TLDR: The BOBOVR S3 Pro Halo Strap for Meta Quest 3 offers comfort, a faster charging battery, and solid build quality. It includes a cooling fan, adjustable forehead pads, and improved rear padding. While some may question the necessity of certain new features, the S3 Pro provides a more affordable and feature-packed alternative to Meta's official Elite Strap with Battery.

What is the weight of headset with this strap and battery?

I have the Kiwi battery elite strap and I'm very happy with it. but this looks cool, maybe for my next headset?

Both are great straps for the Quest 3. Halo straps are quite different to elite so it really comes down to your on preference and what you need most out of them

What is your personal between this and Kiwi? I thought in your video that you prefer Halo for comfort but just to confirm

This S3 Pro for me. Just feels more comfortable and I like the swappable battery vs always on/charging when connected on the kiwi

That AVMR interface seems just to high on the head to let the halo fit comfortable. It gave me a headache somehow. I used a dremel to shorten mine to the same height as the stock and it feels a lot better that way. I use a converted Bobovr M2 to M3 by the way. The S3 Pro seems great but the price, well it is a bit expensive.. A well you do get a nice fan on it..

I like the feel at the moment but I need to be in it long enough to really see if the height affects comfort. We shall see. Otherwise back to stock I go. The fan is nice but personally I feel it’s a bit unnecessary for me.

I was going to get one with my quest 3 but it's a month out. I had to print an adapter for the strap I use on my quest 2, the kiwi designs elite style strap. I'll use that for a month. EDIT: Oh, I posted that before I saw you had a kiwi strap, lol.

😂 I m sure the adapter and kiwi will keep you happy for a while

@@OQPlay Yeah, it worked really well, almost sad I want to try the Bobvr, lol. I still need it for my quest 2 anyway, going to give that to a friend. From now on though when I upgrade headsets I'm going to see if there is a printable adapter. I wanted to find one for my Index, I don't use it much anymore, and the stock head strap is by far the most comfortable one I have ever had. No luck though, I think all the Indexes are slowly dying from use so no one has made an adapter.

I’m new to all this just wondering how audio works? Also wondering if the facial pads are worth it? Best bet is these straps the amvr facial plates or does bobo make some? Then what to do for charging the controllers and headset any tips? Thanks.

      @OQPlay  Před měsícem +1

      Hi Cody,
Audio simply comes from the external speakers on the side rails of the headset.
Straps don’t really affect the sound too much with them, elite straps surround these speakers a little more so you might find they sound better than on a halo strap.
You can connect headphones also, but Bluetooth wireless headphones can carry too much latency in VR so I would avoid connecting headphones over Bluetooth.
Facial pads are just as important as an elite or halo strap. It greatly adds comfort and allows you to use the headset for much longer periods without discomfort. Bobo doesn’t make any and there aren’t that many currently for the Quest 3.
The Touch Controllers don’t need charging that much, so either buy a 2x pack of rechargeables AA batteries so you always have some spare to swap over or look for grips that allow charging over USB C.
The headset will need more frequent charging so I recommend buying a battery strap of some kind. Kiwi or bobo depending on your personal preference. This will help add more playtime to the headset and require less as frequent charging.
      Hope this helps

@@OQPlay this helps. I bought a quest 2 and 3 used not shipped yet and keeping which I like better. Do you plug in headphones or is the sound fine really? I also am going to be doing PCVR so I need a link cable are the cheaper ones fine and just as good as the mega one? Do you have any recommendations for the facial pads for quest 2? Quest 3 I saw there’s just one brand called amvr facial pad? Thanks for the help dude. I think the m2 pro for the 2 and s3 pro are best I can do for them? Are they really better than the elite ones? Halo I mean.

That's humongous! I run my standard strap, no issues at all besides the battery running time, but for that I just hook up an usb cable when playing PCVR for 2-3 hours and still got juice left

Each to their own. Personally I feel the stock strap is super front heavy and the size of this strap isn’t as big in the flesh.
