568rwhp@ 7240rpm. Peak should be 7500-7600. Dyno could not pick up the right rpm signal so no numbers above 7250. 580+to come.
The world needs more NA high revving camaros. It just suits the look of these cars.
Ford guy here and that thing sounds ROWDY!🇺🇸🏁🏴☠️
Good lord I love high revving American cars! They sound like freaking nascars!
Nascar engines essentially are high revving american small blocks. Usually around 5.9L. Always short stroke large bore right up to 9400rpm, A thing of beauty!
Good numbers! My Hydraulic roller sbe ls3 is making 586 right now . Shooting for 600 wheel aswell
What is your setup for making that kind of power? I'm trying to build an all motor LS3 currently.
That is manic! Gotta love a solid roller pushrod.
👍💪🦅🇺🇸
There's nothing better than high displacement revving to the moon! This one didn't sound very happy at such high rpm however.
Clutch slipped at 7200, the rpm was hanging. Changed the clutch and now it sings steady all the way. Look my other vids. Good ear!
Does sound badass!!
The clutch was slipping cause a seal blew on the sale cyl and it threw fluid on the clutch. You can see it flatline on dyno sheet and then go up again when the fluid stopped spewing on the clutch.
Does the engine rev that high reliably? I'd love this for my daily driver.
Badass!
Whoa wohohohowoow almost 8k revv on an LS3 pushrod. 🇺🇸💪
Have you ran it at the track?
I added RPS carbon twin clutch (25lbs), Xpipe and full 3'' exhaust with 2.75'' Z28 mufflers since then. Maybe good for a bit more HP!
What exactly was spitting fluid on the clutch and causing it to slip in this video again?
@isnowyazn the SPEC HRB(slave cyl/ bearing) are crap; I went thru 5 of them seal in it. Had to remove trans 5 times. Went back with stock slave (custom length(C6)) and the RPS Clutch&FW.
@@isnowyazn for the record, the Spec clutch was awesome, but their bearing suck. Get a Tilton or anything but their's.
God dam!!!! All the Rpms!!
Hee hee hee....love it
Purr'n like a chicken. High RPM v8s are cool. Would like to take an LS past 8k
Like a kitten, not chicken! Ha!!! Damn autocorrect!!
The Mini Spec clutch how is it on take off? Do you have to think about releasing the clutch? She sounds perfect nice build.
It is really harsh and you have to build a pedal clutch stop. I love it that way!! The pedal is really really hard...like world record.
It revs like a bike..its insane. Would not recommend for stop n go traffic and hill stops!

Do you have the total cost of the parts you listed above? I'm thinking of doing the exact same. Thx!
This is my second cam change so I had some stuff done already like hi press Melling oil pump.
-The big chunk of cash are adj rockers 1300-1500$(got em used 800ish)
-Quality Solid linked bar lifters 800-900(friend sold me nice used for 450)
-Frankeinstein Engine Dynamics TFS full custom heads 2500$ (paid 2000usd! Sale)
-Meziere electric water pump 850$ (got it used 650)
-Timing chain C5R 140$
-custom thinner gaskets 160$
-Mini Spec twin 18.5lbs clutch 1500
-Goertz1 custom short runner intake that clears hood and cowl 1700+ plumbing+fuel rails 300
-102mm BBK 250$
Timing gaskets, oil, etc maybe 200$
-Springs 1209x 350$ and Ti retainers (any are fine).. 720/702 lift haha
Other boltons and CAI, air scoop, lighter wheels (19")
You can sell stock heads and other stuff and get some money back.
All in all, keeping stock heads, maybe ported, going with less rpm and better ptv clearance, stock manifold intake would be a tire shredder and cheaper build.
-Cam is 450$(got it free from a friend!!!)
-Fluid damper 340$
did you fly cut the pistons ?
no, tight but ok! Remember the solid roller is about equivalent to a hydrolic minus 6deg. Thats why it clears without flycut and because of the aftermarket heads. About 70thou of clearance on int side.
How long will the stock rod bolts hold at higher rpms?
3 years eet at 7300 and 3 years more at 7900. The carcis not getting much milage the last 2 years but it has seen 7500 at least 300 times, idk maybe more. Car is running Amsoil Zrod 10w30 and wix filter. Good maintenance too.
how did it drive with 18lbs clutch? I imagine barely to zero slipping and taking at off at around 1.5k rpm?
switch on /off, gotta slip it a lot, 2500 rpm take off. Undrivable, but I like these kind of stuff lol. Rev like a SS bike!
@@johnnystock1849 i see, thx, I really like your mods. Is the car for sale by any chance?
👍🇵🇹
Would really of liked to see the results. peak numbers dont interest me. i wanna see the curve!
it made 440TQ and it doesnt feel like a Honda anywhere. 2nd gear is a monster. Too bad the car is too heavy and under-geared.
@@johnnystock1849 Yeah, if it revs high, you definitely need to take advantage with gears. Look up your transmission's specs and gear the rear end so you do 60mph in last gear at 2000rpm. That'll be 75 at 2500 and 90 at 3000. Stock is like 70-75 at 2000, and in some cases as long as 80 at 2000. Literally 20-30% shorter gearing if you do it like I suggest, but you also have 25% more RPM, so it'll balance out perfectly.
Stock bearings on the bottom. Cant tell with all the abbreviations
Stock block engine (SBE).
Where do I get the exact engine mods at I wanna build a 8k rpm camaro ss
Me too
Look for Camaro5 forums ; name is whammo.
Its pretty much all in the desc under vid.
Push rod length?
6.750
