Thanks for the tips, it worked on my wife's phone as she had the black screen, I used the home+down volume+power & it was saying to download a OS program or to cancel and restart phone, I just restarted the phone and its working fine now. Much appreciated. Left a like for support & for the algorithm.

Thank you so much- the bottom 3rd of my screen was blacked out and I could barely use the keyboard to type since I could hardly see it! It happened practically overnight. With a green overall the 2/3 of the screen hazy flickering that's been happening a lot as well and then bam bottom 3rd went black. Yikes!! Your video helped me and it works now thank you again. What causes the black screen? My screen has gone to dark flickering on and off since August, but today went black. The key combination didn’t work but so far it looks good on the power combination. Keeping fingers crossed that this will hold!

great video. When you choose download custom os mode, how long does it take to complete the download? in which network (wifi, sim gb data ) does the download occured?
pc. if you are in download mode exist by holding vol down and power, or just hold power
This actually worked! My phone went black for no reason (I didn't drop it) and I panicked. Less than 2 minutes into this video and I had my phone responding again. The volume up key didn't work but the volume down worked in about 3 seconds. Thank you so much.

I wiped and factory reset my s7 edge. it finally turned off, then it showed the blinking blue light for a long ass time. I left it overnight and the blue light stopped.
Now I can't turn it on. Plugging it on Wall charger or a pc doesn't work. What do I do?
leave it for a while and try again. the motherboard properly overloaded. drain the battery and charge and turn on work in most cases

Hey sound like you have an os boot loop problem. Did it go into the recovery mode ? if not hold vol up, home and power. Then you can do a factory reset if need or you can just reboot

I had the same thing, but now the battery is dead and it does not show the batteryloading thing. After trying my normal charger, I tried my wireless charger and the carger itself says the phone is charging, but the screen stays black

@@user-lb3bv7hw8n No I did have a similair problem with my s7 the fist time, it did load so I saw the green led for charging (i do not have that anymore because i found it annoying, but I only had the phone for a day so all original features were still on). The problem was a crack under the screen. the company where i bought it offcourse said that was not there when they send it, you know how it goes. So I went to one of stores with the best electronic service in the Netherlands (MediaMarkt) and asked them if that was the problem. They took a look for me to see if the screen was lose and if it had a crack (for free) they said it was and they repaired it
@@user-lb3bv7hw8n However replacing a screen was very expensive like 300 euro's, I checked and I see that the screen is a little bit loose, but I dont know if that would also cause that I do not see the led light anymore. I bought a samsun A71 now for 350 euro and maybe if i save up I will go to the store to look if they can fix it for a reasonable price
@@user-lb3bv7hw8n If you have a crack underneath the phone screen it is usually very small and can hardly be detected, but you can see it if you do not it is probally not the case. If the screen is loose it could cause the black screen and the buttons not responding but not always so I reccomend to having it checked if you have a store that offers it free of charge

you may have to do a factory reset, you will lose all your data if you do so. or you can flash your device

My old phone has the black screen issue, but when I press volume down, home, & power, it just vibrates. Also a blue light appears too. Is that a sign of anything? Whats a way that I can get the screen working again like it used to? Whenever you can, I need an answer back.
if you try the method and it fail look for small cracks on the phone if any you may have to replace it

Did not work for me. I was using my phone and then it just went black and never came back. Does not matter what buttons I press. And it was already 100% charged. I even tried charging for 1 hour redid it. I even tried with it plugged in. Nothing. completely dead. And the phone looks perfect. No cracks. Very diappointing.

Is that a real s7 your using because the screen protector goes to the edge and s7 don't because is has a slight curve at the side of the display and the boot page looks different it may just be an update but your phone says "galaxy s7 " on the back and mine and every other on has the Samsung logo and model number and Korea ect if it's not fake then sorry but I believe that's fake but this would resolve a problem so good video.

I have the same problem. I think that the problem is in the pins of the screen or something. After hundreds of cycles from cold to warm some pin must've gotten loose. Mine works if I get the phone hot enough. There are these hand warmer apps. Try to heat up your phone and see if the problem goes away. Keep in mind that this is only temporary and if you take your phone to a cold place it will go black again. My back panel is very cracked so it won't resist cold as well as it used to.

the phone seems to respond but it doesn't turn on, only on part seems to light up but, then goes back to being a black screen. the phone keeps heating up and I've been trying to cool it down (which has been working) I'm not sure what the problem is
Try giving it some charge and try going into download mode. vol down home and power to do so. let me know how it go.
