HELP PLZ: I plugged red to red, white to white to my home theater Pioneer 540 5 channel, the other end to my laptop. But only 1 speaker giving me the sound....not others...
Lol
Is it possible to hook up a 10" passive subwoofer with 2 satellite speakers to my SMART TV to improve the TV sound quality without adding a soundbar or a pair of computer speakers? If "Yes" how do i go about it and if "No" than what would you suggest please? Thanks!
You helped me a lot thank you
Need help with this. I plugged my tv with 3.5 jack going to RCA (dvd home theater). But only 2 speakers are working, it should be 5. How to deal with it?
I have a hisense 43A6100UW series 6 trying to connect to my LG DH3140 home theater now when catching a dvd the sorround is awesome and the video shows on my TV.Now when am streaming CZcams on my TV my home theater has no more sorround sound at all. Please help?

Any idea how to get surround sound out of a TV that doesn't have HDMI Arc or Digital Optical out? It has white and red, or coaxial
trying to connect a the Yamaha YAS 107 soundbar for my parents but we are struggling.
Any help would be great!
Coaxial audio connection is probably the best bet. Once it's connected go into the TV menu and try different audio output settings. Hope this helps.
I am still having issues….it has taken me longer to set this up then it did to get the speakers… thank you for posting the video
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe! 😁
Used the rca out from TV, to red and white AV into my old surround sound system.... but I only get sound out of two speakers, and you can barely hear them???? What am I missing?
RCA cables only send signal (left /right) to the receiver not power to the speakers. That job is for the amplifiers in the receiver. What receiver are you using?
What is that cable called at the end that's what I need the cable that has the 5 rca cables ?I have an older cerwin Vega surround sound that I want to hook up with my tv
The red, green, and blue? There called Component cables. Here an Amazon link: amzn.to/2VL1TCR
That's an affiliate link so if you purchase those cables I will receive a small commission.
Ok I plugged my speakers in, and I plug my Optical digital cable from my tv to my receiver and I get no sound coming from my tv, speakers work bc I did a sound test , what else can I try/do
Go into your TV’s menu , find the audio settings and select “external audio” or something like that. That should make the TV send the audio over your optical cable.
Sir how to connect av 3.5 mm jack from tv box to home theatre I have connected with HDMI but it's have very low volume level I have to operate in high volumes to hear
Hmmmmm, I would try a different HDMI cable as the one you're using maybe damaged.
If you have a 3.5mm to RCA (red and white) connect the 3.5 mm to your TV and the other end to one of the audio inputs on your receiver like the CD player or phono input. Then select (CD, Phono, or whatever) as an input source on your receiver, turn on the TV (verify the TV is sending an audio signal through that 3.5 mm jack, you may have to check the TV's menu system) and see if you have better volume.
My receiver only has red/white RCA inputs. My TV only has a coaxial option, and the Red/Green/Blue (component) option, and also Red/White (RCA) option--but these five are all collectively labeled (Component IN). Since they're not label component OUT, can I still use a component cable from the TV to my receiver [RGB out from TV into White/Red on receiver]? Will this yield any sound, no sound, or will it mess something up? Thanks!
From what you’ve stated I don’t think you’ll get any TV sound from the speakers attached to the receiver.
THANKS!

Thanks.
This help me.
You’re welcome!
Hi
I bought a Sony home theater but the center speaker is missing , I connect all the other speakers but I can’t hear the conversation or the dialogue I just hear music and sound effects
Could that be because of the missing center speaker?
Yes, that's most likely the culprit. If there is a sound menu, try to set it to "Stereo Mode" instead of "Movie Mode" that should give you dialogue in the front left and right speakers.
I have a 2017 LG TV, it has 2 HDMI (not ARC), no optical, no auxiliary connections. How can I connect a soundbar to it because the speakers suck? Those RCA cables, is that where you would connect a DVD player, is that what your talking about?
If the rca on your tv is audio out then yes you should be able to use those.
How to connect Samsung hw h20 hometheatre to Samsung m5570 smart tv
No! I dont have audio! Im trying to connect my Panasonic vera 2010 to a 1997 sony stereo reciever n its not working!
I have question for u. I connect LG sound bar with tv. Aux. And i connect Phillips music system as well together. But there is delay with sound bar. How can i get rid from this delay. Please help
Check the Philips menu for audio delay adjustments. If it doesn't have an adjustment then check the LG sound bar and finally your TVs audio menu.
Hi, my problem is this: I'm running an Mu7000 Samsung smart TV with digital out and I have a very old Sansui receiver with RCA in ONLY (no out) for video/aux (in) L+R and CD in and Phono in.
The optical cable I've picked up runs from the digital out in my TV and connects to a digital to analog converter. From the converter I've connected RCA cables to my old receiver via video/aux in.
I have changed settings on TV to play external speakers and still am not getting audio through my external speakers.
What am I doing wrong? Short of buying a new receiver with latest ports, what can I do to get audio from external speakers? Is there a box or cable I can buy?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I have an xbox one and HD decoder as well which have additional ports.
First of all wow! You've created a great solution to get audio from your TV to your receiver. 👍🏾
Your setup sounds like it should work perfectly. At this point I would check each part in the chain to make sure it works. The DAC is the main thing I'd look at but check all the components. The one component that will be hard to check is the digital out on your TV if that's bad you really have no way of knowing. Heck if you have a buddy that has a receiver with a digital optical cable ask them if they can bring it to test the connection on your TV.
Once you've verified everything works and you're still not getting audio then I'll look into upgrading. The good news is there are excellent deals in the new & used receiver market if you have to go that route. If it were me I'd pick up the cheapest receiver with HDMI from someone local on a Craigslist type app (Offer Up and Let Go are two that come to mind) or a garage sale.
Sorry I'm not more helpful but I can't think of anything more than what you've done.
Let me know what happens I'm really curious how you resolve this.
Thanks man!
Off topic, but have to share. Just got a DCM TB-1212, dual 12 inch powered sub for 37. 50 at Christy's auction house in indy. Rattles my house!
Never had DUAL subs, lol. I only have 6.1 yamaha receiver 600 watts...that I also got at Christy's for $22.50...with remote!! Also got bose 201 iv series bookshelf speakers, and 4 acoustimass redline speakers for less than 50 bucks. Bose is overrated, but you cant beat the price. Check the auctions guys!!!!
Nice!!!! Congratulations😀

