Nice swap! I have a black 96 ss that I swapped a heads cam ls3 into. I also swapped all the wiring, fuse box, front end harness, full interior from a 02 camaro ss in mine.

I'm doing a very similar project right now ls2 into my trans am. the only thing holding me up is wiring. the previous owner of the car absolutely destroyed the wiring. full interior gut and wiring gut. did you use your stock chassis and engine bay harness then wire the ls into that?

Grant Marsh You can get a new wire harness made from diffrent vendors. BP-automotive, PSI, and Speartech are the top 3 in my opinion.

@@enriquemorales8267 You can put an LS1 on an LT1 k-member with adapter plates, that's what is in my car. Like $40 bucks on ebay.

Should have just put the LE2 heads and cam package on the LT1. Just as quick for far less money.

It might make 450-460 hp at the crank with an lt1 LE2 setup and a great tune, but it’ll also lack a lot of torque from the displacement difference
