- I show you 5 different bushcraft shelters that I have built over the years. These bushcraft camp builds use a variety of natural materials and man-made materials such as a tarp. The bushcraft shelters range from a simple build with no tools at all, just your hands. To ones where you may need an axe, saw, bushcraft knife etc. Hope you enjoy the film, thank you for watching.

Watch all of our Historic Builds inspired by our Ancestors: czcams.com/play/PLxnadpeGdTxD9oAbeZcYKiGO7p3gIXmuZ.html * Note - some of this was filmed many years ago so the first shelters aren’t great and I would do them slightly differently now.
I haven’t watched one of your videos in a long time but I love your content man
I’ve been watching since almost day one and you have grown A LOT, I miss the videos with more talking though, and I loved the ones with your dad, I’m not gonna lie it’s been almost a full year since I’ve watched any of your stuff but I still love all the videos you put out
I think I figured it out: Bushcraft = Advanced fort building for adults.
My God but you sure do know your stuff i enjoyed every moment of this video very chilled out sitting up in my bed at midnight 😃....i bet you could make me two lovely props for my washing line!..😂God bless you. .here's to the next episode 👍👍👍
Man this channel is (to me) the best survival Channel on CZcams today as well as Joe Robinet and wooded beardsman. You guys are the absolute best to do it ever. The G.O.A.T.S. of Bushcraft if you will. Keep it up gentleman 💪👊👌💯
When I was a kid my dad and grandpa had me out in the woods everyday building shelters and hunting my own food! It’s definitely becoming a lost art form! Amazing work as always happy hunting
This is my kind of video. No boring intro, no unnecessarily explaining what the video is about. Dude just gets into making badass shelters. Love it
Motivation equals comfort
IF PEOPLE COULD ONLY BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND THE AMOUNT OF HARD WORK THAT GOE'S INTO BUILDING ALL THESE SHELTERS!! BRILLIANT TEAM WORK GUY'S, GREAT VID, ( TOTALLY AWESOME) LOL.
currently in the progress of just trying to build my own, alone, it's madness lol nothing fancy just want to try, these guys are talented and awesome to watch
You ain't kidding ,I've managed to build a few little things and it takes work, tending fire and everything. Recently camped in the rain and I was able to keep my fire burning through the downfall, it was hectic but a good learning experience.i kinda cheated, used cottonball and Vaseline to start my fire. (Ferro rod) splitting the wood is key if starting a fire in the rain,I was proud of myself for once lol
yes my dear MICHAEL YOU HV HIT THE NAIL IN THE HEAD
U right
I’ve built a little village and only managed to pull of three of 20 needed buildings even with three other people using a machete and hoe
Always helpful to watch these videos because you never know if your gonna be in a situation where your stuck alone in the woods or somewhere
LUCIANO BARBAGALLO
@Proximarick totally
I just watch so I can do this when camping not really that big of a chance you'll actually end up in that kind of situation
This aint something you wanna build in a dire situation. With no practice, this will take weeks if not months. These people are very advanced in their craft, something you quickly underestimate by just watching this video.
I watch them because I'm going to do it. Gathering the knowledge and taking tips then going out and figuring out what works for me and the best stuff for me then I can start my adventure.
im now 40 and have since moved into the city away from remote living.. i miss the quiet, and the simplicity of that type of living. thank you for sharing.
Chill man.. you should take 2 weeks off to go camping and open your wild to the wilderness
great ideas! no talk, no music, just sounds of the work and forest! awesome!
Omg...the DOG was HELPING TOO!!🐶🐕😂
Масса вариантов быстро возводимых конструкций...и все они рабочие,возведённые буквально онлайн.
Автору респект!
my dear I UNDERSTAND .JUST WATCHING THESE MEN ANFD WOMEN MAKES ME FEEL AWE .AND I WONDER ABOUT THE ENERGY .WOW
That was a weekend master class in bushcraft all condensed in 1 video....and not a word was uttered but everything was explained through action - LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!
This guy makes the book Hatchet look easy
Makes me appreciate a nice soft warm bed.
Watching from Thailand
i come from vietnam and i really enjoy watching your videos. Wish you always grow and succeed
I'll have to say shelter #2 was my favorite. The moss over structure was perfect for the type of shelter. I would even go so far as to say combining shelter one with the moss on shelter two would be an amazing combination. Both would be perfect for a weekend hunting trip.
awesome video mike. i just finished the final walk on my first shelter. i’m posting the vid tomorrow. even though i’m only a teenager, you’ve inspired me to get out there and try bushcraft.
I could watch this for hours ❤️
27:05 the best part hands down
A lot of your past woodcraft experiences are condensed into this video. It is good to have done this for all the viewers who have come to the channel, drawn by the Viking House, Saxon House and Pallet Wood cabin series. In the full-length versions, viewers should know that you do talk and do explain what you are doing.
