Sir that stove is big enough to heat a 3-6m square large field tent. My dad used one about that size for his 16 x 16 foot canvas tent. (5 x 5m about)

I came to realise very early on that even on one's own land but even more so on land with permission that a quick call or email to the local police to let them know there'll be shooting going on saves them the bother of having to come out and check. They can put the person reporting at ease straight away by saying 'Oh yes, they've let us know they're there and what they're doing.'

Just to mention to those not in the UK that the British Isles are one of the most "under-treed" areas in Europe. Only around 10% is wooded, and much of that is pine plantations. There's very little woodland left. That might go someway to explaining the high costs involved in purchasing woodland. But, the very fact that woodland is so rare (relatively), means it is held very dear in the British psyche. Perhaps a yearning , nostalgia, or as the Welsh call it, hiraeth, for a time when the British Isles were almost entirely covered in trees.

I've had all kinds of American MRE's. I'm from a military family. I am absolutely in love with any of them that have shakes or smoothies. That's my favorite. But I can say, I honestly love every one I've ever had.

Amazing vid. One thing you could add is the importance of straight grain and grain orientation for haft/handle strength. Your ash is incredibly straight and aligned correctly as can be seen at 7:40 so should last for ages (with oiling).. Good workmanship all round, congratulations.

I clicked on this, hopingto see a rural riot. I know this is a camping channel, and I'm being selfish, hoping to see a bit of full contact among the leaves. I did learn a bit about camping equipment, so not all is lost. Still would have been fun to see a scrap, though.

A lot of the mixes I've been looking at in structures I've seen in Utah.. when you look closely you can see burned pieced of wood in it. Very fine pieces.

Seeing that old Rover makes me think of that clip from Top Gear of Clarkson going "The most unreliable car in the world...is the most reliable car...IN THE WORLD" from the one where they drive across South America or something. I do love those classic looking Defenders though. I've just always loved those big boxy European car designs, especially like the late 80s/early 90s. The Land Rover Defender, the Mercedes W460, the old Volvos. Simultaneously classy and built like tanks.
