One of the biggest mistake was how did Black Manta knew about Arthur's son. What they should have done was when Black Manta was looking for the tech was that Arthur's son's power was so strong that it awaken the spirit of the evil king. He hols Black Manta how to use the tech to find Arthur but instead it let him to the son. I think when Orm and Arthur are holding the evil triden they should have fought. Then Arthur tells him that I true King doesn't seek power. That is when he gives it up and he comes back to normal.
The strange thing is once they injured Mira, I thought that was how they were gonna shelf her but then they brought back out of nowhere & she saved Arthur
I personally will not pay or support Aquaman because Of Amber. Aside from the Trial; The Studio knew from jump they have zero chemistry together. And after all the protest of wanting this movie to be cancelled the studio should have!! They should have remade this movie. It's not going to make a lot of money. People may bootleg it, finds ways to watch for free etc.... the trailer for Aquaman popped on after I was watching a video and honestly just from the trailer it looked a hot mess! The studio deserves the downfall since they were arrogant and did not care what their audience was saying. They did a lot of re-shoots and editing and still from the sounds of it could not make it good.

I enjoyed it. Don't expect anything deep, but it's fun. Amber Herd is cut back so much that I'm not sure why they didn't just recast. By the end of the movie, it was almost awkward, because she would show up, say very little (or nothing), and then be gone.

I enjoyed this movie. Yes, the burning of the fuel to melt the atmosphere was corny but the rest of the movie I liked. Mera should have had a more presence, I don't care anything about the amber herd crap. She's a great Mera and they underused her. I totally understood Orms personal journey. Interesting take from Papa Chen. It is true that the theaters has a severe lack of "family friendly" movies and sounds like this is one of them. The question is whether the fact that the DCEU is getting rebooted will affect things. DC should just do a one for one, word for word copy of all the justice league and justice league unlimited series to a live action film. Some of DC best writing came out of those animated series. 52 episodes 1/2 hour each episode combine starting from the beginning 4 episodes into a movie. Would give them 13 two hour long movies.

Arthur haven't played any role in those two pirates' lives at all. Their own actions was the cause of death of Black Manta's father so I've always thought that this villain's motivation looked/feeled kinda stupid. And coincidently, Black Manta actor's overdose acting made it even more hilarious/dumb.

honestly, i havent read the comics, but this movie has many flaws, the characters are good, but their actions, decisions and plot are really bad
I enjoyed this movie. Yes, the burning of the fuel to melt the atmosphere was corny but the rest of the movie I liked. Mera should have had a more presence, I don't care anything about the amber herd crap. She's a great Mera and they underused her. I totally understood Orms personal journey. Wb had too many resorts and involves themselves in these movies too much. I loved the voice over in the beginning. It couldn't have explained it any 9ther way without it taking up too much tume

Ah, Orichalcum. First time I came across this in Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Last time was earlier this year, when Spriggan went on Netflix.

Interesting take from Papa Chen. It is true that the theaters has a severe lack of "family friendly" movies and sounds like this is one of them. The question is whether the fact that the DCEU is getting rebooted will affect things. Papa Chen who doesn't know about it is happy, other people might not give it a shot or will just wait for streaming.
I don't consider green propaganda to be 'family friendly', personally.

Also they knowe that people will hate amber heard and instead of removing her they minimalise hers role and made it awkward and worse. All in all it wasn't bad ,it was okey , but movie like this it must do more. There is so much amazing actress out there that c'd play the role instead of amber. Me personaly dont care about her being in the movie or not , but for the movie she is simply not good. Movie has a good story about two brothers bonding.

They should have gotten rid of AT in the first scene, like The Spy Who Shagged Me did to Vanessa, by having a giant sea whale burst through the ceiling and crap out a giant turd and killing her character. They could have cameod Johnny Depp as a - drunken pirate - servant coming in and quickly exiting saying “I’m not going through that again.” Then Arthur could meet Emilia Clarke out of the corner of his eye, cock his head, say “Now this is something more like it!” and go on from there and forget Mera 0 ever existed.

A 'stupid movie' pretty much sums it up and I agree.
Three things sank this movie: LAME superhero movie fatigue, Amber Heard and the fact that the Synderverse is ending. The latter KILLED any further enthusiasm for DCEU movies. DC should have simply recast Amber Heard.
People thought Aquababy would die because in DC comics in the 70's, Black Manta killed Aquababy (aka Arthur Jr.).

I liked it. Just like Aquaman 1 but bigger scope and way more cgi. I had no expectations, watched no trailers, didn't watch social media reviews, escaped reality for a couple of hours and was entertained, mission accomplished :)

Its Disney. Disney stopped making new ORIGINAL content years ago; they just churn out endless sequels for franchises they buy. And having drained a franchise dry, they find a new franchise to buy and destroy.