James Ellsworth
Well said...
Amazing. Can’t wait to try it out. Alot of people are afraid of the forest but I find it the safest most relaxing place ever. Anyone who’s been in the woods all day everyday since they were kids would say this. I trust in the birds. Its when it gets dead silent is when You need to start looking over your shoulder, thats all Im gonna say
We need a "Book of T.A.O."
That dog is just dying to play!
TA THANK YOU FOR EDUCATING ME THE PAST 2 YEARS ON BUSHCRAFT. Really has helped.
Straight to the point.
The wood where you live is perfect for bushcraft
Yup, you are good. Not one word needed to be spoken to get your point across. Even the dog got in on the action. Thanks for a relaxing, peaceful, informative video. I learned a couple tricks from you.
Just want to tell you my family loves watching you guys! Your dad, Dustin, you and the dogs. You have inspired my family to spend more time together outside. Also wanted to say take negative comments with a grain of salt. Some people just like to be rude. Keep doing what you do. Thanks
Jesus Christ died for your sssinnnsssss please turn to him for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. . .
@@jesuslovesyou2616 why u got a lisp?
Did you know when sharpening a log to drive in the ground, All you need to do is sharpen on ( one side ) And if you are wanting the log to brace something put the sharpen side ( away from what you want held) As you drive the log in the dirt it will push away from the cut side!
1) Dog is adorable. Take time to play. :)
2) I really learned a LOT.
3) On a different channel, a guy cuts a small (4') pine tree, de-limbs all but the bottom row of branches, and then uses it as a carrier for about 30 other pine boughs to take back to camp. Laid the cut branches on that bottom row, then picked it up by the trunk and carried it back to camp. I thought that was darn clever.
Travois type system sounds like?
Link'd be great if you refind it maybe please?
Man you have really worked hard getting all these shelters in place .. amazing
Đây có lẽ không phải là cuộc sống đúng nghĩa với từ BUSHCRAFT . Tuy vậy , tui cũng LIKE cho chủ nhân đỡ buồn !
I very much enjoy watching you, and your dad building, camping, fishing and teaching your bushcraft skills. I was born and raised in Southern Africa, my brothers and I spent a lot of time outdoors with my dad, he taught us so many amazing things. Your video's bring back fond memories, Thank you.
Very beautiful nature, I loved going to mountains when I was little🍂🍃🍃🍂🍂🍃⛰
You walk the walk by showing you walk the talk. My hat off to you Sir.
Love this, so therapeutic. This is what life is about!
He said 0 words yet i've learned a library worth of skills and bushcraft "tricks".
That wigwam was impressive.
Thank U for Ur Videos 👍
U can watch it relax and learn some new skills by listen to the sound of Nature
Greetings from Vienna Austria
28:57 I said it in the full video, but I still love that Amber is helping clear the area by removing the exposed roots
Guys he doesn't do the bushcraft shelter every time . He is showing what CAN be done in a survival situation if you Don't have a tent and a couple of tools. Good job on the videos, I really enjoyed them . THX ! Florida.
How is there magically a tree strump in every bushcraft video I watch?
Just recently got into Bushcraft shelter building do to seeing your vids and feeling the old itch to build bunkers as a kid. And boy I must say I don't understand why I've ever lived any different lifestyle. So from humblebushman. Thank you for bringing me to such a joyous lifestyle again.
The dog was by far the best part of the video. I still absolutely love the content. Actively in the car to tennessee to stay in a log cabin and just trying to refresh, keep it up
Love these videos and I learn a lot from them
This was fantastic, I camp with the family usually in tents , but I think me and the kids will be practicing this in the fall and winter here in texas , we love being in the desert and arid areas , not much wood , but I believe we can rustle up some mesquite , plus burning mesquite pods keep a lot insects away , like masquitos and flies , I’m not just Mexican but also from the tribe tarahumara , growing up me and my father camped out in the arid climate of Mexico and texas in the middle of summer eating different variety of cactus and yucca , mesquite pods , grinding the seeds down for a sweet tea , people worry about snakes in this area , but they are just an easy good source that you can easily fish with the heat of a campfire
The amount of work that goes into this is so worth the satisfaction
With as many bushcraft shelters you've built, I'm surprised you didn't build yourself a small village
Dont build to many or an iron golem will appear .
@@peachesrambo4037 lol
They have
Hopefully there cramped together
Damn that last camping stove seems amazing. When my kid gets older going to get one for family camping
Hi Mike
Using 2 trees as a brace to snap a small branch in half, very clever ... I’d forgotten about that technique. Thanks for reshowing it.
👍😀
Ta fishing AND ta outdoors! My god, aren't we lucky chappies!
