Y'all should open a consultant business for black diaspora who want to return to the continent. I'd be your first customer.
Great suggestion...and I'd be secondđ
Great suggestion.
Exactly what I was thinking!
There are plenty of businesses like this that exist right now. So many people say that they want to do this, that, etc. but rarely do it.
@@j.flaner8506 please point us in the direction of a few of them if you can.
It's hard to know who is reputable but seeing these folks living the ups and downs of their lives while in Ghana on CZcams brings a certain trust factor for me.
Thanks.
This is what a relationship should look like...King and Queen.
Now U know that's right
Thank you guys Love you â€
I agree and it is absolutely magical to see again. I will be leaving for Africa in about 18months. Love the video.

My sentiments exactly
Bless their relationship and children. God Bless whoever reads this there is a valuing on your life to be Blessed and highly favored. Donât be discouraged!
You should start a Real estate business assisting foreigners moving to Ghana since you have the experience and know all put falls
Awesome Idea! Iwill happily pay their fee for the service.
Awesome because I want to move to ghana
Man the two of you are so naturally beautiful together. Only God can part two beautiful hearts together and make them become one. Much love from Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean. đâ€
Hi Trini!
Blessings T & B!
AA look another Triniđčđč
Hey guys, yeah, you know we Trini all over de place lol đ
Heeey Trini!!
I love this and you two are beautiful! Although I am not black, I have spent time in East Africa and lived in both South and Central America. Some experiences are common in many countries outside the USA. I love the produce markets, slower pace of life and can relate to all your bathroom experiences. I hope all black people don't leave the USA, but I am very happy for those like you, who are bonding with your ancestral heritage!
Why? All America does is blame black people for all its ails, itâs disgusting.
I hope every black person leaves USA.
Welcome to Africa, the land of your ancestors. We are glad you're here, despite the initial obstacles.
There will be more black people watching this video in the next few months I am sure. I really want to thank you for this information and the Travel John info. Great advice about shipping, however I knew that from moving a 2 bedroom apt in Atl to another apt in the same city, lol I am now a minimalist. I can move to Ghana with 2 suitcases.
Me'lanie B Biblical scriptures prophesies that YAH will be calling and gathering all of us back home Jer 30:3 (4-24)
Have you bought your flight tickets yet then Me'lanie?
@@jonnyh9388why... is that your business?
My family and I are ready!
You absolutely right here I am đ tired people touching my hair asking me what I'm mixed with wtf bro I'm black black like my daddy 100% and momma 100 %
Money: coming from the US, you might be used to get groceries at supermarkets and eat a lot of ready made food. This will turn out very expensive in any other country! So number one lesson must be learn to cook with fresh ingredients... Adapt to the local food and buy your groceries where the locals buy them.
Had a friend move to Costa Rica and she said there was one brand of everything (one brand ketchup, one brand bread, etc.) and healthcare is like you get a shot for everything and that's it. Just a shot that may or may not work and send you on your way. So there's that too.
A good number of African countries have food VERY CHEAP and highly available... n there is a lot of freedom to grow your things. Just learn the local lingo accurately and eliminate the accent d'americano, that twenging makes the grocery prices double in a second.
@Erich Weiler still doesn't change the Fact that food in Africa is surprisingly cheaper, richer, less likely carsinogenic, has minimal control by governing bodies (which ironically leaves people with a wonderfully array of food choices and an ability to grow their own food n keep their own chikens even in the surburbs). Corruption is another thing. Fun fact, did you know that if Africa and South America decided to not export any of their fruits n raw material 1st world countries would slowly but surely get malnutritioned? The wealth of African soil is the gift that keeps the world spinning. Otherwise, why would Africa be so invaded? I have a theory that corruption is a colonially caused issue since all european countries that had colonies still havent let go of control over the territories they created that we now have to call countries
@@makanaki513 Government Corruption is as old as Government đ
I love this couple. Yes, they made some mistakes while relocating, they survived. This goes to show that where there is commitment their are great results. All the best to you both.
Me and my family just started our Journey to Africa Vlog as well and we're so excited to document everything on CZcams!!!!
I'm in awe and impressed at the strength of this couple. Not just for moving to Ghana but also the unity that's evidenced in their communication. Wow. Subscribed.
I'm 4-6 weeks out from moving to Europe. It's been a long time coming. I've gotten rid of so much stuff! Everyone says to pare down. Like you, I want to live a minimalist life. And I love what you said about the "mindset" being so important.
I'm ready to move abroad! I'm sick of the states and this systematic oppression!
@Jack Shrader more like get rid of the people who write a new law every time they want to control the "crime" makers
Jack Shrader Have you not turned your tv on or researched your local Pd department/courthouse/Judges/District Attorneys office!!!!! You better do your homework!!
Anything we can do to help you move out of the US quicker?
@Jack Shrader your ancestors committed crimes than anyone else on this planet, and they keep on committing crimes on daily basis.
africans dont own africa sis they oppressed too
What people don't seem to understand is that THERE IS CRIME in Ghana. However, the crime in Ghana is often concentrated around petty theft and burglaries. Gun and knife crime is very very low. Waaaay lower than the USA.
Anyone from the states should know how to handle themselves around crime in Ghana it's like you're in Paradise compared to the United States all of the violent crimes we see here
Pick pockets are everywhere. London is the worst though.
you're right about the crime being low in ghana cause in the U.S. their is *ALWAYS* mass shootings *every* month đđ
Jaxson Pierre FaCts
Jon anderson I heard
The advice that you gave was good for anybody no matter where they move.

