The ending in the book was far better. They dueled in the great hall, surrounded by witnesses. Voldemort fell over dead. The witnesses all saw that. However, in the film, they duel alone, with no observers. So Harry will have to go back to the great hall and say "I just killed Voldemort." Who is going to believe such a claim?

I don't know if it's a movie mistake, but when the Elder Wand flew to Harry, you had briefly seen a few people (I think students) in the background and when Harry caught the Elder Wand, you saw Neville in the background. So a few people must have seen it in the movie. And in the game you saw students running to Harry and cheering after seeing Voldemort defeated once and for all

The way he died makes me think of glass that got hit by a stone and shatters. His soul was so torn apart that his body turned into 1000 pieces on first touch of his own spell.