Your vedios are so helpful for us and for thos that are in the wilderness
wow! you are nearly at a million subscribers! this was an excellent video. thank you! enjoy your canoe trip and bushcraft show.
LOL, 28:57 even the dog is helping out! Good job!
Being in that type of forest makes it so much easier, pine trees are awesome!
We thoroughly enjoyed this video Mike. You work so hard and are so dedicated to making great content. Thank you so much.
I am trying to watch this in my low profile bivvi out in the wood doing a wild STEALTH camp, great video mate
Now that's how you do a video ..no talk no bullshit ..straight to the point and get r done ..hes way better than most...
good video recording, greetings one hobby from Indonesia, friends👍👍👍
I love that campstove man! I definitely need to get me one for the next years winter adventures! Have a safe trip and a good time at the Bushcraft show! Cheers!!
Every bushcraft shelter I've seen on youtube is predicated on the idea that you have lots of pole straight trees as building materials. Hell, so I could build a nice shelter anywhere as long as its in a forest with lots of three inch poles growing out of the ground. How nice.
You are very hard worker.
you did it very beautifully❤❤❤❤
I might get a part time job and just live like this for the rest of my life.
Not even kidding, already purchasing the supplies.
Can't fault you. Not so long ago, we all lived like this, without the stress and rat race of today's corrupt system. Here in the U.K. we were all swindled out of our god given right to roam free, and camp wherever we chose to in our wilderness areas, which are dwindling daily.
Hell i'm so envious of those long, straight logs you have....
Obviously cut down trees are fallen trees
As a 10-year scout leader, I love the last thing! Leave no trace!! Well done 👍🏼 ⚜️
I just love yours, your Father's and Dustin's channels. Very good watch and informative. All three of you guys keep up the excellent videos.
What is the name of his fathers channel ?
Daniel charbonneau,
Thanks
super nice compilation! Very educational and nice to see these videos again. I recently did my first multi-day hike and overnight stay in Scotland and now understand why you like this so much. Keep it up! Cheers from Holland
Second shelter is incredible and very low profile!
I love shelters
Perfect amount of music and narration 👌
Great video❤❤
Maybe you already have a video of this, but maybe you could do a video on how you go about selecting your sites. And probably most important, how to deal with getting clean drinkable water, if you have none. Great videos btw.
I love your natural videos
Just watched my first video and subscribed. Reminded me of the "club house" my grandpa made us four girls . We thought it was grand. I remember learning about notches to fit the walls together. Thank you for the good memories. ‼️😍‼️
I love the last one. You should make a video of just watching the fire and listening to the rain on the teepee. That would make a great zen/meditation video.
Best video yet! Very cool.
Handsome dog!
Thank u for teaching us all this kind of stuff..you could of honestly saved someone's life now that we have the knowledge you provided..some people may look at this as just a video but for someone like me this may be the difference between life and death..especially with how things are going now and days a retreat to the woods may be the safest place and now bcuz of u I/we know how to make quick shelters..again thank u!
You are by far the best on CZcams. I use your methods here in Canada alot.
I’ve learned a lot about building shelters by watching you love your videos keep them coming
Great work, Mike. Thanks for the video, and for once not making me hungry while you did it!
Speach less love u guyz from pakistan
I really enjoy your craft, thank you for sharing it!
I lived out doors when I was younger. Truly the best memories of my life.
I bet you would enjoy this BBC I got even more Gina ..please you in ways no white boy can

I love your work
Jadi inspirasiku
Do more of These Videos please i love them kinda relaxing at the same time and i‘m a bushcrafter myself!
Amazing channel by the way 👍🏻👍🏻
Hmmm nyc
my favorite one is the no tools one, since its like a "human nest"
This motivates me to build one
Thank you 💞
The site plan was excellent
*I AM GLAD TO HEAR THAT*
I do love campings and hopefully i can do campings like this! 😍🏕 thanks for the effort of making this video, i gain more ideas on how to make a shelter without tents...
I remember all these builds thanks for the combined video Mike.
Thank you for posting! Hope you enjoy the canoe trip and the bushcraft fair. Hope you get some video to post from both!
Wonderful nice building soldier
But be careful with fire 🔥 and dry leabes
I'd love to see this guy do it in Florida
Good luck!
Wouldn’t have any straight sticks. Would have to rely on saul paw meadows lol
Have watched most of these in the individual videos, but lived the compilation. Hope your trip is as fun as the videos are for us to watch.
That is supposed to be loved not lived.
@27:14 beautiful dog
... Super Video... far & away the best shelter builders on you tube... IMO. Thanks, i can learn a lot by just watching... & Thanks for knowing your core base of viewers aren't 'potted plants' ; )
Супер говнище, дрочила