Claire Flynn I understand where you are coming from Claire but they just shot a guy 7 times in the back in front of his children and now are trying to tell us he had a knife and he was a felon. Which black man isnât they get you registered while youâre young so they know who you are and where you are on the plantation 24/7. I swear I was just like yâall when I decided I was done with Amerikkka. I was so anxious, and ready to just get to Africa, I didnât care. Well that was 2012 and I have better understanding of the area I live in Africa. Once you iron out some of the kinks life is beautiful. I'll like a video comparing life in Ghana to the US in terms of
1. Safety
2. Cost of living
3. Ease of raising kids
4. Happiness
5. Standard of living
6. Healthcare and general wellness
Akin Akinsanya 3,4, 5 and the general wellness part of 6 (if youâre referring to being stress free, happy etc) are subjective and will vary from person to person. Although it will be interesting to know their thoughts on these, you shouldnât expect the experience to be your reality
@@MzMahoganyHoneyBrown I am referring to their own personal experience not general experience.
In terms of rising kids if you live in local areas the community will help you out in terms of discipline growing up in Ghana when you do something wrong while your parents aren't around neighbors will punish you before your parents get home lol
@@mameekua2935 thank you. I agree with what you said. I am Nigerian and grew up in Nigeria and the culture is identical. I just want their own perspective since they lived in US for a larger part of their life before moving to Ghana.

Wow I am so fascinated by your move, and I had a job where I did alot of that, and I also got tired of the California commute and started working at home for myself and I think it's smart to leave the US because of all the things happening. I've often thought of going back to Nuremberg Germany where I was born and naturalized to the US. My buddy Danny Attiga lives in Sunyani and it's beautiful there. This is what a healthy, holistic, balanced black love union looks like. Black Love, Black Power, Black Magic all day every dayâ€đ
I have learned same lessons over past 20 years in and out of Asia. Income coming in is most important next to security. Being broke abroad is unforgiving.
True about security. No country on this planet is 100% secure, and Ghana is no exception. Also bathrooms and toilets are the worst things you can ever experience in Ghana.
Try the ones in China! That was an unexpected experience for me.
@Merlene Taylor 4 real that would be a problem 4 me as well... especially in my mind wondering about how clean the staff hands is as well..if I can't even clean myself properly!..ijs I'm a woman & have to be able to clean up properly 4real!

#1 rule whenever you move to a new country make sure you know someone. You should make sure that you know a trusted local resident. I can't stress this enough, there are a lot of scammers out there.
I moved to ethiopia from america..all you have said holds true..the hustle in ethiopia was when you buy land, the whole family has to sign..if not whoever didnt sign can take land legally..and also got my goods taken..rhey didnt get in house but grabbed items they could reach thru the window...hahahaha in ethiopia they call tissue "softy"...lol and children sell liytle packs everywhere you go..when i first got there i thought it was odd but soon came to find out why..đ€đ€€đČđđ€Łgive thanks for sharing your experience!

This advice is priceless for any big moves, even from state to state as I learned and I have real estate background. đ Thank you for sharing your journey.
This is the same advice I would give to anyone considering moving to Brooklyn, NY.
About the shipping. If you ship a container ahead of you once you touch down at kotoka complete a customs form and let them know you are expecting a container so once the container gets here you will get a much cheaper customs fees as they are personal effects. You must complete the form on arrival or it is invalid. Oh and I think this applies to ghana nationals but confirm.
I am not a national but I had to do this too.
Good luck trying to clear goods as personal effects.
@@stephendwomo4083 it is not impossible but incredibly tedious. I got mine cleared but it did take time and a lot of paperwork.

You two are so lovely. I'm a Ghanaian and I'm so proud of you. God bless you.
This is wisdom! Some are just saying, those living in the USA need to pack up and move to Africa, BUT strategic planning is required no matter where one chooses to relocate. Thank you.
I am an Black-American living in the Philippines. Just like where you are tissue is hard to come by when you are out in public so you had better carry your own supply. However, over in your home here most foreigners use a portable bidet for hygiene. This device attaches to your toilet and you have a water hose you spray for cleaning. It really is much better than toilet paper and I wished I had this item before when I lived in the states. The locals use for hygiene a little small plastic pot with a handle they put water in in the bathroom. But, I could never use that thing because I had water going all over the place. Yikes!
That song by LTD makes me feel home sick and Iâm not even in Ghana. I would probably cry a lot because Iâm very sentimental.
