Being ex-military, I will spill the beans. There are some really weird dudes that just want to have straight eye-contact and have a full on conversation at the urinals. Probably the weirdest thing I am happy never happens any more in my civilian life.
I remember having to use a latrine in the field. I put on my gas mask because that thing was rank as hell. I walked in and there was someone else from another unit who had the same idea as me. He waved, I waved and that was it. No weird stuff. We both had to take a dump and couldn't do it in the woods because "environmental concerns". The best thing about being a civilian is having privacy.
