocked that I had to take a look. Humanity is doomed if there is just one person who genuinely disliked this video.
The Ninja gaiden song brought tears to my eyes and touched my soul in a way no other piece of music ever has. thank you guys for writing that. Thank you
I was looking for Ninja Gaiden speedruns and came across this video, it's insane how after so many years you finally did the impossible! Congratulations!
"He's making the jump, it's his second time through, and he hasn't even taken a hit yet. He's a wizard."
20:35 “RELEASE THE FREAKIN DOVES, WE DID IT!!!”
That moment had me in tears
Read this as the video got to this part
You have made gaming history, i respect you
I saw your run in another review and was elated that you nailed it; congrats brother!
Was a big fan of Ninja Gaiden back in the 80s & 90s and this game gave me mucho grief - vicariously, your victory is shared here; I feel vindication, right now.
Not only this run is legendary because of no hit thing, it's also very funny with all the talking with the audience. That "i will murder you" song and "pillars of shwing" made me chuckle.
A lot of these challenges take a ton of time and practice so I try to keep it fun with stupid stuff😆 in an attempt to keep from going insane. Zelda 2 alone took almost 1 year and a half!! That one about broke my brain.
That's a world record no one can beat. You're the first that ever did it. Anyone else is second third and fourth.
Famous words
How do you know he was first?

World record, and world history all in one legendary stream! Congrats! This is such an impressive accomplishment, and all that hard work paid off. I think that’s what I enjoy about these WR runs more than anything. It’s getting to see hard working people rewarded for their efforts, and actually getting out what they put into it. It’s inspiring! Congrats mate! 🏅 🍾
First time I've ever seen this game being played. I've heard of it before but this is legit the first time I've seen any of it being played. What a hell of a first intro to this game! Great job dude! Made me smile for sure. I couldn't imagine how you felt!
This is very, very impressive, to say the least. I had no idea that the demon's head could even be killed. Awesome run, and great commentary throughout
I'm here thankt to the Karl Jobst's material about your Ninja Gaiden, no-hit run. Amazing stuff man! Great job and congratulations!
Karl allegedly committed the crime of defamation. Karl is not a nice bloke and needs to apologise for this.
Love your positive attitude! Was fun to watch you get this amazing achievement. Congrats!!! When I was a kid, I got stuck on 6-2, can't believe how close I got to beating it.
That just got you my subscription! I love watching people play video games to the best and that was absolutely amazing! You proved what was thought to be impossible to not be! I will tuning into more and be watching! Congratulations 🎊
didn't know about this absolute legend til a few minutes ago. Well done!
This video worth millions views
I just wanted to say that over Thanksgiving I grabbed Ninja Gaiden and a few other NES games from my Dad's house when I came home to visit for the holiday.
I hadn't played in a long time but have been itching to play the old NES games again (I have a Retron at my place that does NES and SNES games).
Anyway, I fired it up the other day and got a 0 damage run to level 2.2 (without the spin attack as I accidentally traded it for something else). That's a big deal for me!
Of course once I got that first hit it was game on, followed by too many continues to count.
I just wanted to say I guess I absorbed some things and you inspired me. Thank you.
This deserves more views and likes. Superbly done and explained.
I’m old. My time on this earth is limited. It is selectively spent experiencing true greatness such as this.
This right here

Amazing run, I can't believe not only you pulled off this run but to communicate still with the chat and explain everything as was happening.. just wow. You earned a LIKE 👍
Congratulations!!! Finally I’m amazed, I’ll share this video to all my classic gamer buddies. I’ve been playing Ninja Gaiden for 30 years and I never seen anything like this...
Man you are really good. This game was one of the hardest last bosses I ever played as a kid. Congratulations on the amazing accomplishment.
You're a great guy for going back and _showing in detail_ exactly how you do the trick with such a well edited video. I really appreciate that! Congratulations!

Wow! Nice job! Just saw a video explaining how you did it and had to come see it! Incredible! It amazes me so much that NES is still fun to watch and play; and that people are taking on such challenges! Keep it up and thanks for doing it on video so that we may all enjoy it!!
Thank you. I’m really loving these damageless challenges. I recently finished Double Dragon and Faxanadu. Now I’m working on Zelda 2! It maybe the hardest yet because it takes about 2 hours. My best try so far is 5 hits. I will be posting a video tonight

WAY TO GO! Congratulations on this awesome accomplishment. Thank you for the entertainment.
You have got to be one of the humblest pros out there that made history! It's mind blowing a human can pull that off.
This is by far the most impressive run in recent history. Concidering it had been universally accepted that the last dmg was completely unavoidable, you literally did the impossible!
Even when it was found that you could actually kill the head with "monster mash", nobody could and nobody did. Until you!
This video has to get viral! It deserves it! Very very impressive!
Also, your personality is great for streaming. Polite, energetic, patient, very articulate, a bit gruffy (in a good way). You are going places :)
Had to watch it all to see it. Truly an superhuman feat. Congratulations!

This is the most impressive video game feat I've ever seen! And I agree better it's thematically better than speed runs.

Great job Slack. Quite the accomplishment!
Really like the way he is remembering all the "sequencies" with small "songs"^ - how about a "pacifist"-run next? (probably difficult killing the end boss then mhm)- "Death from above"-thats a reference to PhilPlaidt's book? guess no..