I have a old sky worth tv and it doesn’t have a output for new speaker’s input. I bought a digital to optical audio converter but it still doesn’t work and i dont know what to do.
What are the connections you’re trying to connect?
Great video.. but can you tell me how to go from usb to sound bar without hdmi just red and white rca stereo input?

@@HomeTheaterHobbyist Nvidia Shield TV, I bought it last year in summer of 2019.I'm trying to connect it to my Logitech Z506 speaker system. I have my home built HDTV connected to the speakers through the sound card. So all that's left are the stereo red and white input ports.Thought I'd try to clarify what I'm trying to do as much as possible.I tried to use an audio extractor thru hdmi. But the picture quality is somewhat reduced. When I connect the hdmi on the Shield TV. Directly to the Samsung HDTV. I get a better picture. But the Samsung audio really sucks for sourround sound speakers in it.
If you can, could you review an older version this model plz do
That maybe hard to do but which model do you have in mind?
It is a digital audio/video control center
Digital cinema sound-cinema studio ex
It doesn’t have an hdmi, once again it is very old lol,and I would really appreciate and if you do thank you!But if not, thank you anyway for at least replying (:
Hi. I have a question. Maybe you can help me? I have an old home theatre with only Rca input. As I understand if put 5.1 movie in dvd connected to tv it will only send it with 2 channels to home theatre. So there will be no 5.1 effect. Is there any possibility to add some device or something to my old home theatre to make it send full 5.1 channels?
Connect dvd to AVR & then audio out from AVR to TV
Can u do a video on dual subwoofer setup??? Phase , crossover ect...

Hi sir... i have toshiba led tv 40” (model # 40L2400EE) no any audio out put option, how to conect home theatre plz help me
Does it have a digital optical output? If so use that connection to connect to your AV receiver/integrated amp. Then choose that source. If it has RCA audio out then use that connection to connect to your AV receiver/integrated amp. Then choose that source. Hopefully this helps!
Home Theater Hobbyist don’t have any output options
Got a question.I have a av receiver with no hdmi port and I want too hook it to my epson 2045 cinema projector So I can have the home theatre surround sound setup. What cables do I need?
The projector has hdmi, rca video/audio ports and audio out.
Would I just need audio cables going from the receiver to the projector?
I assume your source device is a DVD /Blu-ray player. For video use the projector's video out to your receiver. For audio take the audio (RCA) from your DVD /Blu-ray and plug that into your receiver. Then select the correct video out on your receiver menu and audio in on the receiver menu.
Great information. This is all new to me and so that I don't screw anything up I've decided to just get an av receiver with Hdmi ports.Didn't know about Hdmi before I started trying to build my setup.
Now Hdmi will give me true surround sound that I can't get with rca cables right? and they handle everything: video/audio all in one right? And I just simply plug one hdmi cable from my projector to the receiver and another from the blue player to receiver and I'm all good correct?
Yes HDMI will give you both audio and video over 1 cable. The latest cables HDMI 2.0a support all the latest 4k and audio formats so you should be good to go for years to come. Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment!
Thanks for your help

my tv only has AV in, i tried using toslink from cable box to receiver that says DSS in -- still no sound, help please
Just a quick look at the connections on the back of the Marantz and it appears you'll need to use stereo (L/R, Red/White) audio cables to connect to DSS audio inputs. Hope this helps
should i use digital to analog converter? from my cable box only has AV in
I have an old pioneer av receiver with no hdmi. How can I connect my bluray player with 1 hdmi port & 1 coaxial
Well, does your receiver have Coaxial IN as an input option? If so, use that. If not, you may need to go the Digital/Analog Audio converter route. There are a ton of them on ebay, Amazon, etc. It helps to know what model your receiver is.
We have all wires that could possibly connect TV to a home theatre system. But our t v sound does not come from the home theatre speakers. It’s a Sony home theatre. Can please help?
It sounds like your system is connected to your tv. Not sure what tv you have but have you tried switching the tv audio output to external? There should be a setting in the menu system.
Home Theater Hobbyist thank you for the reply. Turned out that I was not selecting the right option on my home theatre. It works now.
And what if it does not have an optical cable or stereo jack
?
What does it have?
Just the red and white rca
