Its the SG90 servo and the MG90 servos. They are 9G and SG is plastic gearing or S-Standard/Soft Geared and the MG are the Metal Geared. And yes they are Full metal Geared. There are ones that are half and half, Read the description before buying, cuzz the half and halfs, prone to stripping. I used to use the 9G servos for my Xmod and other Rc modifications, But then came across Smaller and more of right fit 6G servos. Which also can be found in bundle sets of 5,10,20. Came across those when I was working on one of my Losi Micro T projects. which needs a 6G to fit into the housing, and also happens to be the same size as the stock ones from the Xmods (both Gen 1 and Gen 2/evo).

Thanks! I'm glad to help and motivate! Seeing the possibilities is a game changer for these cars and the hobby! I hope to see more project and car meets in my area so it all about showing what we can all do with what we have right here at home that we already paid good money for... like RadioShack... built last.. last into a collection.. some of these cars are truly, Truly rare now, some were literally dumped over Nothing... but to me?!??? That 2-speed differential Alone is priceless. It not on rc's now.... ;) The Xmods are the "Midnight Club" "NFS Underground" & "Fast and Furious" Type RC Cars of their time. I'm super glad I'm able to keep them driving let alone faster. Its a plus even for double the time and better steering.

Where do you Race your xmods at

There is a public track in Burien, WA that's ok for most 1/14 scales if you have the suspension for it. It's not very smooth and the XMODS are bouncy and even roll over on the pavement there. It's best to find a smooth gym type floor or a smooth garage floor to drive them on.

@backtothetrackgarage8790 I run mine on a tennis courts That seems like the best surface for them or a 🏃‍♂️ Track

@@MrKingxmod Excellent idea. Eventually I may get some cones and set up a small test track and arrange some kind of lap time tracking system for future videos. So I can evaluate cars and their settings in real-time. Using a tennis court could make it easier to have preset measurements...

We need a discord community for little modified rc cars like these. I have a alot of them and want to know if a 20amp esc is enough to run some rechargable nimh aaas, wanna incorperate the stock battery tray into my modifications.

Hi sorry for the late reply, 2024 is keeping me busier than usual. From what I see on 20a escs are about 7 cells nimh max. 8 cells are pushing it on 20amp. Try a 40amp brushed esc.
