- Want to know an EASY , EFFECTIVE, & ON-THE-GO way to make the best fishing chum in under 5 minutes ? In this video, I demonstrate how tons of local anglers in Florida make their chum
(to attract pilchards, pinfish, glass minnows, small jacks, grunts, & a bunch of other live baits).
As you will see in the video, the best chum for saltwater fishing isn't difficult at all to make, nor does it make take very much time, is very INexpensive and can be done using only store bought items.
The secret to making the perfect chum is all in the consistency, the chum should be pasty and not too runny,

Interesting. I remember back in the day when I did the holes in the can deal myself, I used to use tuna in oil though. I

Nice!!!
Thanks my bro!
Just came across your channel searching for new chum recipes. My old man makes it pretty similar to this, oats, white bread, wet cat food, and sometimes menaden oil.
Yessir! Your old makes it how my old man makes it but I realized that as long as there’s oats & cat or dog food the other ingredients could be easily substituted! Awesome comment fam!
Thanks for the video. I live in Southern Illinois. Learned a lot from video. Want to fish in ocean. Videos are quite entertaining and educational. Peace!

david pierre great idea brother! I’m going to be checking out the channel for some other cool chum recipes! Looking forward to seeing this one up there soon as well!
Sounds good. Can't wait.
I like the oats idea. I normally use can of Mackerel or can Sardines in tomatoe sauce. Mix with old bread, water, old bait (shrimp, squid, clams) Too bad we don't have a dollar store where I live at. I would save a lot of money. Good vid. Thanks🤙🏽
Oh yeah those old baits always help!
Awesome, If you chum they will come👍🏾
Urban Fisherman Yessir! You got that right my brother !
Nice. I bet that would work great in freshwater too.
Florida Keys Wooden Boat Fishing wow! I was thinking the same thing I think I’m going to test in in a video! My buddy wooden boat fishing always coming through with the great tips!

Hope it worked !!
@@FishingLikeALocal It did I got more bites but couldn't hock one. Thank you for sharing easy ways to fish.
Liked the mix and the tips. Got a question. What do you use to make a mullet mix. I’m gonna try snagging from a dock on shallow salt creek. You really made the video fun to watch. Thanks, Pablo
For the mullet I’ve heard that it’s better to used bread and oats with Small pieces of grounded up pilchards and shrimp that way it stays on the surface longer, hope that helps family ! Might even want to chum in a chum time because mullet take a while to come
I diy tons of fish gear, and allways love the weird looks I get at the counter lol
Lol! Let them look nothing’s better than proving the naysayers wrong 💪🏾💯
My favorite is at the dollar store when I clean them out of fish oil supplements, and fish food lol.every time they look like they want to call it in but can't lol.
Good content. Budget friendly! And he knows how to fish and not spend $$$ thousands on things he can do himself
Save those dollars lol
Just finished making a pot of chum for tomorrow.will get you some feedback
Amazing brother! Glad that you found the video helpful let me know how it goes 💪🏾🔥💯

FOREIGNER LOVE PHILIPPINES work brother all the way in he Philippines ! That’s amazing I’m sure it will work for you hopefully when it does you comeback and let me know how it went brother
This video made fishing bait fish way easier
Glad I could help !!
Where i live, we are not allowed to chum. So i think i will try using this in the same way we use lunker oil. Gonna dab my hooks in the stuff and try to catch sone bait fish. Thanks!
Not being able to chum sucks
Hi! New to the channel. How do I use it to fish at a pier ?
edstah77 hey thank you for joining! In order to use this chum from the bridge you want to throw out small handfuls in a straight line either our or to either side at lest 1 foot from the bridge depending on the direction of the current then after 20-60 seconds the bait should be coming up to eat the chum gently lower your sabiki rig in the chummed area and help yourself to that awesome FREE live bait
I make this with garlic salt and anise seeds and put it in a baggie for my trap. Good luck.
Garlic salt smart!!!
how would u make fresh water chum? i live in canada and want to use it to catch bait fish
Good question … I’m guessing bread cat food dog food and oats with water
"you throw it out like that"... You have your song
Yes I do lol
Can you substitute the tuna for a other fish
Yes for any other fish or bait
Come back to yt man
I’m backkkkk!!!
Do you or anyone have a video with the chum in action
Yes I have multiple I just posted one the other day
Thanks for the video. I’m paying $30.00 for a dozen shiners
No problem glad that I could assist!
FYI cat food is all mezt while dog food will be grains.
Great DIY chum man!!! New subscriber here👍🏼🐟 I also just uploaded a swimbait fishing roulette challenge!!! I hope you can come by and leave a comment on it sometime!!! Thanks
Thanks brother much love!!
Absolutely disgusting. I would like to taste it 😂. Nice video
Thank you 😋
We don’t have fishing here no bodies of water only beach and snow
HuskyMom man that sucks, if I can’t fish at least once a month I run the risk of suffering withdrawals 😂😂
Have you tried freezing chum into bricks to just make it easier to handle?
Yes I normally put half in a plastic bag, freeze it and transfer it to the mesh bag but the current never lets me be great when I try that 🏳️🙌🏾😂😂
Sponsored by Sheldon J Plankton
Lol
It's not free when you spend money on the chum, for me i use nothing but the 4 small hooks rig and catch mackerel all day, i eat it too
Great comment! I just rather make my own chum than to but half the amount for triple the price I think it only costs me like $6 for 10-15 lbs
This is what jail food is hmmmm
This doesn’t work. All it attracts are seagulls because the cat food doesn’t dissolve they just float. He was already on a hot school of fish.
You have to let it sit until everything is mush it’s like cereal and milk let it sit long enough and it’ll lose form
Waist of cat food
Tasted terrible ..
I would think that as well lol
